Michael Lewis performed an inspection on a home we are buying. We live out of town so we were really relying on him and his ability to communicate. Michael's report was very complete and easy to read. Where there were minor questions, his wife was able to very quickly and easily get answers. Not much to report other than very pleasant and easy to work with.

Mike was prompt, very polite, friendly, and presented himself well. He explained all the summary items noted, and the report was emailed to me promptly. I would highly recommend him.

Inspection went great and was incredibly thorough. We had a punch list of items that were noticed by the inspection down to a granular / detailed level that was greatly appreciated. We also requested a Radon inspection and were glad we did because there were elevated levels that were found in the home. After we provided the list of items to the sellers they fixed the majority of them as requested. Mecklenburg Inspections came back and inspected the fixes, although I cannot speak to whether there was a cost associated with that (I imagine there was for the sellers).

Michael was excellent! He reviewed and tested every accessible area in the home, and explained all of his findings to me before leaving. He follow-up with a written report that was timely, very detailed, and contained photo references. Best investment I've ever made!

Michael did a thorough job of looking at all aspects of the home. We were at the site during the inspection and were well pleased with his knowledge, expertise and thoroughness. We received a verbal report on the spot and that evening were emailed a written report with pictures. The report is detailed and easily understood and also included suggestions. All communications with the office and at the job site were courteous, friendly and professional. We will definitely call on them again if we need another home inspection.

Michael was available to perform the inspection on a Saturday. He arrived on time, very professional and thorough. He prepared the report and shared the results with us the same day. Very efficient and explained all the aspects in detail.

He was great. He did a through rough inspection and let me know what appeared and things that were not to code. He let me know about safety hazards and electrical plumbing issues. He has a great detailed report and recommends if you need to look further into things. He would also recommend if things need repaired.

They are one of the top companies. The person that came out found some good issues. It was nice to know those details. There was some roofing issues. We wanted to make sure we had the house inspected before we closed on the house.

I'm getting a 50 year old house ready to sell. Wanted to get an inspector to look the place over to help create the to-do list. Mike, the owner came by and performed the inspection. He came on time, and was happy to walk around with me and show me what he had found. He was very thorough and found dozens of items that the previous inspector did not find, and his work has been the blueprint for the rehab project. Of course, there's no telling what the buyers inspector will uncover, but the list should at least be shorter. Yes, I'd use him again.

I implore any potential home buyer to pursue Michael Lewis of Mecklenburg Inspections for their home inspection. My husband and I were particularly weary of buying an older home for the first time and were quickly re assured by our experience with Mike that we would have full transparency at our fingertips to understand exactly what we were buying and quelled any/all 'unknowns.' This was our first home purchase together as a married couple and Mike took extensive time not only to inspect the home, write the meticulously detailed report but also spent a significant amount of time reviewing the report with us one on one. After leaving the initial inspection we with a level of depth of knowledge that armed us to be the intelligent buyers and negotiators everyone should be. After the repairs were completed by our contractor Mike was flexible and worked us in to his schedule promptly even in to late hours on Friday evening. for our re inspection. The whole process went smoothly.

Michael arrived at 12:50 pm for a 1:00 appointment. We met before the inspection started, and Michael provided information on how the inspection would go, what areas of the home he would examine, and about how long the inspection would take. As Michael inspected, we discussed various findings along the way, and he was receptive to answering in detail my questions on his findings. Michael did a very thorough inspection throughout the house. His inspection concluded at approximately 5:15 pm. His report was well executed, documented clearly, and contained photographic evidence of his findings. The report was delivered to me via email that evening. Michael was punctual, knowledgeable, respectful, and personable. He is an outstanding professional, and I would highly recommend him to others seeking a home inspection.
