Description of Work: Chris from Air Experts arrived on time for an annual furnace service. He proceeded to our basement furnace and thoroughly examined each function. He found some concerns and discussed potential problems. Chris then proceeded to our attic furnace which did not have have a better diagnosis. He found a cracked heat exchanger and told us to not use the furnace. Since we have a home warranty company we decided to not have Air Experts do the repair. Chris informed us of their service contract, its affordability, discounts and services. he was extremely professional, informative and thorough. We would certainly use them again.

Description of Work: I had Air Experts tune-up and clean 2 AC units. Although my units are old, the serviceman did not push to sell a new unit. He only estimated how much longer I may have. He was efficient and helpful without being pushy. It was a good experience.

Description of Work: Purchased 2 tune-ups, one for each HVAC system. Brandon was very helpful and answered all my questions. He replaced a capacitor that was out of spec for a price easy to approve. Unfortunately one of our systems had rusted through heat exchangers and was had evaporator coil leaks, which Brandon photographed and showed me on his phone. We decided to pursue getting a new gas pack which was a separate project. Brandon even helped me troubleshoot a gas fireplace log system and get it running. Great service!

Description of Work: Chris arrived on time and performed an efficient service of our 2 heating systems. He was courteous about wearing shoe covers in the house and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. Definitely recommended.

Description of Work: We had just moved into a new house and needed someone to service our heating system. Chris was exceptionally knowledgeable and very helpful. He was prompt and did a thorough check of our system. He also took the time to explain things that we should pay attention to. I would definitely use Air Experts to service my heating and air conditioning equipment.

Description of Work: The tech showed up right on time and did a thorough check and diagnostic of both heating units. After his inspection and tune up of both units he let me know that I had a defective circuit in my attic. He brought me the damaged unit and showed the difference in it and a new unit before replacing it. Overall, it was a great experience. The part was and additional $139 above the $49 inspection, but well worth it.

Description of Work: On 10/12/12 I responded to an Angieslist HVAC special to have my gas furnance serviced by Air Experts & Cooling. They were actually able to fit me into their schedule the very same day. Chris, the service tech, arrived at my house that afternoon and preformed a through cleaning and inspection of my system. I was pleased with his professionalism and knowledge. Upon completing his inspection he told me our system looked really good but informed me that the blower capacitor was reading a little low and would likely need replacing by next spring. I asked him if he could replace the capacitor that day and because he was already there if he could perhaps give us a discount. After speaking with his boss Chris agreed to preform the service at a $10 discount for $99. It only took a couple of minutes to complete but he did show me the price list with various services and related charges so it seemed to be in line. I ended paying approx $150 for the tune-up and the replacement of the blower capacitor. Hal Keyser

Description of Work: I bought the fall heater inspection and maintenance. From the start, Air Experts was professional and easy to work with. They called to let me know the technician was on the way and he arrived a few minutes later. First impressions were excellent. Chris greeted me at the door with his business card and then put on boot covers. This showed respect for me and my home. He did a thorough job and spent much time. He gave me an honest assessment of my furnace and suggestions for the future. Not pressured or pushy, just honest informatiion that was valuable and reassuring. I will return to Air Experts in the future for my heating and A/C service needs.

Description of Work: Air Experts checked & serviced our sons air conditioner. Shane was our service person & was very professional, explained the problem, & did the work required. Very thorough, polite, knowlegeable & presented all the alternatives to correct the problem. We had the unit serviced 2 weeks prior by another company which told us that we needed a dehumidifier and should have someone clean the vents. The problem was the air conditioner!!!I which he had just serviced. My son & I felt that Shane did such a good job & was thorough, honest & knowlegeable that we signed the company up for maintenance service contracts for both of our homes.

Description of Work: After buying the coupon the folks at Air Experts informed us that we lived too far away from Garner for them to perform the service. Angies List refunded our money no problem. I dont fault anyone here - just the way things go sometimes. The Air Expert folks were professional about it.

Description of Work: A/C service man tuned up A/C unit, including adding coolant (I think)...spend a good amount of time doing the work, and cleaned out a place in the unit in which leaves/pine needles had accumulated. He gave me an estimate for some kind of infra-red or ultra-violet device that his company recommends, to kill or prevent fungus or mold from developing...was pretty expensive, I didn't follow-up. He was very professional and seemed to know his stuff.

Description of Work: They did a thorough cleaning and tune up of the system. They were here for 3 hours. On the Angie's list deal I only signed up for one unit not really realizing we had 2 and they gave us the discounted price for the second one as well. Very professional.

Description of Work: I took advantage of the promo $49 per unit for inspecting/cleaning ( I have 2 units on my house). My previous maintenance company was ARS, which I wasn't exactly unhappy with, but felt I needed to try someone else for their opinion and this was the opportunity for it. They were prompt, courteous and thorough. The technician showed me the first unit and how there was a crack in the 'tube' internal to the unit that also had rust. Interesting since these should be stainless steel (manufacturer issue). This would have to be replaced at about $3k, so obviously I opted out. NOTE: ARS had inspected this unit every year for the past 5 years and NEVER pointed this out in any report and having seen it with my own eyes I knew that Air Experts wasn't pulling the wool over my eyes. It really is an issue I have to address at some point, just not right now. The other issue was on the second unit which had a capacitor on its way out. Now, I know these guys are in the business to make a profit, but I know that this piece, purchased on my own would have bee about $75 vs. $150. What can you do?...I knew this because interestingly enough, that same capacitor blew 3 years ago and I had it replaced then for the same amount of money. Obviously these things don't last or ARS installed some foreign made knock off with no durability. Bottom line: I spent more than I expected and discovered issues I probably would have never known about until catastrophe would've struck, so I'm glad they came. I would probably use them again.

Bottom line for us we have a dangerous situation involving carbon monoxide. We are getting estimates and figuring things out from there. Would not hesitate to use Air Experts if our home warranty does not cover the work

Description of Work: Had Air Experts out to inspect the HVAC system on a home that we are under contract to purchase. Brandon was our service technician and provided a very thorough inspection. He spent about 2 hours going through the the two heat pumps and determined how well they were functioning. Once he was finished, he walked my wife and I through everything that he found and answered all of our questions. Very satisfied with the service and feel the $200 we spent was well worth it.

Description of Work: Just moved to NC and joined Angie's list to help us find Dr's, Dentists and any service companies we may need. SelectedAir Experts for our A/C units and were very happy with the service that Chris provided. Chris explained everything that neededto be done - he was very professional and explained everything so we understood. There were no surprises - we expectedthe units hadn't been taken care of by the previous owners. We are up and running and just waiting for another part thatneeds to be replaced. We have signed on for the Maintenance Agreement and look forward to Chris/Air Experts keepingour units up to par.

Description of Work: My orginal post was on August 3rd ($89 Service Call). My new unit was installed on Monday, August 6th. The installers (Emilio and Chuck) were on time, very professional and explained everthing that they did as the job progressed. Upon completion of the installation everything was picked up and removed from my property. In addition to installing the unit, they replaced the thermostat, ductwork and installed a new carbon monoxide detector. Over the last few days, I have been very happy with the new unit and the temperature within my home. I am very happy with the service from Air Experts.
