I purchased 2 Angie's List deals for a check-up on my 2 A/C units from Air Experts Heating and Cooling. At first, everything seemed to be fine. they showed up on time and went to work checking out the A/C units. Keep in mind - there was nothing wrong with my A/C prior to my call. This was simply a preventative maintenance visit to make sure our 2 units stay in good condition. They were supposed clean/service both units during the check-up. At the end of the service, i was told both units were in good condition, but I should keep an eye on a couple of components in the downstairs, main A/C unit. Within the next 24 hours, those components failed and my A/C unit on the main level of the house quit working completely. Reminder - nothing wrong with either of my A/C units prior to the call. To give the vendor credit - i called and they came back the next day and were happy to hand me a $350 bill to repair the failed components. As if that wasn't bad enough, within the next 2 weeks, my upstairs unit quit working. I called a different service who came out and said the unit was filthy and way over due for a service and cleaning. when we explained a service was just performed 2 weeks prior, he told us the upstairs unit had no evidence of being touched. After scheduling a preventative maintenance for 2 A/C units that were working fine, I might concede that bad luck could have been the cause of one unit going out within 24 hours, but to have both units fail raises a lot of concerns.

Marvin listened to the information i provided describing the issues i had been having with my upstairs unit. He then performed diagnostics ont he unit and found that the compressor was not working properly. He suggested replacement of the entire unit, including the coils in the attic. The unit was installed the next day. The installers were very professional even though they had to spend considerable time in exceedngly hot attic. I was very pleased with the process and the results.

First of all, I'm a N..C. licensed professional engineer who is very skeptical of HVAC contractors. I've had some bad experiences and, in my opinion, seems to be an industry that is plagued with some corrupt contractors. However, after my experience with Air Experts I feel I have found an honest, reliable HVAC contractor that I would select for repeat service. No company is perfect and they all make mistakes. The difference is whether they are willing to stand behind their work and make it right when they make a mistake. One of the main reasons I decided to go with Air Experts was their offer to provide a 5 year labor warranty (others offered only 2 years labor; all contractors offered 10 year parts). You can't offer 5 year labor warranty and make too many installation errors or install poor quality heat pumps without going out of business. I obtained quotes from 4 contractors that provided different brand systems (Trane, Carrier, Lennox and Rheem). Air Experts wasn't the cheapest or most expensive but I selected them for several reasons: 1) 5 year labor warranty while all other contractors offered only 2 years labor. 2) The original installed system by the builder was not done properly. Air Experts pointed out installation issues and offered to correct them with the new install for no additional cost. 3) quick response - called them and they came to quote the next day and could schedule for install the following day. 4) Free maintenance the first year. 5) Honest reliable people who were willing to stand behind the install and come back to make things right if we weren't happy.

I am a single woman in my 60s. I tried Air Experts because their introductory price was very reasonable and their Angie's List ratings were high. Also, I had become very unhappy with the service company I had used for years. I have been very pleased with Air Expert's professional technicians and with their polite, respectful and responsive customer service. I look forward to using Air Experts for years to come,

A crew of two guys showed up on time to install the new heat pump. I was a little surprised that there were only two guys, but as it turned out they were able to complete the job. Total time was approx. 7 hours. Everything went smoothly with the installers. I alone spoke to the lead guy, but he was very nice and answered all my questions.

Everything was professionally done to my satisfaction. Dave the salesman was friendly and knowledgeable and gave good advice. The workmen (as well as the gentleman who handled the service call that identified the problem) were prompt, worked well, and answered any questions I had very effectively.

They first came out to diagnose the problem we were having. Found multiple issues and were given choice between repair and replacement. It made more sense to replace with all that was showing up as a problem. The new system was in and working by the end of the next day. The install team was professional and courteous. We have use Air Experts before and will continue to call them first. On a separate matter recently, we came home around 2pm to find the main system down. Called them and they got a technician to before the end of the day. Fortunately it was a minor fix and the system has been operating perfectly since. We were so appreciative of their quick response time.

We noticed our A/C had stopped working. I called at 1 am in the morning because they claim to have 24 hour service. The voicemail says you will receive a response within 15 minutes. Of course, they did not return the call until after 7 am. That was the longest 15 minutes of my life. I purchased this unit through them 2 years ago and it has stopped working 3 times in the past year which troubles me. I was hoping the unit would be able to run for 6 years without any major problems. I guess they don't make them like the used to. The tech did come out in the time frame they promised and he was able to identify the issue to get the A/C working again for free under the warranty coverage.

I purchased the $89 Furnace or Air-Conditioner Tune-Up with 1 Lb of Refrigerant because my 3rd floor was not being cooled as it should. Driver showed up on time, however complained that it was an hour drive to my home and was very unfriendly. I expressed that i did not understand much about HVAC units as i had never been a homeowner before. Technician was rude and was angered that my AC unit was not off, and showed little care of my concerns or questions. I asked him to look at the damper system and he refused saying it was not part of the checkup. Overall the checkup was a waste of money as he did not do a full checkup. Technician wanted to get out of the house as fast as possible and did not even try to help resolve the issue. Issue still persists.

Perfect! I was eager to get them over since it's been a hot summer. Pros The scheduling folks were friendly and helpful. The tech was efficient and courteous. Cons They were booked up over a month out. They usually check the air filters, but this time they didn't (which is fine, because I can check myself).

Scheduling was pretty quick and easy after purchasing the $89 coupon from Angie's list. Curtis came out and did a very thorough job of maintenance and inspecting the system. He added the refrigerant that was also part of the deal. Curtis showed me some problems and provided me suggestions. He was very professional and helpful. They did a great job.

Several days after one AC unit was "repaired", then subsequently inspected, it shut down completely and had to be replaced. The salesman they sent to my home to discuss replacement options was a true "salesman" indeed. The price he quoted was $800.00+. This seemed very high but he convinced me that prices had greatly increased over the last couple of years. I set up a date for the new installation which was a week or so out from the signed agreement date. I had been baking for 4 days and nights in a 94 degree house so was probably not thinking clearly. Upon reviewing the paperwork, I noticed there was also a charge to replace the furnace! He must have mentioned this, but so subtly that I did not pick up on it. Upon calling him to discuss this, there was no convincing argument to replace the furnace so I cancelled the agreement. The next day I found another business to install the unit for less than half of "Air Experts" quoted price and have been very happy with the new unit and with their business in general. I believe Air Experts should refund all my money.

Provider arrived 45 minutes AFTER the 2 hour window that they had previously specified. Work seemed solid, but they used our hose which they did not turn off or put back upon completion and they cleaning product here that they never came back to reclaim.

Quick appointment and timely service. Tech was knowledgable and professional. Pricing was reasonable. They even gave me credit for an expired promo. No issues with their service.

Our heat went out on the coldest day of the winter in February 2015. We found Air Experts through Angie's list and gave them a call. They came out very quickly and gave us two choices ? repair a dying A/C for $3,000 or replace with a new, much more efficient unit for $8,000. We made the wise decision to go with a new unit. 48 hours later, we were warm again. Our power and gas usage is way down. We were very pleased with the service. They were thorough, prompt, fair and professional. I would recommend them without hesitation.
