Overall satisfaction...EXCELLENT......Forget looking anywhere...forget Geek Squad.....Brent was very knowledgable, pationate in what he does and a perfectionlist which I lked as he worked on the project as if it was his own. He stayed there as long as it took from 9am to 7pm but didnt even feel like it was that long as very nice frienly guy. Also calibrated my TV and gave me lot of knowledge on TVs which helped me decide my next TV to go with Panasonic Plasms which he calibrated as well with his experience in calibration lot of expensive equipments and now the picture looks great. No job is a small job for him regardless if he used to working on multi million dollar homes on the lake. I tooked all over service magic and yellow pages looking for somene who can mount the TVs. I also got estimaetes from general home improvement contractors who gave me $500 for just one TV and having to open th drywall and repatch as I had no power or cable outlet near the TV above the fire place. No issue for Brent. Just smarty used fishhooks through the crawl space to get the wires where we wanted without having to repaint etc. This is the first time I joined Angie list to look for service like this and i am very happy I found this vendor which is more like a friend. Definately would highly recommend to anyone. Have already lined up another project for him. Thanks. Hope you find this helpful.

They helped us run extra cable for our wii and told us what we would need to purchase in edition to get it to work.

I will be using them for my new media room that I will putting in later this year.

Kim and Payam are terrific. Kim very patiently worked with me as I tried to fit the various jobs into my schedule. Payam has a background in engineering and is a trained electrician. He installed a radiant barrier in my attic, and the effect is noticeable in my a/c and heating bills. He also updated a several decades old OnQ/alarm system. He's a techie and knows computer systems as well.

Went great. They came in under estimate, so Renee did a great job estimating. House is 2 story on slab, but does have attic space and room configuration that made the installation possible. The installers themselves were very professional and tidy. Where exposed wiring was necessary, it is neatly stapled; all ports are labeled and runs were tested. I now have the wiring I've wanted for 8 years. Thanks!!

Kim squeezed my job into the schedule and they installed everything as described. The bid was fair and reasonable and exactly what I wanted...I was not looking for very high end, and they gave me reasonable and high quality components and didn't overcharge me for installation. They arrived on schedule and did the work as described without tearing up any drywall or making a mess. They installed front and rear speakers, a sub woofer, receiver, and configured it all for me with a RF remote that required uploads from the manufacturer. They did have to come back once to get the remote working properly, but did this as promised. Pyram and Kim were flexible with my scheduling and re-bid on the job for me at least twice as I re-configured what I was asking them to do for me. I'm a huge fan and would use them for another job without calling anyone else.

As it has been in the past, my experience was wonderful. I seem to select really complicated light fixtures, and Payam is able to overcome design deficiencies in the fixtures to make my choices work. He is very accommodating of whatever throws a wrench in his process (my very curious dogs, a fire alarm in my building, tough-to-reach lights, etc.) I have recommended Simply Smart many times and look forward to continuing to do so to both friends and clients.

Kim and Payam, who did all the installation work with his younger brother, did an OUTSTANDING job. Their consultative and sensitive approach, technical expertise, timeliness, ability to meet their promises, and outstanding professionalism all contributed to making our experience an excellent one. Simply Smart Technology provided excellent customer service and even worked directly with our cabinet builder to make sure all the audio components would properly fit. When we decide to add additional components to our system, we will definitely work with Simply Smart Technology again! We love our new audio system, and it's extremely easy to use.

Overall it was a good experience and I would use them again. Rene was very professional. We had one issue where one of the phone lines didn't work, but they came back out the next day and quickly fixed it.

I hired Simply Smart Technology for a TV installation and learned through that experience that they do regular electrician-type work as well. I had some light fixtures that needed to be replaced and hired Payam and John to do the installation. Two of the light fixtures were non-standard and I knew that Payam and John would be able to deal with any issues that might arise during the installation. One of the light fixtures, a low-voltage monorail, was not able to be installed on their initial visit due to site limitations. They told me exactly what was wrong and what I needed to get from the manufacturer in order to make it work, then returned once the parts were available to complete the installation. I will definitely hire them again when I replace the remaining light fixtures in my flat. They are absolutely wonderful people--my dogs fell in love with them (they were very patient with the intense displays of affection) and I truly enjoyed every one of our interactions. I recommend them without reservation (and have already) and look forward to the next opportunity to hire them.

The experience of working with Kim and Payam (for selection and scheduling) and Payam and John (for installation) was a delight from start to finish. We went from an old big TV without cable and with multiple remotes to a large flat screen that needed to be viewable yet invisible. Kim and Payam listened to what we wanted and made recommendations that gave us what we needed--they were very good about putting options in context without pressuring us to upgrade beyond our needs. The installation was a great experience--Payam and John had to work around other contractors who were working in the same space at the same time, and with whom they had to share access keys. Even the other contractors loved them! I have recommended them already to clients (I am in real estate), and I have hired them again to install light fixtures (see report under other category). I trust them absolutely and look forward to working with them again as the need arises. They are wonderful people and experts at what they do.

We had a prewire setup for the LCD TV on the wall, just the wires and no pins at their ends.. We had a CRT TV and had a Audio Receiver that provided the video input to the TV... The DVD player, Satellite DVR box and the ceiling mounted speakers were all hooked up to the Audio Receiver. Payam and his bro came in and they checked what we had and what we needed. They also very patiently explained everything on what was needed to be done and answered to several of our (repeated) questions... They also carried their mobile on which they checked the product details of our Receiver (for the details that weren't there in its manual) to find out what they needed and I think that is a very handy stuff, instead of wondering whether something will work or not... They finally figured out the needed pins that went on the pre-wired setup and got our TV on the wall... They were very friendly and know-the-stuff kind of people and we will for sure call them for our other technology needs...

