It went great. A pillow got stuck in the washing machine and the machine stopped draining. James came in and fixed it in about 15 minuets. He also took a look at my dishwasher and gave me advice on whether to repair or replace it. Washing machine has not had any problems since. The only thing I had an issue with was the billing after the fact. It took 10 days for the payment to post and that was odd to me.
Description of Work: Unclogged the washing machine.

The provider was very quick to return my phone call and was able to come out to look at my freezer the same day I called which was great! They were able to tell me what thy believed the problem is after their second trip to the house. The first time it was looked at We were asked to clean out the frost (the reason we needed the freezer fixed) so they could come back and see what happens.I was disappointed that I was never told that there is a $50 trip fee just to come out to diagnose the problem. The website says free estimates by phone and when I asked all I was told was that it shouldn't be too expensive. Then once he was here, I was told it would be $300 to fix. I don't think that phone estimates can be reliable and I wish they told me about the trip fee ahead of time. However We will still use this company to finish the fix and the providers are very nice and professional.

ays later, tenant calls me and says the ice maker is not working again, I called the office and they have James call me and Called the phone provided on Angie's list and call went to voice mail. did not leave a message thinking to call back in a few minutes. Did not have to again because they call me back withing 2 or 3 minutes, using the callerID info. Spoke with a very pleasant "dispatcher" that inofrmed me that James will be available to in the morning (I called close to 5:00 PM) Since the fridge was colling fine, just not making ice, it was not urgent. Asked that James called me because I was calling to have the fridge serviced in a rental house I own and I did not want to have to go to meet him there. That was not a problem and James called me in the morning as requested. He callled the tenant and coordinated the best time for him to stop by. We went and diagnosed the issue: the ice maker needed to be replaced with a new one. Understandable, since the unit was purchased in 1998, He gave me the quote ($234 parts and labor) which I approved and was even able to put it on my credit card which I gave him over the phone. About 10 days latter, tenant calls me and says the ice maker is not making any ice again. Called the office and they have James call me to confirm he was headed to the house. I spoke with the tenant the following day and was told the ice maker was once again working fine. Not sure what the issue was but it was a fast fix. There was no charge for the second visit and I am happy with the service; fast and convenient and reasonably priced.

When we first called, the repairman was on vacation, and we were told that, but he quickly got in contact with us and set up an appointment upon his return. He came out to the house as scheduled. Could not find a problem with the dishwasher during his visit- ran it a few times. It had leaked before we called, but oddly enough has not leaked since. He recommended that if dishwasher leaks, to run it at least twice before calling repairman out. Was good to know for future reference. He did charge for the service call, but found that reasonable to compensate him for his time and gas money. Will definitely call if ever have another appliance problem.

The service provider came out twice and was very courteous. The dishwasher needed a new valve. There was not enough water being released so this impacted detergent compartment and the water was not hot enough to dissolve the detergent. We were to run the hot water to the sink prior to starting the dishwasher. The second part of the solution was that the valve was replaced and tested on an empty dishwasher and it worked. The problem is that I need it to work on a full dishwasher. The part for the stove was going to be on back order so I decided to call the manufacturer directly and have them repair my stove. The second time the vendor came out, he determined that there was no problem. I called him and told him that the initial problem still existed and that I did not want to pay for something that was not fixed based on the original problem. He suggested that he would like to come when I was available and not someone else. I was to call him when I was available, I have not called him back. After coming out twice for the same problem, I have chosen not to waste anymore time with it. I come to the conclusion that I am out of $189. It shouldn't matter if I am the one speaking to the gentleman or not. The dishwasher should dispense all the soak and that's what I wanted. We have followed his instructions about running the water to make it hot before running the dishwasher. He also said that the detergent was to old and it was clumping, etc.
Description of Work: Call the service provider out to fix dishwasher and the stove. The problem with the dishwasher was that the detergent compartment would not consistently open and all the detergent would not dissolve. The stove had a burner that would not light.

