Handyman Services--The English Handyman

Description of Work: This first job went well, fixing a door. After trying unsuccessfully to schedule the second job, painting a door, I have up. It is very hard to schudule time, and the asssistant doesn't return call. On occasion there is a response to email.

Description of Work: The English Handyman re-caulked our master tile bathroom. He did a very thorough and professional job! I would hire him again!

Description of Work: When he arrived, he was very nice and said he could do several of my projects in 2 days for the same deal he offered in one day. He botched one job and I had to pay $1100 to correct and redo it. He never finished the job I hired him to do and I attempted many times to contact him with no response. When I mentioned reviewing him on Angies list he agreed to come back but hasnt returned my calls. I gave up on him.

Description of Work: Worked on a cabinet in kitchen so that I could use it for additional space. He has been here on time to complete this project.

Description of Work: I really have to spend mo time getting to do the work I had hoped the Englishman would do so have no time to list projects.

Description of Work: He was hired to caulk areas around crown molding which had cracked due to lack of moisture and house settling and also to grout in showers where we had some cracks. He used the wrong color caulk in most areas of my home which left the moldings/ceilings looking dirty and muddy, and did a sloppy job as well, with a large amount of smearing the caulking on the ceiling in many areas. Additionally, he used the wrong material type in the showers and the wrong color although I had provided the information about what color the existing grout was when I made the appointment. I had to hire a professional for remediation in the showers which cost me more than twice the cost of the original work and I also had to spend approximately 10 hours of my own time to paint over the wrong color caulking. He was cheerful, pleasant, and punctual.

Description of Work: The tile in my shower was separating from the house settling and water was seeping into the cracks between the tile. The grout was eroded and dingy looking. Noel removed the damaged grout and re-grouted the shower. And he cleaned up behind himself.

Description of Work: I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for handyman services from this company and was EXTREMELY impressed. Noel contacted me within a matter of hours to thank me for purchasing the deal and to set up a time for him to come out to my home. He was very responsive and worked with me to find a convenient time for the both of us. Once he arrived, I wasn't there, but he had already begun to access the things I previously told him I wanted fix. My main item was a few broken fence panels from a bad wind storm that had completely come down. He told me what items I needed to get from Lowes. While I ran to Lowes, he started working. I asked him to: hang a large mirror, fix the fence and fence doors, and fix the gutter. Noel was very knowledgeable and offered many suggestions on solutions. At one point it started to rain heavily so he came in the house and began working on hanging the mirror. Meanwhile, I asked him to take a quick look at my gas fireplace (it leaks cold air in the house during the winter) - he said sure no problem. He checked it out and helped me figure out what to do.

Description of Work: I contacted Noel from Angie's list as I am new to the area. I needed someone to put together furniture and place curtains ,medicine cabinets and a few other honey do's.

Description of Work: Noel added 2 small sets of stairs to my deck, which had been built prior to my buying my home. On one of the hottest days of the summer, he dug the footings, secured with concrete, and completed the steps. He had come by, consulted on what I wanted, measured, then bought all the supplies prior to starting the work. He left a clean area, and the stairs look great. Not just plain boards, but attractive grooved treads that channel away the water to keep them from being slippery.