Kim, Payam and his entire crew were so knowledgeable about this cutting edge product. They were extremely professional, punctual and priced very competitively. It was wonderful working with the whole crew from the beginning of the project. Our initial meeting was extremely informative and Payam was honest about what we did and did not need as far as our project was concerned. I would absolutely work with them again for all of our technology needs.

We moved into a model home 8 years ago. The house has been prewired for a network, but was never used. And, thanks to the walls in the house containing metal studs, a wireless solution would not work. So, my son on one end of the house had his own DSL modem for his XBox, and I had a DSL modem in my study on the other side of the house. When one was on, the other had to be turned off. With the purchase of a new Blu-Ray player that could download movies, I thought it time to get this network working. The panel board for the phone system and the network system were originally set up very crazy, and I had trouble trying to get the modem to work. I contacted HTS, and over the phone, I was told that it should not be too much trouble to get it working, that an estimate would be about $75.00. They came out on time as promised and got right to work. 2 men looked over the patch panels, and found several wires that had to be reconnected. They then went and tested every single network line, to make sure they worked. They got the network up and running in a matter of 30 minutes. And true to their word, the total cost was $75.00. They recommended a new patch panel, as well as rewiring the entire closet, to make better sense and documentation. I have asked them for a quote on the work. This company did work as promised, and I look forward to working with them in the future

It went great and I'm so pleased!!! Prior to getting my 52' TV I started researching on who'd be good to do the installation over the fireplace. After checking Angie's list and looking at HST website I was impressed, plus they were local and close by. I spoke to the owner, Rene, late Friday afternoon about the job and sent him a photo of the fireplace during our conversation. Rene thought it would be a standard install and gave me a good idea of how much it would be while we were still on the phone. He then sent two of his employees over to confirm and check everything, and I had the quote in my hands within an hour after they left my house. Then I got my TV prior to the install only to watch the first movie and feeling like I was watching fireworks without any sound!!! I then called Rene and put everything on ice while I did some research on speakers/ subwoofers/ receivers, etc. I was back in the stone ages as far as technology goes, and I wanted to do it once and do it right! During all this time Rene and I corresponded often, he was very patient and informative, which helped me finally find what I needed at a fair price. Then one day three of his employees came and set up the TV and surround system flawlessly, TV setup on a tilted mount and receptacle installed with wires pulled thru, surround wires under the cross base connected to wall outlets, no mess or wires, then they vacuumed and cleaned up, and it hasn’t been the same since! My favorite part was the first movie we watched, my wife and son jumped out of their seats, it was awesome!!! I highly recommend HTS and I also wanted to point out something I learned later on is that they can purchase many of the products for you at competitive prices, and that can have many benefits later on. The HTS quote was exactly what I ended up paying, so that was great.

This is a family run business that is owned by a very nice and intelligent set of people. We began by visiting their house which served as a showcase for some of the things that they can accomplish. From there, we began to think about what type of things we would like in the new home. We were also able to have them brought in to do some of the things that the builder was providing anyway (alarm and central vac). That allowed us to integrate everything together. During the framing stage, they were there all of the time wiring the house for everything. They kept us apprised of all of our options, and they had a lot of great ideas on how to get things to work in synergy. Many days the builder had no one there, but these guys were always there. They worked many weekends and well into the evening (9 PM).It was an absolute pleasure to work with them. We started with basic stuff, but as we began to live with what we had installed, we realized how amazing it was to have all of the conveniece that the controls provided. We then added quite a bit more. We had many times when our electrician, project manager, or carpenters would fall short. They were frequently able to get around or actually fix the problems that were created by other subs. This house took 18 months to build, and it has been 9 months of continuing punch list stuff with the builders. Out of everything, Smart Home Now is the shining star of our experience. We would recommend them for ANYTHING. We got a very extensive system, but I wouldn't hesitate to call them for a much smaller job either. IT WILL BE DONE RIGHT!

I called them looking to have some coaxial and cat cable pulled to expand my structured wiring home network. They punctually arrived the next day and surveyed the job. After giving an honest try (1/2 hour), they advised me that it would require extensive dry wall work and that it would not be advisable. They were prepared to not charge me for the time (almost an hour after trying to make it work, talking me through the options and clean up) but I asked them to swap an existing voice line connection for a data connection which they quickly did (repairing a bad jack in the process), and only charged me for the hour, even though they were here a good 1 1/2. Great customer service on the phone, and the service technicians were skilled, clean, and very courteous. Highly recommend them.

Smart Home Automation is operated by a well educated, success software entrepreneur from Silicon Valley who gave up the tech world to get down and dirty doing what he loves -- making technology work in people's homes. Payem is a professional from start to finish. You do not have to worry about anything being left unfinished or partially done. We had to order some parts to complete the job which required about a two week wait. He was on top of getting back into the house on our busy schedule with the least disruption. I looked for many different contractors to do this job. Their company was by far the most knowledgeable, value for price, and honest-dependable from the ones that I reviewed in Charlotte. I would use them again and I will in my new home. Call me for a reference!!!

It went very well! They were responsive and sent someone right away to inspect our system; then, when we ultimately decided to use their services, they scheduled the repair to happen just days later. We were very comfortable and pleased with their knowledge, experience, and expertise. Payam came out both to inspect and to repair. Also, as an added bonus, Payam and his brother (who also came to repair) actually gave us some useful advice on a remodeling project we are working on. Very pleasant experience overall.
