I was not impressed. I bought the $99 gutter cleaning "Big Deal", and guess I should have set my expectations much lower. The gutters were inspected, and any leaves present were cleaned out. The asphalt roof debris remained in the gutters, one of which I could see from an upstairs window, and when I asked about this, I was told that there was no point in removing it as more of it would wash off the roof & settle in the gutter again. They also checked to make sure all downspouts were not blocked, except one which had a 90 degree bend as it came down & wrapped under the eave. I was told that this would require extra time & work to take it apart for inspection/cleanout, and would involve an additional charge. I declined. Lastly, part of my roof is about 2.5 stories high, as the house is on a high crawl space & the yard slope downhill on one end of the house. A good section of gutter was not able to be reached as their ladder was too short. This would have been a good thing to ascertain when the appointment was made, so that an adequate height ladder could have been brought. Date of service is my best guess...I lost calendar data, so cannot say for sure what date this was done.

It took a while and a lot of calls to get them to do the work but once they got here, it was an hour's worth of work and it was satisfactory.

Provider was prompt, polite and professional. They took the time to explain the work they did and did a fine job.

they did what they said they would do. I purchased 4 hours of wood rot repair for $99. There ended up being an additional charge for materials but it wasn't unreasonable.

Repaired loose shingles--job completed.

After contacting the company about the up-charge the gentleman on the phone who said he was the owner's son was very rude and claimed that this was a standard charge for steep roofs and after I had asked to speak with the owner, he said his father would back up anything he said. I found this gentleman to extremely unhelpful with describing why the up-charge was taking place and wasn't happy with the way he treated me over the phone.

Haven't had anything done yet.

Purchased coupon on Angies list and was quick to get someone out to give an estimate (within a day or so). However it took some time after that to get the actual work done. I was apparently on their schedule but I don't recall getting an email or call to confirm the date. Anyways once the work was done, it was completed to my satisfaction.

I purchased this on 4/1 and it took quite awhile for him to get back with us to schedule to even come out. I waited again quite sometime and still haven't heard back from him. It has been 20 days and I haven't heard anything on an estimate. He was a really nice guy, so its unfortunate that I never heard back from him. I wanted to have the work done by June, but it looks like it wont be happening with BTR. There was some correspondence through Angies List with Kim, however the guy with the estimate never responded back.

The provider did a thorough assessment of the home and found a number of other issues that needed to be addressed. They provided an estimate and we scheduled a time to get the work done. The work itself was done pretty quickly and using high quality materials. The only complaint I would have is that the end price was quite a bit higher than the deal we purchased but in all fairness to them the amount of work that needed to be done was more than the hours quoted for the deal.

They did an excellent. They were punctual and they got the job done in a timely manner. It was Bill, the owner who came out and did the work.

The original estimate was that the work might run as much as $1400, so I was thrilled when the total expense was only $860. The service man showed up early at 7:30 and was finished by noon. He used materials that won't rot to replace the removed areas. I was amazed at how efficiently he worked by himself. I would definitely use this company again. The work man removed all the removed material and apologized for not having paint the color of my siding. Painting was the least of my worries. My husband could handle that task but not the repair work.

Unfortunately, they did not complete the job. May be that was a sign from God that they would not satisfactorily complete the work. Scheduling was a nightmare and the job was never on the books. I felt as if my job was low in priority because of the cost of repairs being minimal was not attractive enough for them to honor the job. Very poor customer service and professionalism as well. Will never use them and surprised that they are on your list.

I had them out for an estimate but I didn't have them do the work. What they told me they could do in 4 hours was basically nothing. I didn't use this big deal and will be getting a refund. The estimate that they gave me was a lot higher than the other estimates I'd already gotten. Their explaination as to why the price was so high was murky at best.

