Very friendly on the phone and had repair woman here within a couple of hours. She looked in the usual places but had to go deeper. Leak was found but one of only a few parts not on the truck so it was ordered. We were called later that day to say part would be in the next day and the would call before coming over. Called the next morning, she came and changed problem piece. Presented with the bill my husband asked about senior discount and Bill was promptly discounted with a friendly smile. VERY happy with whole experience.

When my 10 year old dryer suddenly stopped working I needed help quickly. I chose Matthews because of the great reviews and because they only fix washer and dryers. When I called we first tried to troubleshoot the problem over the phone but when it was determined a trip was needed it was easily arranged around my scheduled. Everything went smoothly the morning of the appointment. They were on time and very professional and very thorough. Unfortunately, my dryer had a rare problem and could not be repaired economically. When it came time to pay we were shocked when they did not charge us anything. We would recommend this company without hesitation and use them again if we should ever need their service.

Monny was able to repair the dryer and explain how the washer was damaged beyond repair by the seller.

Matthews Appliance repair is an example of how good business used to be conducted. Monny picked up the phone (no voicemail), gave me an appointment time for the following morning, texted me that he was on the way and showed up exactly on time. When he arrived he explained exactly what he needed to replace and completed the job in 15 minutes as he had predicted. He is truly a specialist with an excellent work ethic and professional work code that is sometimes missing in our 'modern' day.

The technician was actually slightly earlier than anticipated which was great because I had to go to work afterwards. He fixed the problem within 5 minutes. Had I known what was causing the problem I could have fixed it myself. But I didn't know. I am glad I contacted Matthews Appliance and I was definitely pleased with the availability and the service performed!

Contacted Matthews Appliance by phone, knew what I needed immediately, got the particulars and scheduled with us for the next day. Showed up on time, was very professional, got the job done immediately and for the price promised. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience.

The guys were very professional. Got there at the time agreed upon. Set about working on the dryer and kept me informed all the time as to what they were finding and showing me the parts that were fried. Work was reasonably priced and never felt pressured into any other deal. Definitely will recommend them to others as well as continue to use them in the future.

Monny scheduled a Saturday appointment that was convenient for me. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He looked at every possible part of the washer and made sure everything was in working order. He did not find any broken parts and talked to me about several reasons it may have overflowed. He answered all my questions and gave me several suggestions to help keep my machine in excellent condition. Monny was the most professional, knowledgeable and friendly repairman I have ever called upon. He could have charged me a lot more for his service call even though he didn't have to repair anything, but he didn't. That shows me that he knows how to treat his customers and make sure they become repeat customers. I will absolutely call Monny again and will definitely refer him to all my family and friends. I contacted them on Saturday when our washer broke down. Was told that they would arrive "exactly at 9:45 on Monday". Sure enough, they arrived right on time. Installed the new part according to the error code. For some reason this didn't solve the problem. Since he was unable to fix the washer, he was unwilling to accept any payment, even though they installed a part and attempted the service! Will definitely use them again. Very honest people.

I found Monny on Angieslist, called him on Sunday morning and he returned my call within 30 minutes. We scheduled an appointment for Thursday afternoon, 1/21, and as promised, he was on site at the agreed upon time. He and his partner went straight to work disassembling my dryer, cleaning it out thoroughly and educating me. He replaced the heating element (this dryer is a Maytag Neptune that I've had for 10 years and never had any problems with until now). He also found/removed that missing shoelace. :-) Since it had been quite a while since I had had the dryer vent cleaned, he recommended a company that specifically does that type of work (and I contacted them the following day, scheduled service and had that completed as well). The team from Matthews Appliance was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I will definitely use their services again for my washer and dryer and I highly recommend them.

After having to reschedule the appointment due to a conflict with my schedule, Monte arrived on-time and was able to tell me very quickly what the issue was and the cost to repair it. The repair required that the spin tube and drive coupling be replaced along with an agitator kit. Since I've never attempted a repair to a washing machine, he was very informative of what was behind done and gave me tips for keeping it clean and in good working order - don't overload it. He even touched up an old chip on the top of the machine without being asked to do so. In the future I will definitely use and I highly recommend Matthews Appliance.

