Description of Work: Very professional and instructive. Offered to take objects to sell in her store, especially my ski boots! Haven't used her more completely yet, but will when we get into the move stage. Also offers service in the Hilton Head area which is great for us.

Description of Work: She worked with me to reorganize a disastrously messy and unorganized "craft and sewing" room. Renee worked hard and at the end of three hours I was amazed at the progress we had made. When we were finished SHE took out the trash, and took the recycling and donation with her - a huge help!

I was thrilled with the outcome. Sheila went right to work on arrival and was very easy to work with. She was not pushy but definitely supported me in making decisions that would "thin out" the clothing in my closet. We made some decisions as to organization (where to put certain things, how to store my handbags, organizing clothing by type and color)--- and it has ALL made a tremendous difference. It's a joy to enter my closet now--- and I think it will be easy to maintain. I can't wait to use Fresh Start again for a future project--- very grateful for their help! It was really a terrific value...
Description of Work: I engaged Fresh Start to help me with organization in my laundry room and master bedroom closet-- which were both in an overwhelming state of disarray. After the consultation with Adele, I realized that my laundry room was actually an easy fix with a change in set up and products. I was able to make those changes prior to the actual service date with a bit of effort -- which allowed me to focus fully on the closet on the actual service date. I felt like a got an easy two for one!

Description of Work: Adele came for 1 hour the week prior to our actual organizing session to do a walk-through and get a sense of what I wanted to accomplish. She gave me great advice about how to stage my home in preparation for showing and selling it (her prior experience as a realtor and stager were exceptionally helpful). One week later, Adele returned and we worked for over 4 hours to purge and organize one room. It is now show-ready!

Great experiece from start to finish.

Description of Work: SERVICE-ORGANIZING CLOSETS. WOW!! Adele Mahan of freshstarttransitions.com came to my home in May 2012, at my request, to straighten and organize my oversized, walk-in closet. I expected an ordinary clean up service of primarily shuffling items around and discarding unused and out of date clothing. But what I got was MUCH, MUCH MORE. First, Adele totally cleaned out the entire closet, piling items in different categories; 1. Keepers, 2. Decide Later, 3. Throw Aways (to charities), 4. Offers to friends and family. She let me make the decisions throughout the entire process. Then she put the closet back together, organizing all items with "like items". Then, she hung transparent shoe bags with all my scarves sorted into seperate slots so I could see them and match them to outfits. Next, she provided plastic boxes for my jewelry, all individually labeled - Gold, Silver, Pearls, etc.. And finally, but not lastly, she gathered all the leftover clothes, shoes, etc., packed them in boxes and personally delivered them to "Goodwill", decide laters to the attic, and just left over junk to garbage disposals. When she left, my closet was immaculate, carpet had been vacuumed and the surrounding room was spotless. All this for only $500 and a cheerful attitude that made the whole project actually "fun" for me. AMAZING.

Adele Mahan gave us lots of options in helping with the move. We decided since we already had a mover who was going to do the packing the area we needed the most help in was unpacking a putting things away once they were in the new house. She sent a team of 4 fabulous people that worked for 5 hours straight. They were so pleasant to work with and did a great job of getting the house in order. It was a very stressful day for my parents that they were really the calm in the middle of the storm. I can't say enough nice things about them! I would highly recommend Fresh Start Transitions to anyone that has older parents that are downsizing and need some extra help with downsizing, packing or unpacking. I would even use this service myself just to get the house back in order quicker after a move. They are very reasonably priced and flexible in working with you.
Description of Work: My parents were downsizing from a large house to retirement community and needed help with unpacking and putting everything away once the movers brought it to the new house. My parents are in the their late 70's and early 80's and could not manage all the unpacking that had to be done. This service was a real blessing!
