Scott came to give an estimate in November for the work, which would commence in February. Not only was his price the lowest of the 4 estimates I received, he inspired confidence by asking good questions and offering suggestions. When I called him in February to start the job, he got me on the schedule right away. I changed the parameters of the work by asking him to install crown molding in several rooms and by requesting a more expensive paint. He was upfront about the cost increases and I felt like he really tried to save me money on paint. His crew always showed up on time and even worked on a Sunday. They did a great job and I love the results. They even came back to add another coat of paint to a ceiling at my request.

I chose this company from the reviews on Angie's List and they were accurate. They were professional and on time and the cost estimate was accurate even though some extra work was required. I would use them again and highly recommend them. We were pleased all the way around.

Outstanding. His crew was polite and respectful of our schedule. They came out when they said they would and did great work! Scott came out and did a final walk through and noticed some trim was not finished and had his crew come and finish it off that day. Very professional.

We hired Scott and his crew to paint our family room and kitchen (including cabinets). He came out promptly and gave us a time & cost estimate. We went with him because of his reputation on Angie's List and his estimate seemed very fair. His crew came out on time and worked very hard. Scott actually took our kitchen cabinet doors before his crew came out, as he thought it would be easier to paint them in his shop than do them at our house. There were some minor scheduling issues and the job took longer than estimated. I think Scott overbooked a bit and our cabinet doors took longer than expected, and a couple of things we asked for weren't done the first time. However, Scott came out on Saturday and Sunday to finish up and do touch ups on our family room ceiling where extra coats of paint were needed. He worked very hard and we very much appreciated him coming out over his weekend to make sure the job was completed correctly. In the end, he charged us exactly what he estimated and we were pleased with his work. We would definitely hire him again!

It went great. I had 3 days from time of closing on my house until the trucks pulled up with my furniture. He manned the job properly to finish in time. His employees were very professional and cleaned up after themselves daily. They performed some items I wanted extra, without charging me anything. I am new to Charlotte and was referred to Scott from a co-worker. I am very thankful to that co-worker for helping me find Scott. It's comforting to know I don't have to call around and get 3 quotes anymore, all I have to do is call Scott.

They were the lowest, and most reasonable, quote for foyer walls (no trim-work and we provided the paint). They arrived on-time, were clean, neat, and professional. They did quality work, taped every edge, filled, spackled, and sanded (my wife had already done most of this), removed all hardware and fixtures, and replaced all (except for one blind valence, which they obviously forgot). Although Scott did not do the work, his two-man crew worked diligently and professionally, even skipped lunch to work straight on through. They cleaned up thoroughly, leaving no readily-visible drips (some were left on the top of a door frame, visible only from above), and no "crashes" (overpainting onto adjacent ceilings, walls, or trim). Their "cutting-in" lines were straight and even, and they left NO roller marks/lines on the wall. Scott came and inspected the work afterwards, and asked if we were satisfied. My wife is an artist with very high expectations for painters, and I have years of experience as a painter for a Victorian-house restoration crew. This is the first painting crew we have ever hired that we would use again in preference to our own work - they were that good. Scott and his men were detail-oriented and professional. They were also amazingly quick and responsive (we called him on a Wednesday and he was at work by Friday, finished on Monday). Scott works hard and is proud of the job he does. His high standard shows. The house looks amazing. Scott's diligence, common-sense approach, and responsiveness (he always calls back quickly) was a relief on a project this big. We felt like he was on our team.

Scott provided a quote on the spot and was able to move his schedule around to start work immediately, before we moved in - which was a requirement. The team whipped out the first coat in a day or two, giving me a chance to react to the color and make any color corrections before the second coat was applied. Scott gave suggestions to help make decisions. He and his team were professional and thorough. The only delay in wrapping up the project was getting someone to come back out and hang window treatments and bathroom mirrors back up. Scott followed up periodically to let me know how the job was progressing and to see if I had questions, always responding to requests in a timely manner.

Scott came for the estimate the same day that I called; he is very friendly and professional. When I called back to ask him to start he had a crew out the next day. The job was completed in one day like he had promised and it looks great. I am very pleased with the finished product and would use Scott again.

He arrived on time to do the painting. He was professional while he worked. He was very personable. I would use him in the future. The quality of his work was good.

Workers were on time and worked long hours. Prices were very fair. Workers were courteous (even patient with a 3 yr old). They cleaned up every day. Head contractor communicated often, checked in often and was dedicated to the quality of the work.

