 + -1 moreOur experience with them was fine. It went well enough. I think the deal was for one pound of Freon and they actually ended up providing an extra three pounds. Our air conditioner was broken, leaking Freon, and I ended up having to have it repaired afterwards with another company, but they were very helpful.

 + -1 moreI had purchased the Big Deal Offer. Their service was okay. I did not know that your air conditioner has to be working if a checkup is to be the right service. I did not know that since I did not talk to them first. But they came out and looked at it and honored the $55 deal that I got so I was pretty pleased with that. I paid $ 198 for Freon. They did not do the maintenance, I did not know if that was an exception. I got two different stories from two different people that I talked to at Eco Mechanical Solutions, Inc. so I am not sure if they were giving us a break because they were nice people or if that was the done thing. I was not sure that went and I did not want to advertise that they give you special deal if you don’t know want is going on. If a company has a reputation for giving everybody a special break then it is going to be standard and everybody is going to expect it and that is not a good way for a company to stay in business. I think the $55 went towards his coming out and finding out what was wrong with our air conditioner. Overall it worked great for two weeks and it died. I hope that was due to something else. I think they were a little pricey though I did not do any checking on that.

I also purchased the annual service plan. They must have done a great job since my air is running much more efficiently and the house is nice and cool

 + -1 moreGreat! I bought the Angie's List coupon over the weekend and Monday morning I received a call to schedule the service appointment. They were able to schedule me for the following day as I requested. Prior to the arrival of the technician I received a call that he was on the way. The service tech was JC would did my winter service call. As before he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful offering me information and pointers on how my system worked and how to keep it efficient. He thoroughly inspected and cleaned all parts of the unit. It was terrific news and true peace of mind to learn before the heat of summer that my system was working at peak performance. I would not hesitate to use this company again and refer others. It is wonderful to find a supplier you can trust.

I even had them go and perform the AC Inspection/Tune Up/ Maintenance on my mother's unit to ensure she would have no issues this summer with her AC and James was just as wonderful with her as well. She will be using them in the future for her HVAC business as well.
Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's Deal for AC Inspection/Tune Up/ Maintenance for two AC units. They arrived on time and were very professional. They inspected and cleaned both of my units outside, removing the sides and cleaning the interior of the units. They also waxed the outsides of the units which was surprising to me, and they look brand new now!!! James advised me on the care and covering of the units during the winter to deter debris from building up in the units when not in use. They also reattached an air flow tube for the air handler in my attic which had been disconnected by my children. They cleaned and installed new air filters for both units. After cleaning and inspecting both units and the air handler in my attic, it was determined that my circuit board in my air handler needed to be replaced and the AC fan had been running non stop for several months, which is what burned out the circuit board. James was able to order a new board and came back to install it within a weeks time. They also determined that my thermostat was not working properly and replaced it as well. Now we are able to turn off the AC fan with out issue. I am relieved to say that I have finally found an HVAC company I can trust and look forward to working with them in the early Fall to ensure the heating of my home works without fail. Price breakdown $254.00 AC Inspection/Tune Up/ Maintenancefor two AC units and replacement thermostat $373.00 Replacement of circuit board for air handler Expected energy bill savings - LOTS AND LOTS OF SAVINGS ON MY ELECTRIC BILLS!!!

 + -1 moreThe company returned my call, after-hours, within about ten minutes. They scheduled James (one of the owners) to come out that very evening. James was there within about an hour. James was prompt, professional, friendly, and knowledgable. He isolated the problem, and fixed quickly. He tested the results thoroughly, and in that follow-up testing, there was another problem that required more troubleshooting. Came back within two days, and fixed that as well. Both visits/repairs were completed at a reasonable price. I've never used Eco Mechanical before, but I will certainly use them in the future, and I would highly recommend them.

 + -1 moreFirst rate! From begging to end, a great experience. After having researched various HVAC providers on Angie's List, I decided upon Eco Mechanical Solutions. I purchased their current Angie's List offer for A/C and furnace tune-ups and called to arrange service. I also requested an opinion on whether or not our existing system could handle a sunroom we plan to add. The scheduler said she would send James (20+ years of experience). On the day of service we got a call 20 minutes in advance of an on-time arrival. James (owner) and JT (tech) were pleasant and extemely courteous. James explained that our system lacked the capacity to effectively cool/heat the sunroom, laid out alternatives and recommended a through-the-wall unit as the best option for our needs. Turns out he had positive personal experience with the brand we were considering. James and JT then performed thorough maintenance and provided an explanation of what was done. All was working well in both systems. It was suggested we consider surge protectors for our A/C units given how our house is situated and they left a copy of their annual maintenance agreement for future consideration. There was no pressure to purchase either. All in all, it is clear that this is a business that values customers and is focused on delivering high-quality service. They have definitely earned our future business.

 + -1 moreReally great! I called the company to ask questions about their services and the person I spoke with was very helpful and informative. We discussed the issues I had and she offered me several options. The service call was scheduled for the following day and they agreed to assess my airflow concern. As planned I received an advance call that the technician would arrive in 45 minutes and I was provided the name of the technician. JT arrived on time and evaluated the airflow concern I had and serviced the unit. He was thorough and explained the corrective option on the airflow issue and left me with a quote to perform that service whenever I wanted to. There was no pressure at all to do the work. I really loved every part of the experience. It is nice to deal with such friendly service people who are courteous and freely offer to explain what is happening.

He found that things were running well and would make it through the season. He did suggest a couple things to keep an eye on, but did not push me to spend money unnecessarily - greatly appreciated. He did walk me through their Maintenance Package which turned out to be a good deal. James didn't use a hard sell, just a good deal. It was worth it! James was friendly and professional and explained things in a manner anyone could understand. I look forward to working with these folks for the coming years.

This time though, they sent a young man out who in my opinion didn't seem to know what he was talking about. He said our unit was dirty and needed about $800 in repairs. They were the company that came out before, so it's a little hard to believe some of the things the kid was saying.
