No service preformed.... still waiting.

I still have not heard from him but I am still interested in him doing the work for me.

The bricks and the tiles needed to be replaced. He was very professional and very thorough. He brought a couple of different tiles out and did all the measuring.

Mark obviously takes pride in his business and his work. We were pleased with his knowledge of the project and confidence in being able to accomplish it in our first meeting. We were in somewhat of a time crunch; since he was referred to us by a pool cleaning company and he was rated “A” on Angie’s List, we didn’t hesitate to hire him as soon as he got the quote to us. Mark must have impressed tons of other customers this Spring because from the day we hired him forward, he seemed to us to be too busy to initiate ANY communication with us about our project. While he did answer or return each and every call we placed to him, he did not call us with updates as we waited for weeks and weeks and weeks for the project to finally wrap up on June 16th. He knew we needed the project finished by the end of April because we’d committed to hosting 4 parties and a family reunion at our house in May. When we did call Mark to press him on the status of the supplies and when his crew would be out to work next, they only seemed to show up maybe about 50% of the time when Mark told us they would be here. He never called before coming to do work. We hired him on March 22nd. His crew tore out the existing brick one week after we were told it would happen on April 19th. We assumed new brick was lined up and ready to go in after the old brick came out since he’d had a month to get the new brick. Not the case. The pool surround was brickless for about 6 weeks before work started up again in June (over a month after the agreed upon deadline). Our pool was full of sand for 10 days after the new brick was installed and grouted. He also seemed as though it was not common practice, but rather, an inconvenience, for him to offer samples of the materials he intended to use to complete the project. This was really important to us considering we were repairing an existing pool and needed to coordinate colors to look good with the tiles we weren’t replacing. Although the relationship between Mark and us was strained, to say the least, by the time the project was over, his employees did their best not to show it; we feel they didn’t let the tension compromise their work quality.

I chose them because they were the highest rated. I was gone when they came out so I never even got to meet them. But they did a very good job. I will use them again.

Although the weather slowed the process down a good bit, Mark and his crew did a great job. Mark was very patient with our decision process and gave us some good advice.

Mark was great to work with on this situation. Original pool manufacturer & installer would not come fix the leak caused during installation. Mark gave a fair estimate(not the lowest) and had the best plan of action for avoiding excessive concrete cutting and patching. He had to avoid some stamped concrete which limited his work space. Mark did a great job and left my pool area clean! He did a good job on the concrete patch. I plan on using Mark for any other pool issues that may arise.

Only high praise for Mark and his crew. I was having a terrible time with a new liner installation. My pool guy was who I had hired to do the job, but when the pool liner arrived and it did not fit; after having hired a "liner specialist" for 175.00 to custom measure. My pool guy suddenly was unavailable to help. Only after threatening a law suit did my pool guy bring in Mark. Wow, what a difference expertise makes!! He came out on at least three occasions, (NOT being paid for) and helped to re-install and fit the pool liner. He made a very bad situation better. I only wish I had hired him first. If I ever have any pool issues I will only call Gator Pools. I really appreciate all the time and effort into getting my liner installed and my pool up and running. Thank you Mark for saving summer for my family!

I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT MARK BARBEE AND HIS CREW. THEY WERE THE THIRD POOL COMPANY I'D HAD OUT TO TRY & FIX MY LEAKY VINYL POOL. I HAD HEARD EVERYTHING FROM "YOU NEED A BIGGER PUMP" TO "YOUR POOL IS COLLAPSING, YOU NEED TO COMPLETELY REBUILD IT" (THIS WAS FROM ONE OF THE COMPANIES). THANK GOODNESS FOR GATOR POOLS! MARK CAME OUT VERY PROMPTLY AND IMMEDIATELY DIAGNOSED MY PROBLEMS & HAD REASONABLE SOLUTIONS FOR ALL OF THEM. (WHAT'S UP WITH THOSE "OTHER" GUYS????) HE REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF! ALL WORK WAS DONE IN THE TIME FRAME LAID OUT AND OF THE HIGHEST STANDARDS. THEY EVEN CLEANED UP TO PERFECTION. MARK ALWAYS RETURNED MY PHONE CALLS AND TOOK THE TIME TO ANSWER ANY AND ALL OF MY QUESTIONS. HE WAS A COMPLETE PLEASURE TO WORK WITH AND I WILL DEFINITELY USE HIM AGAIN. AS A MATTER OF FACT I CAN'T IMAGINE CALLING ANYONE ELSE.

Wow! This couldn't have been any better. Mark and his crew were great! They were early, courteous and respectful to me and my wife, and worked hard and efficiently. I had another company out to my house 2 months earlier to try and locate the original leak, and the assistant looked my wife up and down talked to her very disrespectfully. Mark and his crew were professional, well mannered, and personable. They had measured the dimensions perfectly and the liner they installed fit like a glove and went right in quickly. The price I paid for the new 28 MIL liner and water was half of what another company had quoted me. They stayed and supervised all the water delivery, which they got me a great price on. Once it was full they started the pump and filter and made sure it was working correctly. They gave me good advice on care, and when I could expect to replace the aging filter. The pool is gorgeous and the liner is perfect- I could not be any happier with the work they did for me. See our photo below. After the fact we have had to call Mark and Robin for some invoice help in that our Realtors are reimbursing us for the cost of the new liner which they said was fine. Gator Pools continues to look after us even after the job is done by providing all the copies of the invoices needed to help us get our money!

They responded to my calls quickly. When he came he informed us that we needed a retaining wall built. He referred me to a few companies to have the wall done. We like him but have not decided on who we are going to choice for the job.

