He did the work when I wasn't home --- which was something we agreed on upfront. He left an invoice and I sent a check for the work. One month later, I noticed the lower gutter seemed to be dripping long after a rainstorm had passed. So I got up on my ladder to take a look. I found quite a bit of caked-up debris clogging the gutter at the spout, and a fair amount of loose debris sitting along the entire run of gutter above the garage. So the million dollar question is whether a gutter could get that much debris in a one month timeframe. I don't think so, as there are no tall trees overhanging this section of gutter, but I really can't say for sure. So I reached out to John to get his point of view. I sent a very straightforward email including some pictures to Sealwize. It's been a week and I have not heard a word back. So now i am leaving this review, not only to highlight questionable work, but also to express my disappointment in his customer service.

ilMr. Monroe was very quick with an e-mail response and followed it up with a phone call the very next day. I explained what I wanted him to do and he gave me a quote over the phone. He was able to do the job for me within a couple of days. We set the time on the phone and he was here right on time. He is very professional and pleasant. He went right to work and did a great job. He did everything that I asked and when he was finished he presented me with his bill and asked if everything was alright. It was a very easy and pleasant experience and I have a very clean house, deck, drive and walkway.

I asked John to clean a clogged gutter, inspect and clean any other clogged gutters and to replace burnt floodlights. John was awesome - friendly, prompt and helpful.

I left an initial message for Mr. Monroe in the evening and he returned my call the next morning. I explained we need our gutters cleaned due to leaves. He said he would be in the area in a few days and we agreed that would be a good time for him to complete my request. I described the size of my house and he quoted $100. He called a few days later to let me know he would be out the following day. He performed the service and left an invoice. He is very nice and seemed to do a good job. I would use his service again and would recommend him as well.

Mr. Monroe was very prompt in responding to our call, courteous, and professional. He was extremely knowledgable in explaining the process to us. We felt assured that he knew what he was doing and that it would be done well. We were truly impressed with how well he cleaned both the house and sidewalk. We weren't sure that he could get some places as clean as he did. We could not be more pleased than we are with his service.

Emailed John about cleaning out my gutters. He called me back and we discussed the project including a request to take specific note of a portion of our gutters which have been giving us problems. He gave me a quote of $125 and I told him to fit me into his schedule. Imagine my surprise when he came out the very next day and did the gutters! I couldn't believe it when I found the invoice in my door much earlier than anticipated! I called him to get a followup on our troublesome area and he gave me his thoughts and comments on the gutters. So in addition to clean gutters I got a bit of education in the mix which will be handy when we go to build a house in a couple years and have to install a gutter system on the new house. All in all, I'm very pleased with John's timeliness, professionalism and the price. Definitely worth every penny!

I called John for an estimate and he was at my house the next day. He called me the next morning with separate estimates for each part of the job. I talked it over with my husband and as soon as I called John to tell him we wanted to do all the work, he was very responsive. In fact, he was at our house that afternoon to start. He even arranged his order of jobs around my kids nap times. He did a great job and was very professional. House is the cleanest it has been in a while!

John worked by himself. Was puntual and worked continuously to complete work. Work was done over three days (2 for deck, 1 for windows.) He refinished spot where coverage was inaduquate due to previous treatment by another company. Knew his business and was very careful to clean up and left no trace.

It went very well. John was friendly and accommodating throughout the process. It was easy to make arrangements and get a quote via telephone. He arrived earlier than the arranged time. He used hot water in the pressure cleaning, which he said is more effective than cold water. Including set-up time and clean-up time, John worked about 1 1/4 hours. He did a great job; the surfaces look almost new compared to their earlier dirty look. I paid John's minimum pressure-washing fee of $175.

I felt that the price was too high. He was also not very fast to get back to me.

John arrived at my home within a couple of days of my initial contact. He completed the job in a timely manner. What really impressed me was John's willingness to return to my home after the big storm to re-clean my gutters for no additional charge! The storm filled my gutters with leaves only a couple of days after John cleaned them. I don't know anyone that would have done such a favor. I will always contact John first to clean my gutters. He went above and beyond the call of duty! I give him an A++ for his kindness!

He was friendly, came out when he said he would and did a great job! I would definitely use him again and will recommend to others.

Excellent overall experience. John Monroe was very responsive and communicative from the 1st inquiry made via Angie's List. Very prompt scheduling of service, very accommodating re: scope of work, easy to work with, performed work exactly as described (in detail) via phone, 100% satisfied, no complaints. Looking forward to working with John again in the future. Highly recommended.

From our perspective this job was quick and easy... we enjoyed working with John Monroe.

A great job from start to finish. John Monroe provided an estimate, then came and did the job while I was at work. SO nice to come home to clean concrete! I would recommend his work, professionalism and punctuality - and would absolutely use his services again. I don't know if price was high or low, because I contacted him solely on Angie's List recommendations - but for that kind of labor-intensive work, I think it was a fair price.

Gutters were cleaned (I can only confirm the ones that I can see) and, unlike another company I have used, Mr. Monroe cleaned up the debris that was flushed from the gutters. Very pleased with the job. Will use again.

John has pressure washed my deck and cleaned my windows every couple of years. He always does an excellent job and I will continue to use his services.

It was a pleasure working with John. He was punctual and responsive from the beginning. The project took a total of 3 days, and at the end of each day John called me to give me an update of progress. We had just moved into a new house that looked like it had not been cleaned nor the deck treated since it was built in 1998. After John was finished, it looked brand new! I would definitely recommend John Monroe's services.

John cleaned all exterior windows on our home. Two stories with many windows. The price was as or more competitive as other quotes. John was easy to work with and responsive to my calls. The windows came out well. He explained that some had baked-in mineral stains in the glass, so they would not look quite as clear. This was the case when I went over them myself, no dirt remained but you could see some spots inside. The only small area for improvement is that there was some dirt on some windows at the bottom of the panes, where it would have been great if he'd have wiped them clean at the end of the job. I went over these myself with Windex and paper towels, as we were showing our house and I wanted it to look top-notch.

We usually get our gutters cleaned and house pressure washed once a year. Last year he did only pressure washing. He did the work when we weren't here at home. I think we were traveling. We have used him twice. He does a pretty good job and stands behind his work. I recall that we just wanted to do one side of the house because that was the side that used to get a little mold because the sun never shone on that side of the house. I was impressed with his work. He is also fairly priced.

Called John for a quote, he was friendly and helpful on the phone but need to come by the house before offering a quote because of the size of the house. He was able to come by when I was not home and clean the gutters. Everything looks great and I was very happy with the service.

John has always done a good job for me at a reasonable price. He has been punctual and professional.

This time the results were beyond my expectations. Because of the heavy accumulation of green algae I thought there would be areas where a tint of green remained. When I got home from work I was delighted to see sparkling white sliding without green accents. John did a fabulous job for me and was both friendly and professional. I recommend him very highly!
