STONECRAFT

I discovered Stonecraft on Angies List by the special they were running, but it specified ceramic tile so I called and spoke with Sal about my tile which is glass. He said he would install it for the same price as his special as long as it was under 40 sq. Ft. Sal arrived on time and we confirmed the price once he saw the tiles and the area. We had to wait on his worker Juan but I was ok he was a little behind . When he arrived Sal described the work Juan needed to perform and then Sal left. Juan was a very nice gentleman. He began about 8:30 and worked throughout the day. My wife and I were getting lunch so I told her to bring Juan some lunch also. When Juan was finished looking at the job from the front it appeared correct. So I paid Juan and he left. Then I was standing at my refrigerator and I noticed the tile was curved so I got out my Level and saw it was not installed correctly. I reached out to Sal but he tried to blame it on the tile but it was not the tile. It was the installer. I tried to reach out to Sal but he would only say it looked fine "considering " when I sent him the pictures. He also said he only made 400 dollars on the job. In my opinion any job whether he made 400 or 4000 should be done with quality. That is why we use Angies List to find quality contractors who stand by their work. "SAL YOU FAILED". I was even ready to pay more to have it fixed. Dont use this Company.

Sal and his group did a wonderful job tiling my bathroom. They were quick and efficient while providing high quality work. They also cleaned up so I could not even tell they had been there!

Sal came out quickly to do the estimate which I accepted. He was personable and professional. I tried to book two weeks ahead as we were under time restraints. He said he didn't book more than a week ahead and assured me that I could call the next week and reserve the time I needed. When I did so he wasn't able to accommodate me because he had gotten busier and her was not willing to make good on his promise. I did not use him.

Backsplash is beautiful. Sal came out and did a wonderful job. I had a 4" granite backsplash which Lowes said couldn't be removed. He cleanly and easily separated the granite from the walls and cabinets. Any additional tile work I need I will call Sal.

I had a couple of issues with this provider. The first email I received from him was unclear and very strange. He showed up after we'd emailed back and forth. I had already gone to the store and purchased the caulk as it was not included in the deal. When he showed up he said he couldn't use the caulk I'd bought, even though it was what was recommended by the employee in the store for showers. Then he took one quick look at my shower and said he couldn't caulk it, the shower would have to be redone and left. I have two tiles that were loose, but I wasn't asking him to grout them to redo the caulking.

He came out, took his time to do the job correctly and asked any questions he needed to know as well as gave his opinions on how to make things look great. The job was great!!!

Stonecraft did an excellent job installing my kitchen backsplash. The crew was very professional, and exceeded my expectations of quality. I would recommend them to anyone!

I hired Sal and his folks to remove existing tile and install new ceramic tile that I picked out for both baths. As usual, Sal did a great job, performing the installation with great detail exceeding my expectations, and did both baths ahead of schedule. I also should add that the tile I selected from Home Depot turned out to be seconds from a major tile mfg ( good info I wish I had received from Home Depot) however; Sal was able to perform a great job as usual. Only issues involved the re-installation of the stacked combo washer and dryer in a connecting offset. The water lines to the washer were left closed and the dryer lent line was not connected, requiring me to move both units and fix both items. Not a real big deal, just items overlooked by Stonecraft. Overall, excellent work and a really good company to work with.

Sal did extensive work in my kitchen and bathroom and did a terrific job! Would definitely use him again.

Work was done very well, the grout used dried darker then the tiles.

After a small miscommunication, Sal and Marie finished a fantastic job in our master shower. When discussing another project, I was given an honest assessment of the outcome. Sal said he would not guarantee the work because it (the problem) could happen again. Most contractors would just do the job and charge me anyway. I will definitely use them again!!!

I bought an Angie's List deal. He and his assistant were professional and courteous and did a great job. I did not understand that I needed to have the caulk for him, but he had samples and told me exactly what to get at Home Depot. The work took about 2 hours.

Sal does great work. He went above and beyond for me by going to the Lowe's for me to buy the caulk. The finished product looks awesome.

Sal was very responsive, on time, and did great work. Prices were very reasonable.