I interviewed a few contractors via long distance phone calls and had a gut feeling that Scott was dedicated to the work, had a full time crew, and would listen and make suggestions. We stayed in contact via phone and email and Scott was always working at the Matthews house when I came up on weekends. I saw immediately his attention to detail, his management of his crew, and the demands of time and effort he placed on his own shoulders. Scott knew I was on deadline to complete the house, but the quality of his work was never comprised nor sacrificed. Because of the many hours he put into my house, we completed the project in less than six weeks. It is a remarkable overhaul, and Scott was a pleasure to work with and to know.

Within a week from the quote, Scott and his crew were here and ready to get the job completed in 2 days. They had to spackle, prime and paint walls previously covered by wallpaper. They worked very well as a team and kept all areas very clean. They even hung plastic over doorways to keep the spackle dust and primer smell contained to one area. I always knew the progress of the job and the crew was very polite. I only had his bid on the job and after meeting Scott and checking a reference I decided that I wanted to use him. His price seemed good for the work involved and he came across very professional and at the same time down-to-earth.

We have a house that is 7,500 sq ft. Scott and his crew did a wonderful job in a timely fashion. Truly an A-1 professional company.

Excellent. He came by the day I called to look at the job and give an estimate. Two days later he was on the job. The job was spread over three days because of drying times between prep and coats.

Scott returned my call very quickly and arrived promptly at our agreed upon time to give an estimate. Scott arrived with the crew on the day of paining to ensure they were all set up with everything they needed. All furniture was moved out of the way, floors were covered with cloths, and protected the carpet. Cleaned up as they went along and did outstanding work. I was especially impressed with the skill in which the oil paint was applied.

When the house was pressure washed, there was a LOT of water inside the house having come in around the windows and doors. I know from previous experience with other contractors that this is COMPLETELY unnecessary if the pressure is dialed down on the washer and the areas around the edges of the windows and doors are done very carefully with very low pressure. The quality of the painting was fine. There are a few areas (that I can see) around the windows that could have used caulking that didn't get any. I understand that the quote he gave me for the job beforehand was probably high because he didn't know quite what he was going to run into (caulking and touchup painting) on areas of the house he couldn't really see while he was quoting the job, but the price should have been adjusted if the actual work performed wasn't as much as he was thinking it might have been. As it was, painting the front door wasn't originally part of the quote, but he volunteered to "include" it afterward.

Scott and his team did a great job with a multiroom, multicolored paint job. He coordinated well with our schedule and promptly addressed any areas that need additional work.

Scott was the least expensive of all 3 of the estimates received - this was actually the second time we've contracted with Scott (the first was a few interior rooms that we painted about a year ago) - Scott's level of service was high quality from start to finish - his crew finished the job in 2 days! Of course, I'd call Scott again for future projects!

I had three companies come out for an estimate 4 weeks before I needed the project done. One company was a large commercial outfit, another a moderate size, & Scott's. Scott's quote was not the least expensive but I got the best feeling from him. He didn't come in a with a computer & techie gadgets. You could tell he actually knew his business & did the work himself. He described a hardworking crew & gave me a quote that was fair. Scott called to confirm the job the day before, was on time, & showed up with 6 crew members ready to start. These guys took great care to keep the place clean. They were very productive & diligent about the work. There wasn't any down time. This crew just worked hard & busted out a quality 3 day job in 2 days. When I questioned my decisions, Scott was very patient & walked me through questions I had. He gave advice on what might look good. When I added work at the last minute, he was very accommodating. Scott is top rate!

Scott and his crew were outstanding. We had Scott do work at our home on three separate occasions and each time it was a pleasure working with him and his crew. They showed up on time exactly when promised on each occasion. The first room we had painted was the kitchen. The paint job was incredible and was finished on time. They also left the house spotless. Next we had our fence stained. The job was again done on time as promised and the fence looked incredible. Most recently we had our nursery done. The room looked incredible. Scott and his workers did an amazing job on the room. Again the job was done on time and they did a fantastic job cleaning up. Overall I cannot say enough about the work that Scott and his team does. They were all professional, courteous and truly do quality work.

We received estimates from 5 highly rated Angie's List painters. The only reason we did not select Scott was because his bid was just a little higher than the lowest bid submitted, which we went with. The other 3 bids were higher, two of which were significantly higher. I would not hesitate hiring Scott as he was very professional, seemed to be very competent and he was the only one to actively follow-up with me after submitting his bid.

Excellent, prompt service. Kept all appointments, completed the work neatly and professionally for a reasonable price.
