The project was very well managed, and they involved me in any decisions that arose during installation. For example they were able to keep the existing copper flashing rather than replace it, which was in the original estimate, and it looks great! The final cost was actually slightly less than the contract price. I'd definitely use their services again.

Overall, I was pleased with the project. The quality of the materials was as described in the contract with no surprises. The work crew was skilled, efficient, and completed a two day job in one day, which was a concern initially. Ultimately, they just worked longer?12 hours as opposed to 8 hours. It saved them from having to make a lengthy trip the following day. Their pace remained the same throughout the day. I didn't notice any degradation in their attention to detail. They finished after dark. A concern I had was that they weren't going to be able to clean up as completely as they would've been able to had they finished during daylight hours. With that said, they were meticulous in checking for nails and debris before they left. When I checked the next day, and the contract manager returned to look over the job. We didn't notice an excess of debris or nails around the site. They were clear about letting me know it was impossible to assure every nail would be picked up. If I noticed a lot of nails or debris I could call them back, and they would do another cleanup. The following day I noticed some shingle wrapping got tangled in some wires from the antenna. The wires had been pulled away from the house during the installation. When I called the project manager, he came out the next day and repaired all issues. A project manager is split between two or more project sites. I was initially concerned about the project manager not been present during the project completion. He showed up briefly the day of the project, answered any questions I had, and then left for the day to attend another project. The on-site foreman answered any questions I had. He was experienced, skilled, and professional. I didn't have a problem with the manager not being present due to the foreman's qualifications. The only problem I've had with the transaction was in paying the bill online. There were some glitches with the software and the subsequent follow-up by phone. Their automatic voice referral process needs to be fine-tuned. It's the old "in through the front door and out through the back door" experience. I had to call a second time and spoke to a friendly human, who took my name and number. Someone called me back immediately, answered my questions, apologized for the inconvenience, and explained why they were having problems. Apparently, online payment is a feature they've recently put into place, and some problems have to be worked out. I was fine with their explanation. Overall?good experience. If my roof starts leaking again, I may change my mind, but I think they did an excellent job.

Brief history: the old roof was approximately 20 years old and had two areas of water damage. The structure is a ranch style house with approximately 1100 square foot living area with a chimney and no dormers. Day 1. the work was schedule to begin between 8:30 and 9:00 am on Wednesday April 16th. The shingles arrived that morning at 8:20am and the 4 man crew arrived 10 minutes later. At 8:45 they had the protective sheeting attached to the gutter system, to catch all old roofing material and nails, and the work began stripping the old shingles off the house. The removal of the shingles took approximately 4 hours. Upon completion, the roof revealed 5 areas of water damage and not the 2 areas of water damage as previous noted. The crew, headed up by Boni, took this all in stride and without hesitation replaced all the bad areas with new plywood sheeting which they brought with them. The day ended at 7:00pm with about 90% of the roofing completed. Day 2: Baker Roofing returned the next day to finish roofing, but it was determined that they did not have enough shingles to complete the job. Apparently, the estimate on the square footage of the roof was incorrect by 100 square feet. At this time, Boni called the office told them of the situation and 1 hour later the contract manager, Patrick Lane, arrived with the additional shingles to complete the job. It should be noted that I was not charged for the additional shingles. Overall: The house looks great! and with a 10 year non-prorated guarantee on the shingles and a 10 year guarantee on the workmanship, I can sleep easier at night. The only regret I have is that I did not take advantage of the $300.00 coupon from Angies List that would have gone towards the new roof, but I am very happy with the outcome and will use them again if needed.

Responded quickly and gave me an estimate. Examined my roof for any other problems. Most importantly because I had a leak, they responded very quickly.

They did a really good job. I didn't have any problems since. They came out on time and they fixed it right the first time.

Estimate appointment was great - had lots of details about company and process. Communication was prompt and courteous. Install went smoothly and quickly. Clean up was well-done - haven't found any debris (pieces of shingle or stray nails, etc) since install. Billing was smooth. They forgot to include my coupon from Angie's list, but I sent an e-mail and they fixed it immediately and mailed a new invoice the same day. Shouldn't need a new roof for a good while, but will be hiring Baker again when we do.

