Chris (owner) uses multi-craft people. They may specialize in one craft but they do more. For example the laminate floor installers were carpenters but didn't seem to have much experience in laminate installations. The tiles installers were skilled at tile installation but they also did plumbing, carpentry, and other things. The result was some work being done skillfully and some not so skillfully. My home renovation took much longer than planned but it was due to delays getting our bathroom cabinets from Home Specialty Lumber and Building Supply in Waynesville. Taking months to get the cabinets caused havoc with our renovation schedule and the schedule of CT Enterprises. Although we weren't impressed with some of the work done we were happy with Chris' flexibility in scheduling around our cabinet delays and other delays caused by our schedules. All of the workers were friendly, honest and usually did a fair job of cleaning up. Removed: - kitchen cabinets - kitchen counter tops - kitchen sink - dishwasher - built in oven - cook top - cabinets, counter tops, sinks and toilets from three bathrooms - tile floors and baseboards from three bathrooms - laminate floor from dining/kitchen area - laundry shoot from closet Installed: - laminate and trim in dining/kitchen room - C - baseboards in three bathrooms, and stained - C - cook top (electrical hookup) - A - two electrical outlets - A - tile in three bathrooms - B - baseboards in three bathrooms, and stained - C - cabinets in three bathrooms - B - sinks and toilets in three bathrooms - B Re-plumbed two sinks and vents in one bathroom - C Filled hole through exterior wall (log) where vent pipe had been - F Re-textured drywall - B

He is Excellent! He is so busy that it is difficult to talk with him unless one does it while he is working. However, it is what it is, and all worked out beautifully.

Chris the owner was great high energy responsive knowledgable and good to work with. His work and his his father and employees were excellent at their jobs. The work was high quality and I am extremely pleased with the final result. The only down side was that I had to select and buy everything on my own which was hard having never done that before. Chris suggested where to buy all the required supplies tub tile shower glass mirrors faucets granite but it was a lot of work and hard to made the decisions with no past experience or help. I highly recommend C T Enterprises - they do great work

AWFUL -- The house would be a to-the-studs type of renovation. Having been in interior design, I knew well what I wanted and what COULD be achieved. I simply needed to know the costs for the job here in North Carolina, how the process would be set-up and what I could expect as a timeline. I was told I would have a written estimate within five days. Ten (or more) days later I got the estimate. It did NOT contain almost 1/2 of the things which I had listed and which Chris (the owner) had apparently written on his job sheet. Very negative experience. I did hire another company who did all (+) the work I asked for and for about 2/3 of the price that I had been given by CT. Remember that the CT quote was not even complete.

Chris was general contractor overseeing the building of an interior wall unit. The carpenters that he used were craftsmen and built the unit around some existing soffits. The unit was built on site from wood (not MDF or plywood). The carpenters matched trim to the existing style and the finished product looked like it had been present in the room all along. The project was enhanced by the painting. The painters were meticulous and the finished project is just as I imagined.

Although we went with another contractor, Chris was great to work with as we were making our decisions. We could easily have selected him to do this work and feel confident that if we were to do so on a future project, we will be well served.

Chris came up with an acceptable estimate. My wife and I discussed it and we were ready to build it. I called him and told him we needed a proper sketch to present to our association for approval and a contract. We were waiting to hear back from Chris but didn't for over a week until I called him myself. He said he'd contact me the following week. It's been 3 weeks. No Chris. I've soured on this project especially since I liked him personally for his knowledge, and his recommendations and ratings on Angie's list. So my wife and I decided not to build a deck at all. He may not actually have been able to build the connecting catwalk without disturbing the integrity of the foundation, so he should have said that and we would have considered other options. But after having several other people come out to give us estimates and either they were much higher than Chris's (2) or they didn't bother to reply with any (3), we decided not to build and avoid any resulting problems. UPDATE: Chris called me back after seeing my review. He apologized and said he wouldn't purposely drop me as a customer. He mailed me the sketch for the deck and catwalk I requested so I could submit it to my association for approval. We also agreed we would revisit this project next spring. I sincerely like him and hope we can do business.

He was very responsive and he came out the next day to give us an estimate and he came early which was fine with us so far they have done a fairly good job. If they have any body interested in doing a bathroom, kitchen or any upgrade of any kind I am sure they will be more than happy to give an estimate.

We first found out about CT Enterprises on Angie's List and have used this company a number of times, for some minor and some major work (electrical, lighting, sidewalk brickwork, porch drainage modifications, new French Door installation). Every job was done on time, within estimated costs and professionally completed. Chris Tarske, the owner, is a perfectionist and obviously expects his crew to hold that same standard. We had discussed this deck job with Chris three years ago, but decided we just couldn't afford to do it at that time. This year, when we contacted Chris in late May, he recommended some newer, superior materials that were not available in 2011 and helped us make the best choices for this project. Based on Chris' recommendations, the reasoning for each recommendation carefully explained by him, we chose the new top-of-the-line Trex Transend decking. The deck was actually built while we were vacationing in Denver, CO. When we returned from that trip, a new VERY beautifully crafted deck awaited us. We had chosen a new color that had just been made available, "Island Mist", and it was gorgeous! Every aspect of the completed deck exudes quality and a very high standard of craftsmanship and attention to detail. In an age where simply "good enough" work seems to be the norm, CT Enterprises is a welcome, very bright exception.