They showed up on time. He didn't even charge us to fix the cleaner. He charged for the parts. Excellent, excellent work.

While Mark seems to be a respectable businessman, we decided to wait until next season to put in our new liner(mostly financial reasons). When we do decide to do this project, we will call Mark to be our serviceman.

My vinyl pool liner began to leak in November 2006. Bids were requested from several companies. Mark Barbee of Gator Pool was a strong referral to us as someone that is attentive to detail and does the job as good as it can be done. Mark took the time to listen and go through the whole system with me and make recommendations. He actually came out twice to ensure my wife was pleased with the new liner pattern. I checked several of his references and found he charges the same price for the same service consistently and delivered exactly as agreed. Mark did the same for us. His attention to detail was above and beyond. He clearly wanted and expected his work to be perfect. The liner fit like a glove with NO wrinkles thanks to Mark's efforts. The changes made to the filter plumbing significantly increased water flow and filtration as he said it would. Outstanding job from start to finish on work quality, price, and service. In short, HE DELIVERED EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DELIVER!

When we opened our pool for the 2007 season, we had a rather large hole in our inground vinyl lined pool. Our existing liner was approx 11 years old. I joined Angie's list specifically to find a reputable pool service person to get to change our vinyl liner. Having had our pool for 12 years, I've had my share of "interesting" pool people to deal with. So when it was time to replace the liner, I didn't want to have to play games. I wanted someone reputable and someone WHO KNEW what they were doing. I called Gator pools and spoke to Mark. He met with me, we discussed options and he gave me a quote. His quote was the lowest I received, he was highly recommended on Angie's List, so it was a no brainer for me. He was great, timely, respectful and wonderful to work with. He did everything, he said he was going to do, very detail oriented. No regrets- and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND him!

He was wrong. Clearwater Pool Service correctly identified that the high speed filter wasn't working. They ordered a new filter under warranty.

Mark and his crew were fantastic! Gator Pool replaced our in-ground pool liner and it was a pleasure to work with them. Mark kept us informed throughout the whole process. They replaced our liner; pressure tested the lines and replaced the old worn out covers for the skimmer and outlet ports. The area was cleaned each night and left us with a beautiful pool we can use for years to come. They are true professionals and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is considering have pool work performed. Thank you Mark.

Mark fixed the broken pipe and went out of the way to avoid breaking up the new concrete deck by having his worker tunnel under the 4'' wide decking to work on the pipe.

Mark quickly noticed that we had an existing rain water drainage problem and suggested a solution. He clearly explained what he was doing, as well as what he was going to do. He supervised every step of the job with attention to details, cleaned up the site, and even removed the pool liner. We recommend Gator Pools and would be happy to use them again.

We feel fortunate we used Mark. His work attitude is top notch. The crew is friendly, professional, & clean. Mark is punctual and worked extended hours to meet our time schedule. Our installation was difficult. I know other contractors would have quit but not Mark! He did not waste time. I was home during installation. He was on a rockbreaker over a week. He was considerate about the noise and made sure it wasn t bothering neighbors. I am impressed with how he would make a call and equipment would arrive. He is open to any ideas and request. He would not accept payment until completed. Please believe me when I say he had every reason to give up on this pool but instead he was professional and determined to complete the job. Marks standards are highest quality uses only best materials. He does not take shortcuts! Our pool is above our expectations. Our kids have enjoyed it and miss Mark and his crew. He did an awesome job! We would hire again.

MARK WAS DETERMINED TO GET EVERYTHING RIGHT, AND KEPT WORKING ON A PROBLEM AROUND THE LIGHT, WHICH WAS CAUSING LEAKAGE. HE IS PROFESSIONAL, BUT VERY BUSY. HE DOES STRIVE DILIGENTLY TO MEET DEADLINES.

DECIDED TO TRY MARK AT GATOR POOLS AFTER A LONG PROCESS OF INVESTIGATING POOL CONTRACTORS. MARK APPEARS TO BE A TRUE SMALL BUSINESSMAN. HE SEEMS TO HAVE NO DESIRE TO BECOME A LARGE COMPANY WITH TOO MANY SUBCONTRACTORS AND EMPLOYEES THAT HE WOULD NOT PERSONALLY BE ABLE TO OVERSEE. WHILE THE INSTALLATION PROCESS PROBABLY TOOK LONGER THAN OTHER BIG COMPANIES MAY HAVE TAKEN, THIS WAS ONLY BECAUSE HE DID THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE WORK HIMSELF...AND HE IS A PERFECTIONIST. HE ALWAYS RETURNED PHONE CALLS, CAME OUT OFTEN ON WEEKENDS AND EVENINGS, AND ALWAYS KEPT US INFORMED ABOUT PROGRESS AND OTHER INFO WE NEEDED TO KNOW. IF YOU WANT A POOL PUT IN QUICKLY AND PERHAPS WITH SUBQUALITY STANDARDS, MARK IS NOT YOUR PERSON. HE HAS TOO MUCH PRIDE. I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND HIS WORK. MY ONLY SUGGESTION, IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A POOL NEXT YEAR, IS TO CALL HIM EARLY AS HE WILL MOST LIKELY ONLY INSTALL A LIMITED NUMBER SO THAT HE DOES NOT COMPROMISE QUALITY

THEY NOTICED THAT THE LAST PEOPLE THAT SERVICED THE POOL PUT THE WRONG LIGHT IN AND SO THEY REPLACED IT. WHEN THE LINER THEY PUT IN FAILED, THEY TOOK A PHOTOGRAPH OF IT AND HAD A NEW LINER FROM THE MANUFACTURER IN TWO DAYS. THEY WERE OVERALL EXCEPTIONAL!