Kevin came out, looked over project, said he would send estimate. Got estimate a couple days later, which included a very shady estimate of $90 materials, PLUS setup charge of $190. I previously paid $99 for 4 hours of labor (normal charge $300) on Angie's List. This estimate was to replace a rotted door jamb and if needed weather strip on my back door. When I asked for further explanation of the set-up charge, I got no response, even after several requests by phone as well as e-mail. I feel the job was small and they couldn't be bothered with the small stuff! So added the ridiculous charge for set-up. The charge for materials also seemed inflated. I would be careful using this company. I can not attest to the quality of work they do because I would never deal with them again.

The process started in early Aoril. We received a quote on a window replacement on April 5th. We confirmed our acceptance of the quote on April 7th; the confirmation also included suggested install dates. We never received a written response to our confirmation. We have since made several phone calls to BTR have talked to the receptionist, Mr. Kevin McHugh, and ultimately Bill McHugh (the owner) and still have not received a positive response to when the job will be started. The most recent call was yesterday to Bill McHugh who advised he or his son would confirm a date by today at 9:00 am.This did not happen, therefore we plan to move forward with another contractor. This experience with BTR was very disappointing in light of all the great reviews found on Angie's List. Perhaps the job is beyond BTR's current capabilities. But if so, be honest up front and don't string a customer along. This was not an urgent matter but BTR's lack of response was extremely poor.

I had wood damage on my French door & a rotten fascia board that needed to be addressed. The two men from BTR arrived on time, looked over the situation, and went to Home Depot to get the supplies. They returned quickly and got back to work removing decayed wood, replacing it with new trim and board, and repairing a crack above the door in a piece of wood. I had paint leftover from painting the exterior, so they painted the repaired area. They finished on time and I paid exactly what the estimate was. They cleaned up everything and asked me to check the work. It was very professionally done and I was happy with the repairs. I would definitely use them again.

Went okay until my computer began failing to send my emails, unknown to me. Prompt call after purchase to set appt. Estimator was pleasant. If provider had followed-up after sending the proposal, I might have known earlier that he had not received my email, but that's okay. May still use company at later time, but now have additional service person who can do the work while doing something else.

The price was reasonable and the work was excellent. Very professional. We're getting ready to have them do some additional work.

We purchased the Rotten Wood Big Deal and scheduled to have an estimate done. Kevin, from BTR Construction came out and took information for an estimate. I waited several days for the estimate and finally called the office and requested the estimate. The receptionist attempted to send the estimate by email. The estimate was not either sent correctly in the email or they were having computer issues. I called the office again and this time had it faxed. The estimate was reasonable. I made several phone calls to Kevin's phone and the office phone, but only received a call after I told them I would be looking for another service provider. I missed their call and called them right back. I left another message but was not contacted by them again. We were very disappointed that this service provider did not work out.

Went well. I wasn't home when they did the work.

BTR was expected to arrive at my house at 8am, they arrived around 7:30 to get ahead start, because it was expected to rain some time that day. It was a 3 men crew including the owner, Bill McHugh. It was pleasure meeting Bill. I admire and respect his profession. The crew was very nice and professional at all times. They took off all the old wood and masonite siding (siding that is no longer used on new homes) and replace it with High Density siding. It looks wonderful. My husband and I was responsible for providing the paint which I was afraid the color may not blend with rest of the house, but the crew did not seem concern. The chimney repair turn out wonderful. Bill stated that they do repairs like these all the time, so they have all the knowledge and expertise to do a good job. I do thank BTR for their service and time. It was well worth the money I paid. I also spoke to Bill about additional wood repairs around the entire house. I will definitely use BTR for future services.

Kevin was going to charge $200 to dump the metal and when I called the Fox Hole (I called twice) they said there is no charge for metal. I found someone that wants the metal so I don't need BTR to do anything at this time. Thanks anyway.

He charged me an extra $190 set up fee, which was not included in the fine print of the deal. I asked him by email to clarify this charge, with no response. I called and received a voicemail that he changed suddenly to reflect that he was out of the country. I don't trust this guy and I feel that because I am a single, older woman, he thought that the job was not worth his time and was trying to make whatever extra money he could on the job.

They were extremely hard to make contact with. I tried 6 or 7 different times. The estimate they gave me was fair but they never followed through to come out and do the work.
