Mike did an excellent job. I scheduled the inspections about one week in advance, and he was on time and diligent. When we had to wait to be let in to the 2nd property, he took the time to start the report of the first property on his laptop. His full reports were very thorough. They included photos that had arrows pointing to exactly the issue being reported. He was explicit about a couple of repairs that would require a county permit.

It went very well. The inspector identified some minor issues and one significant issue regarding a truss in the roof. The cost of an engineer to certify the repair that will be necessary more than makes up for the cost of the inspection.

Mike arrived at the home earlier than scheduled. He performed a true home inspection, getting into the cracks and crevices of each area of the house. He supported his findings with high resolution digital pictures. Upon completion, 3 hours later, he went through the report summary with us line-by-line. That evening we received the detailed report along with the digital pictures so that we could generate a repair list for the sellers. We are confident that if Mike hadn't been so thorough we would have eventually discovered some of these issues down the road and would have been forced to pay for them out of pocket.

Mr. Lewis went over the house with a fine tooth comb and was VERY prompt (my wife was there 10 minutes early and he was already there). His report was in our hands that evening and he was great to work with and very professional. I had read other good reports on him on the website and I would definitely recommend him as well.

Mr. Lewis had our inspection to us the same night. His report had great pictures and helpful advice for present and future home maintenance. He and his staff were very friendly and accommodating with our ever-changing closing date. Fair price and detail-oriented. We HIGHLY recommend this company.

As a real estate broker, I am aware of how important it is to find an accurate, thorough and detail oriented inspection company. I was very impressed with Michael and will definitely use him again.

Michael was timely, thorough, and efficient. He was early to our appointment, and was very pleasant to work with. He did the work on a Friday afternoon, and e-mailed his report that evening, so we would have it for our walk-through on the following Monday morning.

Michael was punctual, friendly, reasonably priced, and thorough.

After consulting with Realtors, I decided it was a bad idea to get a pre-inspection, but forgot to cancel appointment. Rep came out to do inspection and when it was discovered, that I did not cancel (and they did not call ahead), he cheerfully left refusing compensation. He gave me several tips in the process and I felt this was a good person with ethical standards. I would hire in a minute.

Price includes parts and labor. Terri came promptly to initial appointment, started work a day earlier than promised (good), finished promptly, cleaned the site, acknowledged an oversight on her part and offered a better resolution and agreed to do the additional work for parts only.

This is the second time I've used Mecklenburg Inspections. Mr. Lewis again went above and beyond my expectations. He performed a thorough inspection of the entire house/property. He walked me through all of his findings and suggested how I discuss them with the builder. He even made mention of a few cosmetic things, that, while he couldn't put them in his official report, he still suggested I address with the builder. His thoroughness and knowledge completely put me at ease about my new home.

Michael was on time, very knowledgeable and freindly. He went over and above the call to meet my client for a reinspection.

Could not have been more a professionally conducted inspection; performed in an orderly manner so as not to interfere or interrupt anything else going on at the same time. His demeanor and self presentation could only be described as top notch. My first experience with Michael Lewis top quality inspections was as Board President of a condominium association --- we had to come up with the funds to repair items which we thought had been done properly. Not even close.

Excellent experience! Would highly recommend Mr. Lewis and Mecklenburg Inspections. He was very thorough in his inspection. He walked me through the whole process, explaining what he was looking for throughout the house. Even though he met me late in the day (5pm), he said he would have the preliminary report and pictures to me later that evening - and he did. A written report followed in the mail a few days later. I have already scheduled Mr. Lewis to come back out next month and do my final walk-through inspection.

I called upon Mecklenburg Inspections to do a check-up on our home. I was able to schedule an appt. with Mr. Lewis within 1 1/2 weeks of calling. He was early for the appt. and promptly got to business. We thoroughly went through every room in the house checking every inch, or so it seemed!! He spent 4 1/2 hours going top to bottom of our home. There were numerous items that where missed by our inspector 4 years ago when we purchased our home. How I wished we had Angies List and Mr. Lewis at that time!! Anyway, he went over all items in need of attention prior to leaving my home. The report was e-mailed with photos by that evening with a hard copy to follow. I appreciate his professionalism and recommend his services to anyone interested in purchasing a home or simply to do their own home check-up.

Prompt and courteous. Explained all aspects of report and offered suggestions (fyi's). Report was sent by email within 2 hours of completing inspection.

Mike is great, he tests everything he can and does a great job. One of the best in Charlotte.
