This deal had to be rescheduled multiple times do to the freezing weather we had in Feb. The owner was very responsive and we rescheduled for after the bad weather passed. The guys showed up to do the job during the quoted timeframe, and I showed them what I wanted done, which I had mentioned in correspondence with owner previously. There were multiple guys, so it ended up being about one hour and 20 minutes for each of them to work to make the four hours of labor. One of my main tasks was raking up leaves and taking them off. I wasn't informed that the removal of the leaves would be an extra 25-35 dollar charge that I had to pay directly to them. This was frustrating as it should have been expressed during the booking or in previous correspondence.

Alliance Landscapes did an AMAZING job on our yard! Jose, Tio, and the guys worked incredibly hard in some intense heat to rebuild two retaining walls in our yard and to grade our land into a beautiful, flowing landscape. They did it all in about 3 days and we were thrilled with the work!! These retaining walls are definitely built to last and Randy was so awesome to work with us within our budget to get everything that we needed fixed made even better than we had hoped for! a bunch of people came and cleared up the back yard where I wanted hem to lay the sod after two days, they came again and laid the sod it was done professionally and with very good expertise. fantastic job.the lawn looks great

Pricey for the black and white plan. No color mock ups. I ask specifically for as much of my current landscape to remain, specifically my boxwoods. This was not done. I also ask for my garden to be fenced. This was drawn on the plan but no specifics as to the type of fence, etc.

At first we booked Alliance for an Angie's List deal. They showed up on time, talked through the project, and worked really diligently for the entire time they were at the house. I was super impressed with how thorough their clean-up was because I wasn't expecting that. We were so happy with their work that we ended up hiring them to clear some additional overgrown areas of the yard and to prune some of our shrubs in a modern style. Could not have been more pleased with the work and the crew. Would hire them again in a minute, and actually, we probably will.

Excellent quality of work. The stone masons are true artisans. The owner (Randy) could not have been more helpful. Pleasure to work with.

Alliance Landscapes did a fantastic job on our rental property! Randy met with us on-site to outline a plan and offer his suggestions providing a detailed quote later that day. We were looking for a reliable company that would be able to set a drainage system as well as handle the landscaping on the property and Randy and his crew did just that! This property was a mess and we had serious issues with drainage as well as a lack of landscaping after years of neglect. The property is heavily shaded and therefore landscaping was going to be a feat. However, Randy was able to draw up a plan and offer recommendations for what would work best in this situation! We asked for several revisions on our quote and each time he was able to quickly revise the quote and give us an updated estimate reflecting the changes. Randy updated us on the project and offered to do a walk-through to make sure we were completely satisfied with the work he and his crews had done. The crew was able to complete the job in a timely fashion especially during peak season, which was one of the reasons we chose Alliance Landscapes. We are very impressed with the work and are very happy with the aesthetics of the job! We would recommend Alliance Landscapes in the future and will definitely use them again!

Provider replied to my inquiry after many days (month). I mentioned that I would like several jobs to be done and if he could prepare a budget. He looked at the garden and said he would prepare and estimate. Many days passed again, and no estimate. I sent him an email reminding him about the estimate. He replied several days later and the estimate surpassed all estimates I had previously got for more than double ... in some jobs even triple. I mentioned that to him and he replied that he was not to negotiate. I asked for my money back and he agreed. But because it was an Angie's list deal I have to find another deal and then Angie's list will apply the money to the new deal.

It went perfect. They came in and did a good job, left and we had no problems.

There were several weather delays this spring but Alliance kept in touch with me to reschedule. I would highly recommend them, especially to homeowners with large, wooded properties like mine.

It couldn't have gone any better! Randy & his crew were on time and very skilled. They did the ground prep work the first day and laid the sod shortly after it arrived the second day. Randy was very knowledgeable on the proper care/watering of the sod. We followed his instructions and now have a beautiful lawn. (Well, until our dog decided it would be a great place to dig this morning.....pets--gotta' love 'em....)

Randy and his crew were great to work with on this project. It was a nice change having a team of qualified and experienced landscapers, who were willing to work with my design and install everything without much instruction. It is obvious his company has years of landscape experience and not just a start up willing to do smaller jobs. Although I originally intended to just search out a deal that would be affordable for our installation, we found a company we can use for years to come. I highly recommend!

