We are planning to paint the outside of our house and replace the gutters. There is some facia and soffit rot that needs to be repaired before the painting. The gutters need to be hung after the painting. James understood this completely. We were actually set to hire this company when a neighbor told us of someone they had used. We got a significantly lower price from that person and decided to go with them. It's a little scary, except that it IS a referral and we could see the work that was done. If things turn out wrong, we'll call Universal back. Thanks!

From the first meeting with James, I new I had met the right person for the job. After researching Angie's list I had determined that Universal Home Solutions was the group I wanted to contact. We set up and appointment and James dropped by. We sat out on my back deck I explained that I needed gutters cleaned and that I had a slight leaking issue only when there was an excessive amount of rainfall. I also mentioned that I was interested in the leaf free system. James looked at the over the job and explained in his opinion what needed to be done to handle the leak issue and explained the leaf free system. He promptly sent me an estimate. They did a wonderful job and I would not hesitate using James in the future. Any roofing or gutter issues , James will get my business. It's rare these day to find people who actually do what they say there going to do and do a great job at it. Universal Home Solutions is one of those rare breeds. James and his team are fabulous! They did everything they said they would (and then some), they showed up when they were suppose to and made the overall experience wonderful. My roof looks great. I would highly recommend this company.

James has been super busy so when he was able to respond to my request, he was very apologetic, told me it might be a few days (in case I decided to go with someone else.) I was fine waiting since he had already had so many great A-list reviews. Once the work was done (only a few days later!) he was able to address all the concerns I had from a previous gutter repair service. I now have asked him to return to do some additional work on some rotted wood, peeling paint, etc. I am always nervous to have folks come to my house for fear they will leave gates open, etc. I have 2 dogs that could escape. He assured me that there will be no problem. VERY professional, quick turn-around, trustworthy. I highly recommend Universal Home Solutions.

Well done, very neat job. They were in and out in the same morning. I was not able to see any evidence in leaves or trash of their work, so they cleared it out very well. My only complaint is that they did not give me much notice about their plans to come out, but I was able to work it out, and I am sure that they would have rescheduled if needed. Good, professional job.

James from Universal Home Solutions came to provide me with an estimate. He was thorough and had some good suggestions for solving some of my roof/drainage issues. In doing some preliminary roof inspection, he noted that i had some issues with my flat roof. Since Universal home Solutions does not work on flat roofs, he provided me with an Angie's list referral for the work. He was helpful and professional.

with the recent afternoon downpours, we discovered a water stain on the ceiling of our upstairs hallway. I immediately launched into "Angie"-mode and starting make phone calls. As I suspected, this time of year is extremely busy for the folks in the roofing industry. The best one provider could make was an appointment 2 weeks away!! Contacted James at Universal Home Solutions...explained my problem..and although he and his team were swamped with work, he fitted me in. He was inspecting my attic for water damage within 2 hours. Determined the problem and within 4 hours, his crew were on my very high roof sealing the leak and checking for any others. Extremely professional and prompt.....even though the job was probably small potatoes to them! And, if being really busy is a good measure of their business, I wish them continued success!!

They came out within days of my call due to the expected rains we where to get the rest of the week. work was done in a timely manner and they also reattached a downspout with screws that the lawn service kept knocking off. since they fixed the skylights it has rained hard over the last 4 days with no leaks. I'm very pleased with the work. I had new gutters and gutter guards installed by this company last year and since then my basement has not flooded once which had been occuring with every rain for many years prior. This company and James (the owner) are the best ! and I will continue to use them when the need arises.

Purchased Angie's list deal. They were out to our home within days. Arrived promptly and did an amazing job. They were very professional and helpful!

The Provider checked the flashing and all areas of my roof for possible areas where rain water could be entering. He found a small gap under the roofing at one point and sealed it. He wasn't sure if that was the problem, but offered to come back and use the amount I paid towards a future charge if he needed to come back. I didn't respond to this review sooner because there was a period of time after that when there was no rain....and I also wanted to wait awhile to make sure it didn't happen again.....it didn't. I have had no rain dripping from from my siding since then.

After calling through several local (Matthews/Charlotte) roofers, I finally connected with James. We were having significant leaking in our four seasons room, and another company hadn't been able to diagnose a problem. I needed someone to look at it before more rain set in late that afternoon. He was at the house within a few hours, and helped me see a leaf dam that had developed where the room met the house's roof. He asked for a broom, swept it away, and gave me contact info for another company that handles flat roofs in case that didn't take care of the problem. It did! He refused payment and merely asked for a good Angie's List review. Thanks so much, James!

I called Mr. Drummond to explain the service request and schedule an appointment. We set up a date to meet at my property to view the property and discuss the project further. Mr. Drummond was prompt for the appointment, friendly and very knowledgable about the project. He later emailed a quote for the job, I approved the quote and he later texted the install time and date. He installed the rain gutter as scheduled with no problems. Everything went smoothly, and I would use his services again if needed.

James saw my vision (gutters/downspouts) & made it reality. I was only able to meet him for estimate, was at work when the work performed but it was pleased with outcome when I came back. I would 100% recommend this company. They were extremely responsive throughout the ENTIRE PROJECT. James called me back promptly the next day after I left a message. His quote was delivered the day after the estimate and he called to follow up to ensure I received it the next day. He answered questions I had, promptly via telephone and email. It is very rare to find this service, professionalism and communication in the home service industry. When rain necessitated a delay in start times, James communicated clearly about this, which was a pleasing surprise. All of the workers were extremely professional and friendly and answered all of my questions. Some small additional repairs were completed on the final invoice with no extra charge, which was greatly appreciated.The repairs appear to be cleanly done and every day they cleaned up the outside of the house (which was extremely appreciated over the weekend that we had company). This provider agreed to respond very quickly to make repairs since the section involved was open to the elements and more rain was expected. He was prompt professional and cleaned up all debris as promised. The price was reasonable and I would definitely use this provider again.

James Drummond and his crew were responsive, punctual, and easy to work with on my project. They applied a right-sized approach (i.e. upgrading existing gutters instead of calling for all-new gutter system) that met my budget. I would use them again for future related work.

Very pleased with the quality of service. No indication work was done (no debris on ground or damage to landscaping) other than the gutters being cleaned, as promised. Our roof is a very high pitched, high elevation roof so we felt the price was quite reasonable considering the skill needed to safely and effectively perform the job.
