Maid Brigade

Two women showed up and did a good job cleaning the house. The issue I had is that it was going to take longer than the time on the deal that I had purchased and they had to call the office to explain the pricing structure to me because I didn?t speak Spanish. I was happy with the end result even though it ended up costing me double from what I expected. I even gave the two ladies a tip. Then a year later I hired another cleaning service with an Angies list deal and a single lady came out and wow. She got everything covered herself for the price of the coupon! I then realized that last year I got a little hustled. I?ve read several other reviews and understand that it?s common practice with some companies to let you know up front how ?large? your job is and that it will be ?extra? to complete everything you need done? It was due to my recent experience where one honest cleaner did the same cleaning job that two women charged me for last year? Nothing fraudulent or anything like that. Just felt a little played?

My experience with them went very well. They could use a little more attention to detail. They're very responsive. They're pretty good. They're respectful and they listen. They're on time. We've used them for awhile now and we'll continue to use them in the future.

They're very good. They keep in touch via email when the appointments are. The workers are good. I wish they would include more things they can do, like hanging curtains, stuff like that. They don't do that. They don't do anything where the person has to stand on anything. I've used several other companies. Their price is good.

The ladies that came were so thourough and they demonstrated a very high level of professionalism and work ethic. They cleaned as much as they possibly could in the time given and did such a nice job. i mean, they cleaned things that we didn't even really expect them to clean. They were friendly courteous, professional and kind. I would recommend Team 7 at Maid Brigade any day of the week!! Thanks, Brian M

It went well. I needed them a little longer and I paid them for an extra hour. They're very efficient but I'm used to having things done a little faster. I wanted them to work a little longer but they called their boss and their boss wouldn't let them, even though I said I'd pay extra for it.

Made the appointment with Yadirah. Great experience Pros: Hilda was excellent. She was pleasant and detailed oriented throughout her services. If this was solely based on Hilda's overall rating, Maid Brigade and Hilda would receive an A in every category. She will be the reason why we would use Maid Brigade again! Cons: Francisca (2nd team member). It was raining the day of service. She walked onto hardwood floors, never wiped her feet, and went straight upstairs (carpeted) leaving mud trails. I asked her to cover her shoes with the shoe covers (we supplied). She never apologized. I wiped the mud marks immediately to avoid it from drying into the carpet. That was my hint right there! She was responsible for dusting (or lack thereof) and washing the baseboards and vacuuming. Except for the base boards her work was sub par and incomplete. She dusted using the one swipe method...if there is such a thing! The cd/dvd shelves, the dining room glass table, the glass/wood coffee table, the home theater glass/wood table, never touched the 3 silk plants and some of the figurines were left with noticeable partial cleaning. Please know the "D" ratings is for the poor performance from Francisca. I was so annoyed with her fortunately Hilda was there. I would use Maid Brigade as long as the employees are like Hilda.

They do a careful and thorough job. We have had them working on our house now for over a year. There are a few notes which are not always passed from one crew to another, but the problems have been annoyances, not issues.

I have been using Maid Brigade for at least 5 years and have recommended them to many neighbors and friends. The personal attention by Mark, and now also his son Matt, is what makes this a superior company.

Maid Brigade cleans my house every other week - they are always on time and the house is always beautifully clean when they leave. The bathrooms are completely clean - the shower especially which is tile is always spotless. The vacuum the furniture which removing all dog hair and the floors are spotless. They wipe down the blinds and ceiling fans and wipe out the microwave and the toaster oven. The let you know the day before what time they will be there and are always on time. If there is a problem, they call ahead to let me know and schedule an alternate time or day that is convenient. I couldn't be happier with this service.

The team comes in a branded vehicle with uniforms. They do their job thoroughly and then leave-no dawdling, phone talking etc. They are all business. They have a note book that instructs specific details of what should be completed every time they come. They are very good at completing their tasks within a timeline that we can appreciate. They can adjust tasks if you ask them to complete it differently such as use less water. All and all we like Marc and the Maid Brigade service very much.

Very professional cleaning company. I've used other cleaning companies in the past and not as satisfied. I plan on using recurring services with them and would recommend them to my friends.

I was disappointed in the job that was done. I expected that 2 ladies at least would be able to clean the entire downstairs of a 3400 square foot home ( a family room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen and small mud room). Very light dusting was provided. They did not dust baseboards or molding. The cabinets that they wiped still contained stains and smudges. My stove was cleaned by one of the ladies but there were stains around the gas burners. During the last 20-30 minutes one of the ladies was hurriedly vacuuming the hardwoods so that they could be mopped. The mopping that was done of my hardwoods was very cursory. All in all very disappointed in the work that was provided.

The team (Hilda, Francisca) arrived promptly and finished the work in the designated time - I had purchased a Deal of 6 labor hrs for $215. The house was spotless and shiny when they finished. Especially impressive was the master shower, which was showing its age but when Hilda finished it look brand new. I was amazed how well it came out. Great work. I would definitely use them again.

