Description of Work: Any time Air Experts Heating and Cooling has an Angie's List Big Deal, I purchase it. It's a great deal and a great company to work with. I have an 18 year old HVAC system, and they keep it running in tip top shape. Despite my system being so old, they never use any sales tactics or pressure to convince me to replace it (though I know they would recommend it at some point). They cleaned my HVAC system, refilled the coolant needed, and did a check of the system overall. I hire them every spring and fall and have never had bad service.

Description of Work: Arrived on time and was very courteous. Replaced burned out blower fan, cleaned two units. We have been having trouble with cold air cycling through one unit and lowering heat in house 3 or 4 degrees several times a day. Previous technicians brushed this off and told us they had tested heats trips and confirmed they were operating as designed (led us to believe we would have to replace our units soon). The Air Experts technician quickly diagnosed and repaired heat strip wiring problem for price included above. The solution has been great. I will certainly use this company for future work and recommend them to others.

You will see if you read on why we definitely recommend Air Experts. | |An AC/Heating system failure happened as Raleigh was heading into hot weather. This needed immediate attention and of course, as things like this always seem to, this happened right at the end of the week, just before the weekend. Nevertheless, Air Experts sent a representative out on the weekend rather than waiting for the next week. | |He evaluated the existing 15 year old system and we discussed the current problem as well as a couple of other things that were probably going to the next things to fail due to the age and condition of the unit. It was clear that this unit had been patched and repaired about as much as possible without incurring considerable additional expense for an ongoing series of more major repairs. This was really no surprise to us. This was an older unit that we had repaired multiple times over the years, including the coil and other key parts. | |We were pleasantly surprised with the thoroughness of his inspection and feedback. We had a couple of other companies also respond to us (and several who told us to wait until the following week). In comparison to Air Experts their approach seemed rushed, and had a take-it-or-leave-it feel to it. It seemed as though the other companies were making all the decisions and were picking what would work best for them. | |In contrast, Air Experts took a different approach. The representative educated us about the type of unit we had so we could understand the situation and make decisions for ourselves. He provided several alternatives so we could decide what we wanted to invest in - repair or replacement. He offered several replacement choices from top brands and different levels of heating/cooling efficiency, and also a very competitive price. | |We were able to pick one that let us have the same brand for both units in the house, and that had future upgrade options that allowed us to fix the current problem and leave some other spending decisions for later. Even better, they were able to come in the very next day to replace the unit. | |The technicians who came to the house were friendly and seemed to be quite knowledgeable about both the equipment they were installing and also about how the installation could impact the house. There were some decisions to make about the installation, and once again instead of just making the decisions on their own, Air Experts took the time to discuss some alternatives so that we would be happy with the results. The work was done well and the unit was back in service the same day. | |All in all this was a "very cool" experience that saved us from the hot summer weather. Throughout this process Air Experts made it abundantly clear that they valued their reputation and would do everything they good to make us satisfied customers. In other words, they were not just trying to compete on price and a quick sale (although they actually did give us the best price in comparison to several other estimates), they were making a real effort to provide good service and make sure we would want to continue using them for our heating/cooling needs. | |This was a refreshing change from other companies we have used over the past 12 years. Other companies have usually left us with lingering concerns after their work. In contrast Air Experts left us with a confident sense that we had the right unit, installed properly, and at a price that did not leave us wondering if we might have paid too much. Description of Work: I purchased a big deal for $55 for a Seasonal Furnace or Air-Conditioner Tune-Up. I've always been very happy with this company. I had a home owner’s warranty at the time that he came. He actually worked with the warranty company to get the repairs handled.
