123 Appliance Repair serviced our 8yr old GE Profile Refrigerator w/Bottom Freezer, resolving an issue we've struggled with for the past 2-3 years. Technician James Smith is excellent. We experienced noisy rattling, the leakage of water and ultimately the freezer self-defrosting. It was a mess. Research indicated a blockage in the drain line however the drain pipe is difficult to access in this model. Rather than risk the breaking of plastic components nearby we elected to call 123 Appliance Repair. I called mid-morning on Wednesday and by the end of the day technician James Smith arrived. James has a pleasant, knowledgable demeanor. He agreed it was wise to call for service, pointing out the difficultly getting to and pulling out that part. Within 15 minutes James had the drain pipe out and cleared the blockage. The refrigerator now runs smoothly and I'm told should be good for another 10 years. Money well spent!

James came the same day that I called. He did exactly what I wanted, which was to drain the water from the machine (wouldn't drain and spin). He also gave me quote for a repair, which was very reasonable, but I had decided to purchase a new set. James was prompt and personable; so was Don who I spoke to first. I would definitely use this company for appliance repair in the future.

I phoned Thursday morning. Don answered right away and took the info. Dean called back in a few minutes and said he'd be out in the afternoon. He diagnosed the problem and said he could get the parts and install on Friday. He returned promptly Friday and did the work. He cleaned up and made sure the dw was running correctly before leaving. The experience was as pleasant as it could be, and the cost was reasonable.

The technician arrived within the window of time. Looked at the fridge and did his thing. He told me it was the compressor, which would cost $800 if he did it. He said it was under warranty, so to call Sears and have them replace it. He charged me $50 for this "assessment." When Sears came out, they found out it was not the compressor, but a leak in the freon. Thanks for stealing my $50 and my time.

Diagnosed faulty valve on ice maker and replaced. Cost was greater than I'd hoped but the part was $145 and with 1 hour of labor at $60 and $50 trip charge I believe total charge was fair. He discounted $10, probably for Angie's list member. To reiterate others references, James was very professional and experienced.

Was unable to service Brand. He said that Angie list would have to refund my purchase.

Employee diagnosed the problem, went and picked up the part and returned to make the repair in the same day. Fixed it correctly and promptly the first time. Very professional, clean, and polite.

Outstanding service! I called and received same day service. Technician arrived during the ETA window I was given, James was very polite, professional and repaired my Kenmore dryer within an hour of arrival. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend 123 Appliance Repair.

I thought I needed a motor replaced in my garbage disposal, but it turns out it was just a nail stuck in the disposal. James was very professional, friendly and trustworthy. A dishonest person could've easily sold me a new motor. I actually remembered James from a stove repair a few years ago. Really great, professional and efficient then too. You call their main # and then the receptionist reaches out to one of their service reps who does their own scheduling. The receptionist was super friendly and helpful as well. I will definitely call 123 Appliance again and request James!

James was professional, friendly, courteous and above all, knowledgeable. He offered his counsel when asked, and we so appreciated it. He cleaned the area behind the refrigerator (which was quite dusty!) He was a pleasure to work with and I will not hesitate to use this company again. Thank you, 123 Appliance.

Originally, when I described the problem to James over the phone, he thought we had a bad pump in our Kenmore washer that was causing the water to leak onto the floor. When he examined the machine, he discovered that the washing machine wasn't leaking at all! The problem was that our drain line was backing up and resulting in water on the floor. So, we didn't need a pump after all and only had to pay him their minimal service call fee.

James came out and diagnosed the problem and provided a solution. He ordered the part and returned to complete the job. My dryer is still working and my husband and I are pleased with his work.

.I bought the DEAL because my refrigerator was making odd noises. The noises stopped, then restarted. 123 Appliance Repair said the noise needed to be heard upon their visit. The noises were so intermittent that it became useless to reschedule the service call. I am out $25 for a service that never was and may never be able to be used. This is not a negative reflection on 123 Appliance Repair. I am soured on this Angie's List "Deal" that has left me out $25.00.

Murphy visited us on New Years Eve! What began as a warming refrigerator deteriorated into a freezer melt down in our side by side. Timing is everything, have you ever tried to get EMERGENCY repair work done the day before a holiday? Everyone I checked with was scheduled out three or four days AFTER New Years Day. I read the glowing reviews of 123 Appliance Repair on Angie's List and decided to give them a call. The answering service said that James the scheduler would call me shortly. Within 15 minutes I had received a call from James and he assured me that they would "work me in" TODAY between 1 and 5. Around 1:15 Ronald our serviceman called and said he was within 20 minutes. Upon arrival he quickly checked the symptoms of our dying side by side which I suspected had an issue with the defrost cycle. Ronald agreed and pinpointed the defrost heater as being burned out. As there are a couple other problematic parts in the defrost cycle that tend to age out 123 Appliance Repair suggests that a Defrost Kit be installed to "renew" the appliance. Parts totaled $126. Trip Charge and Labor totaled $110. 1 Year Parts Warranty with a 90 Day Trip and Labor charge Warranty. 123 Appliance Repair is now on my speed dial and our latest Refrigerator Magnet! Happy New Year and thanks for a job well done!!! .

We had a display issue with our Whirlpool Gas stove. Certain items in the display were not functioning properly. The technician explained the problem and told us how to fix it ourselves!

We weren't to happy with them. They fixed one issue but, they didn't fix everything. We called them back and they said that they couldn't do anything else. My husband ended up fixing it. When they were here, they told me to call them. I noticed the problem again on a Saturday, I just wanted to call them and have them come out the next week. They seemed a little upset and told me that they couldn't fix it period. The first time, they said that they could fix it, and the next time they couldn't. The guy said that it was stay fixed and it did break. We were disappointed that they didn't come back and fix it. I don't think we would use them again. We wouldn't use them again. The part was all right. They were responsive the first time. The first time they were all right.

He explained everything, didn't make a mess and was very professional. Very reasonable price. He was very prompt. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

I panicked when the oven shut down, especially since it was locked (due to self-cleaning state). 123 was very communicative, despite the fact that I left a message after hours. I got a call back within half an hour, and they were very accommodating in setting up the appointment. The technician was very good, and more importantly, honest. When I asked him about another repair he recommended I hold off given that it was essentially cosmetic, and probably not worth the cost of repair. I was very satisfied, and will use them again. I have recommended them to many friends.

I have used James at 123 Appliance repair in the past a few times for some rental properties I have and every time James is punctual, respectful, polite and all around a pleasure. In the past he fixed a dishwasher for me. He was very knowldegable and was very fair and straight forward with his pricing. This time, I thought I had a big problem with a garbage disposal but when I called James to set up an appointment he asked me to try a couple of things while I was on the phone with him. Within just a few minutes, I was able to fix the problem with James' coaching. I offered to compensate him for his time but would not accept. James is the true definition of a man with integrity and its obvious he values customer service above all else. I will use James for all my appliance repair needs and highly recommend him to anyone that needs service. I only wish I could find more people like him!

The technician I met with was James Smith and I can?t say enough good things about his work ethic, competence, preparation, professionalism, and friendly demeanor. He stayed from 7:30-9:30 PM working diligently to fix my ice maker and ice dispenser on a Whirlpool refrigerator. He brought every part he needed (even though he didn?t know exactly which parts he?d need ahead of time ? he was very prepared) so that the entire job was completed in the first and only visit. He was also one of the most pleasant and respectful repairmen I?ve ever worked with. I would highly recommend 123 Appliance Repair and specifically James Smith for your repair work.