This company was great!! I called to ask if they could install a timer for my dryer and switch for washing machine. I already had the parts and they did not have a problem with that. The repairman showed up on time and completed the services. The estimate was right on and there were no additional charges.

It went fine. Unfortunately, there wasn't a lot he could do since the problem was from some metal being bent. He bent it back in shape. I have a little squeaking every now and then, but nothing like it was before. I have a feeling this washer might have been a bad design.

I am so impressed with this company!! My husband filled out the online quote request at around 9:45AM. We received a call before 10AM, and James let us know that he was going to be in the area in about a half hour. He arrived around 10:30, as he said he would, and I was doing laundry again well before lunchtime! And James is such a nice guy! Like I said, I am so impressed with them, I will never use anyone else, and I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone who needs repairs on any appliances!
Description of Work: Our Maytag washer just went out of warranty and not long after we received notice of this, it stopped running through the spin cycle, so our clothes were left sopping wet at the end of each cycle. James replaced the bad part in our washer and it worked.

They never reponded to my email through the Angie's List site but when I called, promptly answered, made my appt and James showed up at the assigned time (just a few min late) and was incredibly professional, sweet and had a very pleasant, likeable demeanor. He methodically assessed and fixed my dishwasher but admitted he was not that familiar with GE monogram refrigerators. I was disappointed that this wasn't explained to me on the front end. He took out the ice dispenser and melted the ice off of in the sink (something I had done myself but it reaccumulated), told me the auger mechanism wasn't turning (which I figured out and was why I called to begin with) and by holding in the dispenser for a solid couple minutes, found it started turning. He didn't actually do or fix anything and admitted he wasn't really confident that it was working "let's just keep an eye on it and let me know if you have continued trouble." Right after he left, I tried to dispense ice and it wasn't working. I called the office and left a message but never heard back. I called the next day and left a message as well as email and didn't hear back. I called a couple days later and was told that James would call me back. He didn't. I called again to remind them and James did call me back, told me he'd look into it and call me back. He didn't. I called a few days later and was told he was on vacation but they could get his sub to call me back. I asked if he was more familiar with GE monogram and the office clerk didn't know and said she didn't know James was not familiar with GE monogram. His sub called me and said he had gotten in touch with James on vacation who said he found out it was a recall issue and apologized for forgetting to call me back. I'm not sure how he determined that it was a recall issue in that he never obtained the model or serial # from me. When I then called GE with this information, they said there were no recalls on this ice maker. I called the office back to ask for a refund (to cover the part of the service that wasn't performed) and she said she needed to ask her supervisor and call me back the next morning. They didn't. I left a message and am waiting for a response. PHEW! I must say that when I contacted Angie's List, they WERE OVER THE TOP helpful! They said that they'd help me with the refund if needed and meanwhile literally called every appliance place in the Charlotte area to see who was familiar with GE monogram - they gave me the best name and I am confident this will be the ticket (we'll see, I just left a message!). Bottom line, this company needed to be upfront that they were not familiar with GE monogram as this would have saved my time and money. They also need to improve their responsiveness. They obviously have tons of great reviews so must have many strengths, but that was not my experience despite what I think was my extreme patience with them!
Description of Work: I contacted this merchant to see if they would be able to fix my kitchen aid dishwasher as well as GE monogram refrigerator ice maker. I specifically was looking to find a repairman who could address both as I thought they were minor issues that could easily be addressed in one visit to save some money. In the end, they fixed my dishwasher but were not able to repair my ice maker.

When I phoned and explained that our salon needed the dryer ASAP, I was told someone could be out that day. When he called to see what was wrong, he told me he had the part on his truck and could fix it that day. When he came out that afternoon he was able to repair the dryer and we were back in business!

.123 Appliance Repair did a great job. They fixed both of the problems with my oven---and they did it in one session. They had the replacement parts on the truck. The repairman was at my house exactly on time. He was polite, efficient and knowledgeable. I thought the price for the repair work was reasonable even before they accepted my Angie's List coupon. What a great company! Of course, I hope I won't have any appliance repair issues in the future--but if I do, I will be sure to call 123 Appliance Repair.