Last year we decided to redo our deck and porch. We interviewed four contractors including CT Enterprises that we found on Angies List. We were very impressed with the owner, Chris Tarske. He was personable, professional and described in detail ideas for the job. At one point after the deck was completed we were not satisfied with the staining done by the sub-contractor. Chris immediately had the problem corrected and now the deck is gorgeous. Last December while we were visiting our daughter in Maryland, our house was broken into. The perpetrators smashed in the brand new wide patio glass door into the great room. Small particles of glass were splattered all over the great room clear out to the front door and glass was tracked through out the carpeting in the house. With the insurance money we decided to replace the carpeting with wood floors, repaint the interior, tile a bathroom, and make other improvements. Chris was always there when we needed him and his crew was the best. We are very pleased with all the work CT Enterprises did for us and can't wait to show off our house to friends.

We are very pleased with the outcome of the bathroom and bedroom and would hire Chris and his crew again in a minute should we need more work done in the future. We ran a little long on the time of the project (approx 3 weeks longer than anticipated) but part of that was our fault as we ordered tile that was special order and we didn't want to do things backwards so we told Chris it was OK to wait, so we actually were only about 1.5 weeks overdue after that but I believe the quality of the work was the difference and we were VERY pleased with the high quality of the work and the final outcome. We called Chris at the end of the project and provided him with a punch-list and he came right over and reviewed it with us and even ended up adding some additional things that he wanted to correct that we had not noticed. He made sure that his contractors did everything on the list and then some. Chris was VERY responsive at all times. Always answering phone calls, texts and emails and when he promised to do something he did it. His entire crew was professional, clean and very thorough in their work. We could tell from the first day that his crew takes pride in their work and it showed - they also took pride in our home and made sure that every day when they left that things were left clean and put up. We greatly appreciated that. We came in exactly at our budget (we added some things along the way but we both worked to openly communicate about that) and we had a difference of a couple of hundred dollars that was not in the original quote and when we mentioned it to Chris he immediately took it off, no questions asked. His paperwork from quoting, billing and invoicing was very professional. We love our new bathroom and the bedroom paint/new flooring - and we will definitely be using CT Enterprises, Chris and his crew in the future for other projects.

We would not use this contractor again - In our opinion, job took too long, lack of coordination, communication and scheduling. There were several avoidable extra costs along with unnecessary delays. We feel that this contractor did not abide by what was written in his contract - mostly having to do with oversight and communication.

Came out to give me an estimate, which I appreciate. Will be using different installer.

Every aspect of our project was handled exceptionally well. From start to finish we were extremely pleased. Our home is 19 years old and the Master Bath, while functional, was in need of major updating. Chris and his people, without exception, were highly skilled, professional and totally accommodating as we worked through the project. They made every effort to provide us with precisely what we wanted. The communication with Chris was always on a timely basis -------again, always willing to make adjustments as the work was being completed. The finished product exceeded our expectations. The tile work is as attractive as any we've ever seen. The frameless glass shower with 6 water sources is just remarkable. The Labor cost was approx. $10,000 ------ Materials approx. $13,000. A lot of money but we feel we certainly obtained value with our new Master Bath. I would highly recommend CT Enterprises (Chris Tarske) for any home remodeling project that you wish to have done right. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Chris and his crew of professionals.

All the work went smoothly and all the results were great. The only issue was that sometimes the work was delayed because of the weather - can't paint when it rains. But hardly something Chris and his workmen had control over. They always contacted us when they couldn't come because of rain or the threat of rain. Also when installing the new sliding glass door, Chris pointed out that the old door frame had no insulation and installed new insulation, making the door much more energy-efficient. We would recommend his work and the work of the electrician and the painters.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new guest bathroom, Chris and his team are true professionals. Chris arrived for our first appointment when scheduled and went over all the details, showing us some ideas from other renovations he had done. He had our quote ready for us quickly and we agreed on the price, which was very fair and affordable. He worked with us on a few changes that came up as we changed some items and the work moved along on the schedule agreed on and answered all the questions we had during the process. All his workers were polite and clean and left no mess. This bathroom turned out beautiful and we couldn't have done it without C T Enterprises. We will certainly use this company again.

Our master bath had not been updated in 20 years or so. Chris and his team came in and did a wonderful job. They did exactly what they said they would do even in the awful weather we were having at the time. Chris stayed within the estimate he quoted and the project was finished within the time frame. We have been very happy with the new bath!

I have done business with them before. They were great. I have taken out that was adequate. The guy did a fantastic job. His subcontractor did a fantastic job. They were all very prompt and communicative. They consulted me when they wanted to know what aesthetic thing I might prefer. I may have found my overall resource for most things that I need to be done because he does the work and he has great subcontractor.

My renters watched them & informed me that they did an excellent job.

Excellent job, done on time, without any surprise additional costs. Had to work around installed security system. Cost shown includes new door unit and labor.

Chris and his guys were a pleasure to work with. There knowledge of the job was next to none. Their close attention to detail and ability to find solutions to problems was outstanding. We are very happy with the outcome and plan to use Chris again after the first of the year.

Chris and his team were awesome. On time, flexible and took the utmost care to provide an end product which was both functional and beautiful. Chris quickly read what our style was and provided various designs for me to select from and to modify if needed, which I did. I have already recommended him to our neighbors. His price was extremely fair and he uses quality materials. Another quote I received was higher and it included lower quality materials. If you are considering a remodel, you would do well to call CT Enterprises.

All went smooth. I was impressed with how well the drywall, painters and carpenter were scheduled. It appears that they have been working together for quite a while. Everyone was polite, professional and a pleasure to work with. I will be using them again in the future.

Fantastic! The communication and response time was excellent. The service was prompt, professional, and perfectly executed. These guys worked around and within my unpredictable schedule, going out of their way to accommodate me! I am totally pleased with the service I received and would definitely use CT Enterprises again!
