Sal (and Jose) provided quality work and outstanding customer service at a very reasonable price. He arrived when he said he would and completed the jobs when promised. I highly recommend him and would not use anyone else for tile work.

Sal was great to work with and made room for us in his business schedule. Also came up with a better design for the tile that we liked and it came out great. On time and on budget.

Everything went great. Sal was always here when he said he would be...and on time. The job was completed on schedule and the results were beautiful. I have a couple of projects in the future for the kitchen and my fireplace and will use Stonecraft for those as well.

We moved into home that has a very large area of tile backsplash with many electrical outlets (8) in a large kitchen. We wanted to keep backsplash and the only person I could find in Charlotte area willing and able to trim the backsplash was Sal at Stonecraft.. He is a master craftsman and was able to perfectly trim the bottom of the backsplash to slip the granite slabs underneath the bottom row of tiles. He caulked the tile/granite and you would never know it was not original. The tiles were cut dry and there was less dust as we initially thought there would be. His son Tony installed the granite countertops perfectly level. Both were punctual, courteous and cleaned up afterwards very well.

They didn't use industry standards and cut the stone inside the house without tenting the room. Ever since I’ve had the granite installed, I have dust in the house that cannot be removed even though I’ve had the ductwork cleaned twice. The installer had a surly attitude and left a solvent on the backsplash. He told me that I could clean it myself. He also punctured some places on the wall without fixing it. I was disappointed. To this day, if I wipe my tabletops clean with a damp cloth, the next day there’s more dust. I’m sure it’s not healthy to breathe those particles. However, the countertops are beautiful, but the fact that the didn't abide by industry standards has resulted in dust particles in the house. This tainted the whole experience.

Sal was wonderful to deal with. He responded promptly to my inquiry, answered all my questions, and showed up when he said he would. My tile installation was challenging--1x2 beveled subway tile requiring cutouts around 8 electrical plates/switches. Sal handled it like the professional he is---cutting each little tile individually to make the surface seamless. He did a beautiful job. The end result reminds me of a Victorian kitchen, and I love it. I would not hesitate to recommend Sal to anyone needing tile installed. I will definitely call on him again if the need arises. We wanted to hire someone that had installed marble before and had good reviews. While going through reviews on Angie's List we came across Sal. After contacting him we scheduled a time to have him come out an give us an estimate. His price was inline or lower than other estimates we received, so it seemed fair for marble. He worked hard throughout the job and even worked while getting over a cold and on New Year's Day. He put down drop clothes, swept and cleaned up after himself. We had both floors done in our guest baths, tub surround in one bath and shower and shower pan in the other bath. Unfortunately, after the grout dried in one of the baths we contacted Sal after paying him to tell him that there was white mortar showing through the grout where it wasn't as thick here and there. We were disappointed after paying $4,400 that he said it would be $150 more for him to come back out and correct it by putting more grout on top of the other grout. So unfortunately the tile floor doesn't look very good due to the grout issue since it's tan with white mortar showing through here and there since it's grouted too shallow... We felt that the issue should have been corrected for free considering.. We also had to pay $100 to have the scrap pieces of marble taken away by another company after seeing it in the garage after they already left, which we thought they would be taking it with them like other tile contractors we've hired.

Calling Sal was by far one of the best decisions we have made as newly home owners. After getting several estimates from ?Contractors? and seeing the elevated prices for our guest bath remodel we decided to contact specialists separately. After reviewing past reviews we decided to give him a call. He came out the same day and provided a fair estimated for the demolition and installation of shower wall tile and floor tile for the bathroom and laundry room. We scheduled a day for the job and walked us through on how to get all of the materials. He came out and performed an amazing job. We are so happy by the look and craftsmanship and could not have seen it any better! I think it would be foolish to not call him and hire him for any tile work? We are definitely having him over for our master bath remodel? based on his estimate we will be saving THOUSANDS over other estimates.

Sal is truly a craftsman! On time and completed the job on time. Total satisfaction and he left our kitchen spotless! HIGHLY recommend Sal and his coworker...

There were a few communication hiccups (I thought contractor would order tile, but I was supposed to so installation date got bumped back a week or so while waiting for tile to come in), but the job got done and it was beautiful.

We are very happy with the granite countertops that StoneArt (StoneCraft) installed in our kitchen. Mark Anthony (Owner) was very helpful and professional throughout the whole process. He worked with us to pick out the perfect granite slap and edge. He was always on-time and was proactive in contacting us. From start to finish we had a truly great experience.

Easy to talk with. Knows his craft. Clean. Brings his own tools. Makes suggestions if he has a good idea. He is cost conscience.

