Drew was our technician and he was excellent. He diagnosed a problem that two other HVAC techs from a different company did not find. He saved us a lot of frustration and headache trying to identify the issue with our system. We are highly confident in their services and are now under a service contract with them.

I was told the control panel was burned. He replaced it. But it made my heater did not work at all. He told me I need to replace the motor too. I told him it doesn't make sense. He got angry and took a lot of pictures. I told him when you mis-plugged the wires to the new unit. His disagree, I explained to him, then he tried, After switched couple plugs, my heater worked.

The work went extremely well! Everything from the first meeting with Patrick to discuss our needs, to the actual day of the work performance. The workers arrived on time, introduced themselves and explained what to expect for the day. Each worker was friendly, as well as professional. Answering my questions as they work and demonstrating and explaining any question I threw at them. They even went way over and beyond to make sure my specific needs were met at the highest quality level possible. Our home is an older home, so many of the duct covers, return vents, and even the System itself had so many unique qualities that the workers had to be creative and solve unexpected roadblocks. I would highly recommend Air Experts to any of my friends and neighbors!

Michael was courteous and professional. On time. He checked the outside unit and the crawlspace. Checked the inside thermostats and just did a thorough service/freeon etc. He put covers on his shoes when he came in the house; he was responsive to my questions and i felt his information was helpful and clear.

Mike arrived promptly and performed my A/C tune-up. He was polite, professional and very helpful. There had been a problem with the unit and it hadn't been working optimally but he fixed that and said to give him a call if it failed again and he'd come back to check on it. All in all it was the perfect experience and I'd definitely use them again and particularly ask for Mike!! :)

I had 3 companies quote 3 other brands before contacting Air Experts for a final quote. I contacted Air Experts for a 4th quote because they had more than 2700 excellent reviews on Angie's List and an A+ BBB Rating without any complaints. This was quite the opposite of the company I had been with since 1991. I decided that Air Experts was a better fit for me because of Scott's knowledge and willingness to take the time to find the right product and price while increasing the energy efficiency. Air Experts was the only company to measure the upstairs square footage for the new unit. They found that my existing unit of 11 years was undersized by 1/2 ton. This explained why the unit ran very often on hot days which caused very high energy bills. I highly recommend Air Experts!

Sean and his crew (Patrick and Bill) did an excellent job removing the old system and installing the new one. I was very impressed with the work that Sean did to improve the location of the furnace to ensure any future visits by these specialist will be more accommodating and easier for them to get to the work.

It was terrible. I had used them before to do the service on my systems for the last couple of years or so. I have 2 systems and on one of them the heat didn't come on. I called Total Care and this was right before thanksgiving and they told me they'd send somebody out to check on it. They couldn't come out until that Friday after thanksgiving so since I'd used Air Experts and they had serviced it, I said I'd just call them and have them come out to give me an estimate and it took like 40 dollars for them to do a diagnostics on it. The guy came out, looked at the unit and said the motor wouldn't come on and to replace that particular motor would cost me nine hundred and some dollars. He said there was no need to spend money on a unit at that age. A unit normally lasts about 10 years and this unit was 15 years old so he said it would be better to replace it. I call Home Depot trying to find a replacement and they said they'd send somebody out the next day to give me an estimate on replacing the unit. Meanwhile I wanted to check out Home Depot to make sure I'm getting a good price so anyhow, they both came out that Tuesday or Wednesday and they both gave me a price that was comparable. They said it was going to cost me over 7,000 dollars, so I told them I needed time to think about it. Meanwhile I still had the people of Total Care planning to come out that Friday. So the people from Total Care came out and I can't remember the name of the company that they used but the guy called me out there and told me what my problem was. The problem was that a dirt dauber nest was attached to the motor in some kind of way that was preventing the motor from coming on. So he just knocked the dirt dauber nest off, put the cover back on the unit and it worked fine.