I requested a quote to install a kitchen back splash. Someone responded to my email the same day. I called them the next day. He immediately told me that they were working 4-5 weeks out. I told him that I would rather not wait that long, but I could and would he give me a quote. He said it is usually $400 and I provide the tile. He gave that quote without seeing my kitchen. It was very clear that he did not want to be bothered. I will call someone else that would like to quote the

Sal was great to work with throughout the entire project, the workmanship was top notch, and all the materials were purchased with his discounts directly with no markup. I spoke with many companies about doing the work, but all of them quoted the work $8,000 more than Stonecraft. One company would only quote over the phone w/out a visit. After reading previous reviews about Sal, and meeting with him in person, I felt very good about what he could do, and knew the choice would be a good one. I have a condo which has two bathrooms that require updating and I would not utilize anyone other than Stonecraft for the work.

Sal came on a Sunday to give us a detailed estimate for a new custom backsplash in our kitchen. We selected him based on his price and professionalism. We contacted him a couple of times before the installation with various questions, and he always returned our calls quickly. The whole installation went very smoothly. He came on the scheduled day and time. It took him and his assistant a whole day to put the tiles, the chair rails and the mosaic in place and he came back the following day for the grout and caulking. He cleaned up very well after each visit. Sal is very thorough and we are extremely happy with the quality of his work. We will definitely hire him again.

Emailed Sal requesting a quote and he responded the same night. Sal came out on a Sunday afternoon to measure and provided us with a quote to remove the old flooring and install the new tile prior to leaving. Sal said the job would take four days and the job was completed in four days. We are so pleased with the work that was done! I would highly recommend Stonecraft for your tile work and we will use him again for our next project!

This is our second time using Sal. He installed a tile floor in our previous house that we loved so we called him back and scheduled him without even looking for another estimate. It should be understood that Sal doesn't just do tile, he remodels bathrooms and kitchens. This became important for our job as it turned out. We originally had asked Sal to come do a small job of removing 2 rows of tiles in our master bathroom shower and replacing them with decorative glass tile. However, the job soon became much bigger when he removed the tiles and found that the incorrect backerboard had been installed by the builder and that there was beginning to be some moisture damage in the walls. At that point, the job basically turned into a much bigger bathroom remodel as we needed to tear out all of the shower tile + wall and then also the adjoining jetted tub area tile, so that it would match the new tile. Sal removed all of the old tile and backerboard/drywall behind it down to the wood studs. We also decided to upgrade from a fiberglass pan on the shower floor to a tile floor since we were already ripping everything out, so Sal removed that too. Sal replaced all of the old backerboard with the correct cement-board and waterproofed it with a product called Hydro-Ban at my request. He also installed a new shower drain and fabricated a new sloped mud floor. Once all that was done he retiled everything and added in some great new features like a wall niche in the shower and even replaced my old, ugly, plastic access doors on the front of our tub area, with new tile access doors that you would never know are there unless you saw them installed. I would never use anyone else for this kind of work at this point. I highly recommend Stonecraft and we will very likely use them again for more work in the future.

His prices were not the cheapest, but also not the highest. I thought very reasonable. His workmanship is flawless. He and his helper cleaned up nicely after they were finished. We had some communication challenges which became comical. Email or speak in person. It's much easier to communicate. He provided everything in writing. I misunderstood who was ordering and picking up the tile. Get clear on that before scheduling the work. I liked that he stuck with the job until it was finished and didn't wander off to other jobs going on simultaneously like so many contractors tend to do. Again, his work is really good. When there were questions about the direction the tile should be laid, or anything related to the overall look, I relied on him to make recommendations. He has a good eye for getting the best design.

I found Stonecraft via Angie's List. Sal, the owner, was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. The sunroom was 12' x 19' and carpeted. Sal and his assistant removed the existing carpet & hauled it away. Then prepped the floor for the tiles. Installed the tiles and grouted. The project took 4 days to complete. VERY pleased with the results. Note: the cost included the tiles which were obtained through Daltiles.

Sal is well organized. He was very prompt responding to our query, and visited for an estimate the next day. He showed up on time, right when he said he would. The work was executed professionally and the backsplash looks great. We are very pleased. He cleaned up and left our kitchen in excellent shape. I highly recommend Sal for tile work.