I bought the Angie's List Deal for 4 hours of landscaping work. Follow up after the purchase was quick and professional. We had a bit of miscommunication though on the scheduled time. So I unexpectedly got a call while I was at work saying that they were at my house. Instead of rescheduling, I just verbally walked them through what needed to be done and they did a fantastic job! I was nervous what I would find when I got home but it really couldn't have been better. They did a really nice job pruning everything and cleaning up after themselves. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

They did a fantastic job with our yard. We are having them come back in the spring to take care of a our frontage again. They did an awesome job!!

They did a great job and were very nice to work with. I'm new to North Carolina and was not sure what needed to be done to what plants. Randy educated me on what is recommended to be done with the different variety of plants and shrubs. The crew did a great job trimming and cleaning up everything. I know have some ideas of what I want to do come spring, and will be looking to hire this company again. Randy is very nice and easy to talk to.

Prior to the visit spoke with Randy Jolliff by phone regarding what services would be provided for the Angie's List Special Deal. I had many landscaping concerns and areas that needed to be addressed. After discussing these areas in detail it was decided Randy would address the most pressing issue, leaf removal, review landscaping concerns, and give recommendations during the service visit. Randy called on the day of the visit to confirm the time of arrival. Randy and his crew arrived on the agreed date and time. The crew cleared a large amount of leaves and debris from the yard, some of which was in very muddy areas. The crew members were very considerate in observing bulbs and plants that were visible in the yard during the leaf removal. The leaves and debris were removed in a time efficient way. The crew made the yard, even in the mist of winter, look so much better. Randy examined the areas of concern ie, tree pruning / removal, drainage issues in muddy areas, planting grass in bare areas, and placing a stone walkway. Randy provided several options for addressing the different landscaping concern areas. Randy included different price effective ways of resolving drainage issues and placing a stone walkway. I was most impressed by Randy's professionalism, willingness to provide alternatives and solutions to long term problems, and honesty in telling me what he could and could not do. Just before leaving Randy came back to tell me he had thought of something else that could be done to resolve the drainage issue. It is clear to me Randy is all about doing excellent work for his clients. I unreservedly give Randy Jolliff the highest recommendation as he will be providing landscaping services for me in the near future.

Randy came out and talked with my wife about what was going to be done for the yard cleanup and then discussed the additional mulch my wife wanted. He gave us a quote for the mulch and after a couple of messages back and forth we agreed on a price. He then contacted us with the date he would be there and they arrived as scheduled and did a wonderful job. We are extremely happy with the way the front yard looks. My wife said they worked very hard and didn't waste any time getting the job done. We plan to use them again when we start fixing up our backyard.

Alliance Landscape team cleared area where walkway would be installed. This included digging up roots, plants, and grass areas. Team leveled pathway to assure proper drainage away from house. Team installed drainage lines and tied them into current drainage lines. Team installed a retaining wall which married up and matched in color an already established retaining wall. Installed walkway from driveway along side of house to rear of house meeting deck steps. Team also laid walkway from front steps to water spigot, and continued to side of house to crawl space door. All work was professionally finished, with a smooth flow along the walkways with excellent cut curves. Once all walkways completed, team landscaped side of house between house and walkway; even replanting one of the bushes we desired to keep. Remaining areas is now prepped for landscaping. Using same stones as walkway, team edged patio, thus matching patio color and establishing a sharp edge. All professionally done. Cleaned up work areas everyday, and even power washed the driveway removing dirt tracked from all the work. I would highly recommend Alliance for any stone landscaping. I plan to seek out their recommended landscape designer and will most likely use Alliance for the execution of the landscaping.

Randy and his crew were friendly and mostly hardworking (one gentleman clearly wasn't big on weeding). They did what I asked, gave me some advice (which I requested), and made sure to stay the full time (1 hour, since it was a crew of 4). Overall, I was very satisfied with their work and would use them again if a similar deal was offered. My one suggestion is about scheduling, as I wasn't sure they were coming until they called about 20 minutes beforehand. I work at home and my schedule is flexible, so it wasn't a big deal, but the uncertainly could be an issue for someone who would have to stay home from work to meet them.
