Excellent work! Purposely waited 6 months to write review to verify all leaks were fixed and gutters worked as promised. They do and we are happy customers.

Very punctual in returning a request for the quote. Came out the same day and explained fully what they were going to do and broke down the quote by line item. After confirming I wanted the work done, they were there the next day and appeared to perform good work and completed their task in a timely manner and cleaned up adequately after themselves. Very good cost compared to other quotes received. I would definitely recommend this company for use.

It went very well. Eduardo and his partner were punctual, professional and explained all worked prior to job. They provided pictures of what was repaired in addition to showing me what had been removed. They Did not charge me for a few extra shingles I needed and gave me a little background knowledge on roof maintainence.

SUMMARY: Matt and his team from Allen & Deans (including his window subcontractor Eric) were great to work with and very professional. While this work took many months to complete, it was due to the multiple items we had them address, our vacation schedule and the weather. I would strongly recommend Allen & Deans to others. INTERACTION: Matt was friendly and easy to work with, and very good at keeping us up to date on the status and schedule. We have employed a wide range of contractors and service people over the past few years, and Matt was easily the best to work with. QUALITY: From what I can tell the quality of their work was more than acceptable, and I don't believe there was a single time that I found something that had to be fixed afterward. They were also very good at making sure the site was properly cleaned up after the job was finished. PRICE: The original quote I received from Matt was very reasonable and lower than most of the other competing quotes we received. In fact, if it wasn't for the great reviews on AngiesList I would have been hesitant to go with them, worried that either their work would be sub par, or their final invoice would be much higher than their quote. The final cost was exactly what was quoted, and so there were no surprises at the end.

We had some storm damage ( missing shingles ).Matt from Allen and Deans came out and gave us a estimate .Very professional.Did not over promise and under deliver.Came back when promised.Did work as promised.Cleaned up when work was done.Would recommend to anyone who needs roof repair.

On initial inspection found two things that needed fixing that the other bidders did not see. Workers were courteous and helpful.

They did a great job! The guys were very nice and they are easy to work with. I am happy with the work and would reach out to them again in the future.

The roofing job went well. Matt Maresh and his team did a fine job and there are no known problems. There's been a ton of torrential rain in the 30 days since the job was done and no known leaks or problems at this point. I plan to talk to Matt in the near future about some gutter work.

The salesman was quick to come out and survey my roof. He went through the attic and made notes regarding water damage. He promised to bring a written estimate within the week. That was the last I saw of him. I could not get a response from him nor his office. I elected to use another contractor who was responsive and timely.

They were good. We are happy with them. They were responsive to the work that they did and how we wanted it. They came out and did the measurements when it was needed to get done. They were very professional. The price was good.