They came out to assess our roof which was only 6 years old at the time. A gentleman came to look at what was going on the roof and took pictures of roof and inside the home where the roof leaked. He told us what area was leaking and what needed to be done. He said that he would give all the information to the estimators and would be getting a phone call and e-mail of the estimate with supplies and procedures listed. We got a call within a few days and an email detailing the work. They gave a 2 year guarantee of any leaks. We agreed and the worker showed up one week later and finished the job in a couple of hours. He was polite and courteous and cleaned up all the debris. You would of never known he was there. They did an excellent job and would recommend this company for any type of roof repair!

.The work was completed as promised. The workers were diligent, responsible and cleaned up after themselves. We were very pleased with their work.

They are the best. They came out and looked at it and I had 3-4 different bids. They found some damaged boards that needed to be replaced and nobody else did. When they came out and went to work they didn’t always gag around. They cleaned up each night before the left and you didn’t even know anybody was here except for one trash. They were always on time. If it rained they would put tarpaulin on the part of the house that was exposed and sat in the truck and when it stopped they went back to work. When I cleaned up I don’t thing I found over a half a dozen of nails since they have been here two years ago. I went with them because?? of the service and their product was better also.

As we all know, the reputation of a service provider depends very heavily on the people who actually perform the hands-on labor. The project manager is almost soley responsible for getting them trained, keeping them up to date, instilling professionalism and a sense of responsibility, and encouraging them to be proud of the company they represent. Patrick Lane was the PM for Baker Roofing on our job, and we can't praise him and his team enough for exceeding our hopes and expectations. We actually LIKE looking at our roof, and all the little EXTRA trim work Patrick allowed. Patrick oversaw every detail, even though he had 3 or 4 other jobs going on at the same time. We won't need another roof in our lifetime....we hope....but if we did we would request Patrick Lane again, and will certainly recommend him and Baker Roofing to anyone we know who needs, or wants, a new roof.

Contacted Baker Roofing using link in Angie's list. Promptly received call back from office saying that my request would be sent to salesman. Salesman called and asked for appointment on Monday of the next week. He said that he needed 2 hours. Work obligations required that I put him off until Friday, but I told him that he could go to the house and measure so that he could present the quote more quickly. We scheduled the appointment for Friday. I would take time off from work so that he could measure and present the quote. The salesman called Friday morning saying that he had an unexpected safety meeting to go to in Raleigh and asked if he could go to the house, measure and leave the quote in the mailbox. I said yes and that my husband was home. The salesman provided the quote for more work than we wanted, e.g. soffit and facia replacement. Quote was twice as much as previously received quotes. We did not use Baker Roofing.

I liked Baker Roofing for their communication, punctuality and clean up. They plan before they got here to give us the time frame. They kept us informed and they were on top of everything.

I worked through Ed Woody. Their response to my every request was excellent. Very happy with the work and very happy with the service overall.

They called when they were on the way, showed up on time. The repairman was polite, finished the job and left the site clean. I would call on Baker Roofing again. very satisfied.

Very professional. Terrific communication. Different person diagnoses the problem than does the work so there is a bit of a delay, but that was all explained. Cost was under the estimate. Showed me pictures and described the problem well

From the initial interview to the invoicing, the experience was very good. John was punctual and professional arriving for the consultation, inspecting the job area, and explaining what we could expect. Although weather was a challenge when the work was to begin, Wayne let me know that they would not be able to complete the job on the initially scheduled date but alternate plans were made. When the job was completed, the only evidence of the job remaining was our house with a brand new roof. Well done Baker Roofing!

Baker gave us the most expensive quote; however, our roof is complex and had issues, so we wanted to make sure the replacement was done correctly. We got three estimates. Baker's estimate included fixing problems of which we were unaware. The other companies missed several problems in their estimates. Had we hired a one of those companies, either they wouldn't have fixed these problems, or would have added the cost of fixing them to their original estimate. We decided to go with Baker. They arrived when they said they would, cleaned up beautifully each day, and the roof looks great!