It went well. Salesperson seemed to give us a price break if we agreed to allow them to install it the next day. Seems like they keep very busy and may be cheaper than some because of the volume of business they do. Salesman said that "We don't have to advertise, because we have so many good reviews on Angie's List." I've waited a few years before writing this report, to see if anything went wrong, but so far, so good. Installed a Carrier 3 ton Furnace AC and a Honeywell 8000 16 seer thermostat. I have a few minor complaints, but nothing serious. Minor griipes: l. Salesman wrote contract so that our "Net Price after Credits" was $6,400 because of the "$500 tax credit" we would supposedly get on our income taxes. We paid $6,900.00. When tax time came around, I found out that the tax credit was only $250.00 that year. Salesmen should keep up with tax situation if they are going to promote tax credits as a sales incentive 2. Salesman measured space for installation without considering where the air filter was located. When installers came the next day and installed the unit as drawn out by the salesman, they found that the filter compartment was right in front of a cement block support column for the house, making it impossible to change the filter. Luckily the installers were able to redo the install the next day in another part of the basement/crawlspace. I say "luckily" because the new unit was much larger than the old unit, both the part in the basement and the AC unit outside. Of course they didn't charge me anything for this and it was an inconvenience for the installers, not for me. 3. The unit itself came with a warranty, but the owner had to register the product within 6 months of buying it. I only found this document when I went through all the installation and inspection documents left on top of the furnace itself, ready for the next person who did a seasonal service or repair. It should probably have been given to me after the installation. However, Air Experts itself offers a 10 year parts, 10 year compressor and coils, and lifetime warranty on heat exchanger, which was a better warranty than that offered by the company that made the product. 4. Except for the first year, during which seasonal service was free with purchase, the 5 year labor warranty requires an active maintenance agreement, I'm assuming with Air Experts. The cost is about average for one fall and one spring inspection/tune up. So we can't skip any of those maintenance visits. However, their service people are very good. One service person told me how to buy the filters online, instead of through AE, to save some significant cash, and another told us that some people cover their outside AC units with screen, like used in screen doors and windows, to cut down on amount of debris that falls into the unit. I had covered the top of my unit with black plastic from a garbage bag, (only when not in use) because we were having work done on the roof, but I think the screen could be left on top of the unit even while it is running. Not sure (I wasn't the one he spoke with). Overall, I am very satisfied and would recommend Air Experts.

I contacted Air Experts prior to purchasing the Angie's list deal of $329 for a whole house humidifier to confirm the deal and their availability. They said they were unaware of the deal, so I called Angie's List, who confirmed it. I then emailed the link to the head guy, Harry Thompson. His reply was that since Angie's List emailed me the special (in one of their monthly email promotions), he would honor the special. It was presented like he was doing us a favor, which seemed odd. In our initial communications, he determined that since our HVAC system was in the crawl space, they would likely have to install two metal boxes since there is typically no metal ductwork in crawl spaces. These installations would likely add $200 to the price, which it did. He also indicated that they only install humidifiers for the downstairs systems, as there is a flood risk when humidifiers get installed upstairs. I asked if the downstairs system would adequately humidify our 3200 sq. ft. house and he said yes, no problem. In their ad, it also states that the system they install humidifies up to 4000 sq. ft. Their installer, Drew, came promptly and installed it in our crawl space. He tried to upsell us with a $900 thermostat that would control the humidifier from inside the house, which we declined. Without that thermostat, we were told that we would have to go to the crawl space to manually change the humidifier settings. Initially the humidity was good, typically at 45%-50%. But as the weather got colder and dryer, our inside humidity dropped to 30-33%, even though the humidifier was at the maximum level. Drew came back once, and another technician came back 2 more times, but no one could get our humidity up higher than that. For a unit that is supposed to humidify 4000 sq. ft., this has not been the case. We were told we could upgrade (for an extra $1100) and that should do the trick. No thanks. It was a frustrating experience, given that the size of our house and the HVAC being in the crawl space is very standard around this area. SIDE NOTE: The second technician (Rob?) moved the control/thermostat from the crawl space to inside our house in the vent under our stairs, making it super easy for us to change the settings. Drew had indicated that this wasn't possible unless we bought the $900 thermostat. Of course, we never change it because it's always on the highest setting but it's nice to have the control inside. He couldn't give us an answer about why it wasn't placed there in the first place. Overall, the company was very responsive when we called and did try to troubleshoot. But we are left with a system that doesn't humidify as expected with no explanation as to why, other than to spend more money (always with the upsell) on an upgraded unit.

I have my service contract with them and up until now, have been happy. Had the AC units serviced yesterday and was told that my two units are on thier last leg and probably would not last another year. So I had one of their sales members come out today to give me an estimate. Figured it was best to tackle this before the hot weather is upon us. He said they were running a special, buy the AC units get the furnace free. Sounded like a great deal since the furnace is 17 years old. Was given an estimate of over $10,000. I explained that since the furnace was fine and I had lower quotes on the AC units from other providers, I would have to pass. Then he says that they can do the AC units for $6,000 but no free furnace. Think about that for a minute. I asked if you are running a special, buy the units, get a furnace free, then why is the special over $4000 higher than the normal price. He said we built the price of the furnace into the special. Showed him the door and will not be renewing my service contract with them. Very dishonest way to do business. Spent $389 yesterday with them to replace parts and now I wonder if that was a rip off as well.

This was a $39 big deal purchase. They were fine. He wanted to charge me too much money so we did not go with them. They charged us a little more for a service, but that was it. They came out soon after I bought the deal. He said to do that setting we had to pay him or he would have to put the settings back where it was which was weird. It did not take him long to do the job. He didn't fix the problem, my husband was able to fix it. The diagnostic he did was very successful. He wasn't very knowledgeable in that area.