Maid Brigade is excellent. When they have cleaned my house, it is clean and smells great. They are thorough, professional and on time. I appreciate the fact that they do a great job on the harder to clean areas of the house like the bathroom and kitchen. I would highly recommend them. My interactions have been wonderful with them.

While there was some poor planning on our part, this was a very poor experience. We had initially requested a whole-house cleaning, but once they arrived we realized that we had some significant organizational work that we needed to do upstairs before it would be ready for a normal housecleaning. I didn't expect that to be a problem, because there was plenty of work that needed doing downstairs. So I asked them to start working downstairs, which they seemed to understand. Shortly after that, I asked them to *only* work downstairs, and get it completed, spend whatever time they had scheduled for us just completing that. Once again, they agreed. They did some work downstairs, they did a reasonably fair job of cleaning our kitchen appliances and counters, they dusted our living room, and they vacuumed. However, there were still some problems. They used an extension wand to dust our ceiling fan, which they put enough pressure on to knock it off-kilter. Also, one of the reasons I had contacted them was because we had a bad experience with a different cleaner previously who had wet-moped our hardwood floors, and Maid Brigade made a selling point of using cleaners and methods appropriate to hardwood floors... but then they didn't use any, they just vacuumed and left all of the smudges, spots and spills that the vacuum didn't pick up. Once they had done this much, they went back upstairs and started again, after I had clearly told them to only work on the downstairs. Eventually we realized that even after asking specifically for a cleaning service that could speak English, the women they sent were one that couldn't speak English and another that barely spoke English. Their dusting methods were to swipe the dust off onto our bed linens and have it flying through the air. They were sneezing and my wife told them she was allergic to dust. They just smiled and nodded their heads with no comprehension of the medical problems they were causing her. She had to leave our bedroom to prevent from having an allergy attack. We now have to rewash our laundry and all our bed linen due to her allergies. I asked them to leave but they kept cleaning, another indicator that they did not understand English enough to understand our concerns and needs. I had to call the service office to translate to them that we wanted them to leave. We may now have to get an air purifier to clear out the dust they spread all over the house so my wife doesn't get sick. This was a waste of our money.

I am new to Charlotte and looking for a housecleaning service. I saw that Maid Brigade had good reviews, but after taking time to fill out the extended survey on their site, I received 2 out of office responses from Rachel Titlebaum and was never contacted again about service. Very disappointed that I wasted my time filling out the information.

They arrived precisely on time and were courteous and professional. Unfortunately the power had been shut off by mistake and they were unable to use the vacuum or turn on the lights. They did the best they could in difficult circumstances. That said, once the lights came back on there were corners in the bathroom that could have been cleaner. However it is difficult to fault them due to the circumstances. Also, I paid extra for the refrigerator and cabinets to be cleaned. Not all of the cabinets were cleaned. Overall they did a good job.

They did an ok job on the cleaning but were not very friendly.

They were very professional, pleasant and did a fantastic job! The house was spotless when we started moving in later. Would definitely use them again, in fact I'm considering a regular cleaning contract.

I was very unhappy with the cleaning. Most of the cleaners could not understand what I was requesting them to do. I left them to the job. They totally missed cleaning and dusting some areas, did not clean the inside of the cabinets as they were requested to do when I made the appointment. They did not clean the window sills as requested. I was very displeased with their work. They did come back to try to correct the problems, but that should not be necessary for 3 workers cleaning a townhouse and having 3 to 4 hours to do it. It was vacant so there was no furniture to have to deal with.

The workers were very friendly and professional. They arrived on time and did a fantastic job!

We have been using Maid Bridgade for approximately a year now. We were set up to do every other week and the time frame was between 3-4:00pm, chosen not out of convenience but necessity. We would have much preferred the cleaning to be done while we were out of the house working, but that turned out to be unfeasible. Our team(s) were not bilingual and that made it extremely difficult to communicate with each other. The team would not enter out home because of our dogs, despite the fact that we would kennel one of them and the other was loose (and sweet tempered). They could have placed him in the sunroom or in the yard (by simply opening a door) prior to starting, but no one on the team was willing to do that. In fact, no one was willing to even MEET the dog so that all parties would be comfortable together. He has a heart condition aggravated by stress-having him kenneled inside our home all day was not an option. As a result, either my wife or myself would have to rush home on cleaning days to rearrange our dogs. This was something that we grudgingly accepted, however... We ALWAYS had a problem with time of arrival. Since we were forced to rush home and play "musical dogs," we needed their arrival to be as late as possible. The Maid Brigade office claimed to understand this difficulty and always promised an arrival time of 3 or later. The majority of the time they would be sitting in their car in the driveway waiting for us 30 minutes to an hour beforehand. We know this not only because they were in the driveway when we arrived home, but also because the main office would call and inform us that the team was at our residence but were afraid to enter. We are considerate people, and knowing that someone was awaiting our arrival in order to begin work was extremely stressful. Paying for the luxury of having your house cleaned is supposed to alleviate stress, not create more!