This is the 4th time we've used Sal! We have always had excellent results with him, and this is no exception. He works hard and consistently gives us what we want. We purchased and transported the tile to our house independently. Sal brought everything else. There are several challenges with installing tile onto a screened porch subflooring, but Sal managed it without any problems. We had originally wanted a larger tile 24x24, but Sal recommended we go no bigger than 18x18. It looks great. We really like it. Thanks, Sal!

We contacted 3 different Angie's list providers in late April, early May time frame to give an estimate for installing a stone/glass backsplash in our kitchen. Two, including Sal Aguilera of Stonecraft, came to our home, took measurements and provided quotes. One, Glorified Flooring, simply provided a quote over the phone. Based on the estimate and his professionalism, we selected Stonecraft to do the job. We agreed to provide the material and Sal agreed to provide the labor. The job was initially to begin the last week of May. But, because of an ordering issue, we received the wrong tile from our supplier. When I contacted Sal the day before the work was to begin, he wasn't too pleased, but he was understanding. We agreed to postpone the work until early July. Sal and his partner arrived at around 8:30 AM on July 7 and immediately began work. The backsplash went up quickly and they cleaned up and were gone before noon. The next day Sal returned and did the grouting and caulking. We are very pleased with the final product and would definitely recommend him to anyone needing that type of work.

Sal is a top-of-the-line artisan and a gracious human being. His pre-work estimate/consultation was thoughtful and precise. He found an uneven and broken tiled kitchen floor because of a previous installers failure to evaluate and prepare the existing sub-floor. Sal efficiently corrected the sub-floor faults and moved on to apply his superior skill. Sal's second visit for back-splash installation was also a 100% positive experience. His high quality work was punctually accomplished at a fair price. Sal would be my first call for any similar work.

I contacted Sal Aguilera of Stonecraft after reading rave reviews about his work on Angie's List. I told him that I was interested in installing kitchen backsplash. He came to my house that same day to consult with me and I showed him photo's of my neighbor's backsplash which was similar to what I wanted. He said it would be no problem to do that work in my kitchen and he gave me a card for Daltile with a contact name to select the tiles I wanted. Sal said if I use his contact, there would be a 20% discount on the tile. I scheduled an appointment at Daltile and met with his contact there. She was very helpful to me with the selection of 4"x4" travertine tile, 2"x2" decorative glass emblems, pencil, grout and caulking. She sketched the design that I wanted for Sal to follow. I came home with a few samples of the tile, pencil and glass emblems along with the sketch and made an appointment to see Sal in my home again the next day. Once he saw everything, he was able to determine how much material I needed and I went back to Daltile with the information. The contact at Daltile said that the tile was in stock but they would have to order the glass emblems, which might take some time. I was in no hurry because we were scheduled to go away for two weeks and Sal was busy as well. Sal contacted me about 2 weeks after I returned from my trip to let me know that the order was in and he was ready to do the job. He came early in the morning on the scheduled day along with another worker and they worked diligently all afternoon until all the tile was up. Sal came back alone the next morning to caulk, grout & seal the tile. He cleaned up everything and left the house in good order. The backsplash came out beautiful. I would recommend Sal Aguilera & Stonecraft to anyone and would definitely use him again for tile work. He is professional, courteous and easy to work with. The tile cost $551 (with the 20% discount) and Sal charged $1,000.00 for labor. I believe the prices were very fair.

The company we used for our granite countertops used Stonecraft since their business focused on granite countertops only. This was a great choice by both the granite business & us. The owner of Stonecraft came to our house prior to the project to check all measurements. He scheduled our job the next morning after our countertops were installed. He does a great job giving lots of attention to detail. He did an outstanding job going around the window seal above the sink. He cut tiles precisely to fit & then added a sealer that we requested. However, before he added the sealer he made sure we knew it would darken our tiles. This was what we wanted. He made sure everything was clean before he left. Very nice & knowledgeable about tile work. We are very pleased

Sal called me the day after I sent a request for service e-mail through Angie's list and then came out a day later to give me a written estimate for the cost of the installation of a kitchen backsplash. His estimate also included the amount of tile and trim that would be needed for the job. He gave me the card of the tile showroom he recommended and the name of a specific contact person there. I went to the showroom and got great help from his contact and came home with five different possibilities that I had selected. Once I picked the tile I wanted, I called back to the showroom and they knew how much to order (along with grout and caulking) because it was specified in Sal's estimate to me. The next week Sal came and installed the tile. He was very professional and careful in his work. I think the job looks great and it is one of the most effective home improvements I've ever made.

Sal was great. Did amazing work at a very fair price. i would recommend him to anyone.

He arrived exactly on time and worked hard all day for two days. He left the work site very clean and everything was done to perfection. His work is flawless. I highly recommend him. He is also very friendly and courteous.