As I do with all home repairs completed by professional technicians, I kept a log on my interactions with Allen & Dean (A & D). The details I supply here are taken from that log. I contacted A & D on August 6, 2012 (2:30 p.m.) to inquire about receiving an estimate for the shingle and gutter repairs on a three-season room that was damaged as a result of a rain/windstorm on July 28, 2012. When I called A & D I spoke with the office manager (Terry) who took my name, address, telephone number, and email. My appointment was scheduled for the following day. I was informed that Matt Maresh would be arriving at my home. Also, I was informed that an estimate would be emailed to me. The next day, I received a call about one hour before my scheduled appointment from Mr. Maresh informing me about the cancellation of another appointment, and inquiring whether it would be permissible for him to arrive at my home earlier than scheduled. I indicated that it was fine to arrive earlier, and Mr. Maresh arrived promptly. He informed me that he is the owner of A & D (had purchased it from Allen & Dean) and that he had simply kept their name on the stationary since there was so much of it left over. Mr. Maresh also indicated that if he was "fortunate to get my business" he could begin the work the following week. I was very impressed with his professionalism. I made my decision on August 10 and called A & D at 9:30 a.m. to indicate that I would like them to complete the job. Around 4:15 that same afternoon I received a follow-up call from Mr. Maresh who requested to return to my home to take a second look at the needed repairs. There was an additional missing shingle that had not been taken into consideration on his initial visit and so I inquired about whether its repair cold be incorporated into the work as well. Mr. Maresh replied that it could and that it would be done sans additional charge to the original price he'd quoted. He also noted that I would receive a call 1-2 days before the work was scheduled to begin. I received a message on Thursday, August 16 from Terry informing me that the work would be done on Monday, August 20. As I did not retrieved this message until 8:00 p.m., I returned the call at 8:00 a.m. Friday, August 17 and spoke with Terry. At that time she had changed the start date to Wednesday, August 22; however, this was not a problem for me because it turned out that Wednesday (rather than Monday) was more convenient for my scheduled. I was informed that the workers would arrive at my home on Wednesday, August 22 at 9:30 a.m. Unfortunately, on Wednesday, August 22 at 9:30 a.m. there were no workers at my home. Then at 10:32 a.m., one hour after they were scheduled to be at my home, I called the A & D office, and had to leave a message. About 30 minutes after I'd left my message (11:01 a.m.) I received a call back from Terry inquiring about whether the workers had arrived. They had not, and Terry indicated that she would be contacting Mr. Maresh. About 30 minutes later (11:28 a.m.) I received a call back from Mr. Maresh informing me that the workers would be at my home between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Mr. Maresh then noted that due to rain the previous day, his crews were behind on their schedule. During that call, I informed Mr. Maresh that while rain delays are unavoidable I was quite surprised I had not been called to let me know what had happened. At exactly 2:05 p.m. Mr. Maresh and a two-man crew arrived at my home to begin the repairs. This was 4.5 hours AFTER they were scheduled to be there. Mr. Maresh greeted me by apologizing for being late and then he said 'better late than never'. I was surprised by this remark, which I considered to be quite unprofessional. At 2:45 p.m. Mr. Maresh rang my doorbell to inform me that the job had been completed. I came outside to inspect the job. He apologized again for being late, and indicated Terry would send me an invoice for the work. Although I was uncomfortable with how A & D handled delays, all and all I felt the work was good. Moreover, because I did comparison shop for pricing, I do know that A & D was the best price for the work I needed. As such, I would probably use A & D again.

We thought the price was reasonable for the work that was done. Everything looks good.

We were so pleased with Allen & Dean Inc. They did a great job on our new gutters and they look so nice. They were professional, prompt, and efficient. Matt is a great person to work with. He was professional and promp with an estimate and getting the work done. Edwardo the supervisor on the job and his helper arrived on time and went right to work. It was obvious they knew what they were doing. When they finishred they cleaned everything and blowed the pine needles off the roof leaving everythihg looking clean. I can't say enought about them, They were all great and wonderful people to work with. If you need a job dome I would highy reccomened them. Thanks for reading, glenda & vance link

They did exactly what they were supposed to do. There was some mix up with the replacement shingles. They were using the wrong color and they didn't ask us ahead of time. I brought it up to them and they used the ones we did want.

Matt Maresh came over to give me an estimate, and he clearly understood what I needed, made a few suggestions, and gave me a sketch of the work to be done and a list of parts. The work was done promptly and professionally, exactly as we had agreed, including some parts that were to be left for me to complete a related project. I am extremely happy with the work, the professionalism and the ease of communication, and wish Allen and Deams were available for all of the work on my house

A couple of years ago, they repaired our roof which required woodworking detail and construction. We are very pleased with their work, and plan to use them again in the future for additional repairs.

Everything went great. They had a good price and the owner, Matt, was extremely on top of things, courteous, and a wonderful person. His wife, who answers the phone, was great to deal with as well.

I was happy with their work.Left place clean and did what they had promised.I had done the same job last year with another person who really messed up.This time I did not go the cheap route and I am gland.I had four bids and allen&deans was the highest but well detailed. if you need a roof repair i would recommend them a lot.

Reasonably priced for time and area involved After written estimate came in reasonable time. Repair involved over a weekend so they covered the area with plastic and returned with the needed materials.

Overall Allen and Dean did a great job. They came out right away to do an estimate, however, I did have to call back a couple of times to get the work scheduled, when they should have called me. Other than that, it was a very satisfactory experience.

I have already recommended Allen and Deans to a neighbor, and would definitely encourage anyone to utilize their services. They are a long-standing local company with an owner who is personally involved in the management of the ongoing project.