My Samsung Dryer stopped no longer had heat. I called Matthews Appliance, Monny answered my first call, told me the price over the phone, told me when he would be available, and performed the work same day. He arrived on time, he showed me the problem and new part, and he cleaned and lubricated the dryer. All "A's" for Matthews Appliance.

Wow! Service from a bygone era. He arrived 4 minutes early. Within 15 minutes the machine had been opened up and diagnosed. He told me that it was not worth repairing because the cost would be prohibitive. He explained why and discussed recommendations for purchasing replacements. He was thorough and answered all of my questions. In the end, he refused to charge me despite having spent 20 minutes here. Again, wow!

I called this morning. He knew immediately over the phone what my problem was. There was an opening this morning and my washer was fixed within 10 minutes. Great customer service, and I would use again.

They did a great a job and were very quick. They were extremely prompt!

Would refer Matthews Appliance to anyone. Same day service. Owner came out. My dryer had caught on fire due to lint. He explained and showed me what was going on. My dryer is 10 years old. He repaired and cleaned it- looks as good as new! This mother of 3 is now washing clothes again.

Called Matthews Appliance left message. Monty repairman returned call shortly after leaving message on their voice mail. He was at another repair job, asked what problem was, I gave all information I could on problem, he said would call back when he finished. As promised he called back shortly after and stated it sounded like it was the pump which would cost $165.00 to replace because of the model we have. He said he had a job close to where we lived next that should take about an hour and he could be at our home around 2. About 1:50 Monty, repairman contacted us saying he would arrive in 5 minutes, which he did. FIXED as promised - Great Service Pete & Kay Smolinsky

I don't know why he would turn a job away, especially if it did turn out to be a bigger issue. Wouldn't that mean more money for him? Also if he would have at least come out to look at it, he could have charged me a service call fee. I unplugged the washer so it could reset itself and plugged it back in and it worked perfectly! Looks like it wasn't damaged in the move after all, as he misdiagnosed over the phone without even looking at the washer. He could have made easy money if he bothered to look at it. I will not call this company for any future problems. I will admit he answered when I called and got back to me promptly though, I just did not like the way it was handled.

Contact them early morning on 7.7 with an issue that had started the night before with the dryer not heating but running its cycle. We spoke in the am and he said that he'd be here around 345. Texted me at 1230 and asked if I was available at 1. He arrived promptly at 1. He troubleshot the dryer and determined it was not the problem and then began looking at the receptacle and plug. Found a defective receptacle and had the part on board his truck to replace it. All in all, in and out in about 45 min. Nice, professional, straight to the point. Would use him again if the need arises.

My appointment was at 12:45. Manny text to say that he is ahead of schedule that he can be at my house at 12pm. He arrive at 12:00. By him only doing washer and dryer repairs, he was able to diagnose and fix my dryer within 10 minutes. I will use this service again and recommend to others who need washer and dryer repairs.

It went better than I expected. I contacted Monny on Sunday through the message option and he responded within minutes. We were able to set up an appointment for the next day. He showed up at the specified time and went right to work. As I stated before, he was in and out in 45 minutes. There wasn't any wasted time and I greatly appreciate the services being performed in a timely manner.

Contacted Monroe on Sunday, Memorial Weekend, and explained that the washing machine stopped at the rinse cycle and was left with standing water. He came within an hour and was gone in 15 minutes. I had just moved into a rental property and the management company would not come out until at least Tuesday. Even after explaining that the water would start to smell and could force a leak, they still would not come. Thank goodness I am still an Angie's List member even after selling my home. I would recommend this compamy and will use him in the future.

The technician shared with my wife that he didn't like working on front loading washing machines. He looked at the machine, and announced he had found the leak: a small hole in the rubber gasket that surrounded the door. While the hole looked "uniform" in shape, like it was supposed to be there, my wife was grateful and thanked the technician. He then said he would call with more info. Later that night, he called my wife and informed me that he may have mis diagnosed the problem, and that the hole in the gasket was a normal drain hole for the machine. I don't know if he said he would call us back or not, but Matthews Appliance never did call back. While I certainly understand that some technicians can not or do not want to work on certain machines, I wish the technician would have been up front with my wife straight away. That is my only complaint with Matthews Appliance.
