Handyman Services--The English Handyman

I tried calling several times and never got a return call. I did not end up using the service.

I was very pleased with Noel's service. He has been hard to book because of his deal offered through Angie's List. But as a homeowner, I always have projects pending, so this did not bother me. He will be back soon to help me install a new door.

Noel was on time and professional. He is intelligent, conscientious and worked hard without breaks. He was innovative in addressing our "quirky" older house issues and accomplished much in the time allotted. I was pleased to find someone trustworthy who was multi-talented and able to help us with all of the things that we had let build up over the years. Of note is that his work has held up. Based on our positive experience, we hired him for more work beyond the "big deal" and were impressed with the quality of his work and his responsiveness for that project as well.

Most of the work the handyman performed had to be redone by us after left. 3 chandeliers were hung crookedly. A light and fan did not work after installation. Caulking did not take or looked too messy and had to be redone. The reglued shingle looks awful because the glue he used dried shiny and not clear. We feel he caused more work for us than was needed to be done in the first place. I would not recommend him nor would I hire him again.

From my first contact I knew what to expect in terms of schedulinig. This worked out quite well. I am very pleased withe the work and professiosnalism. I would not hesitate to use this provider, should a need arise.

I received a prompt call to schedule the work. Noel arrived about thirty minutes early, which was fine with me. I showed him all of the things I wanted done and he did the work in a quick and professional manner.

When Noel was done the wall looked great. You'd never know there was a leak there before. Noel is polite, courteous, and pleasant to be around. I would use him again and suggest him to all our friends and neighbors.

NOel was incredibly professional - prompt and courteous and knowledgeable. He may seem expensive by the hour but I have never had someone work so quickly yet so thoroughly in my home. By the job, he is priced extremely reasonably. On top of that he is courteous and funny and just a delight.

I purchased a $49 coupon for 1 hour of Professional Handyman Services last month. Once i received confirmation that my order was complete, i called the number given to shcedule my appointment. I did not receive a phone call back. I emailed the address given, did not receive an email back. I called again did not receieve a phone call back and called again and yes you guessed it, no phone call back. Because I figured the staff/person whoudl busy during the day i started callin the evening and early in the morning hoping someone would answet the phone. The calls always went straight to voicemail. I want my money back. Please advise as to who to secure a refund. You shoudl not be advertising this service. The previous reports must be made up.

I tried to contact him around the middle of June or early July. He did not return my first call or email. He finally returned with a voicemail a few weeks after. I returned his call and have not heard from him since.

Everything went quite well. Courteous, professional, prompt and willing to tackle anything.

As described it did not 'go' at all because the contractor was hard to contact and then never showed up.

They did a really nice job. They worked fast and worked hard. They showed up on time and the work was done very well.

Bought the Big Deal. 3 hours / $79. Seemed awesome. Contacted provider on 8/6/12. Was told "It will be into September before I can get to you". Did not return phone call, only returned one email. I asked via email when his earliest availability was... no response. So, I'll ask for my money back from the Big Deal. I understand stuff happens, but you shouldn't sell Big Deal's if you don't have the ability to get the work done.

Excellent experience with Noel; he is knowlegable about his work, thoroughly professional and courteous. Will definitely use him in the future.

I called Noel who gave me a convenient time and date. He came right on time and went right to work. The kitchen counter was a problem because I had caulked it myself with the wrong product, but he persevered and removed the old caulk. He cleaned up all areas before he left and showed me how to remove the grime between the tiles on my counter. The counter and bathtubs look great now.

I bought one of the "Angie's Deals" from Handyman Services for having my 11 year old master bathroom shower re-caulked, and a granite countertop in the kitchen caulked. The deal was for three hours of work for $79.00. I truly got my money's worth! Noel was very prompt, actually called me to see if he could come early, which worked out great for me. He went to work right away on the master bathroom shower. He was very professional, friendly, and the work he does is fantastic! Noel completely removed the old caulk in the shower, applied new caulk, and even caulked a couple of places around my garden tub that I had not noticed. He also did a great job with the kitchen countertop, sealing it with caulk against the wall. All the work completed was very high quality. He was also very good at making sure he cleaned up all the work areas completely before he left. I highly recommend Noel for any kind of handyman services. I plan to bring him back for some additional work I need done.

Noel who was very professional came and put together a basketball hoop. It only took about 2 hours and half hours. He did an excellent good job with assembling the basketball hoop. I will be using services in the near future for other projects. I would recommend him to anyone.

Noel was extremely professional throughout the whole process. He was extremely responsive over email while were were working out a good date for him to come over when I could be home from work to let him in. Noel arrived with all the tools necessary to perform the work. When he first arrived and I asked him spontaneously about the shower base he said he could either paint it of sand it down and we selected to sand it down. Noel went straight to work for about 2 hours working on that project. I dont think either of us realized how long it would take but Noel stuck with it and knocked it out. The result of his labor is a perfectly white and smooth like new shower base. It is so nice to have it like that again and so nice to not have to pay mega money to rip it out and replace it. After he finished the base, Noel replaced all the caulking and some of the bad glass seals. He did nice work on all of that as well. In the end, Noel charged us a modest $15 for the sandpaper and sealant which was not part of the caulking deal we had purchased. I thought it was extremely reasonable given the extra effort he went to for it. There is no question that the next project I can think of I will hire Noel to come back and knock it out for me. He was terrific at his work and very friendly as well. Thanks Noel!

The cracks in my driveway were getting wider so I hired Noel after reading a lot of good reviews on Angie's list. I was not disappointed. He arrived on time on Saturday and went right to work. I was so impressed with his work that I asked him to work on my flowerbed, which was in bad shape. He came the following week and brought with him several good shrubs and flowers. He cleaned up the flowerbed (removed 6-7 bags of mulch), planted the shrubs and flowers, and installed sprinkler system. The price I listed above includes $100 for shrubs and flowers. Noel is very professional and I am very satisfied with his work.

We bought a deal through Angie's List for several hours of work from Handyman Services. Noel installed a fan for us along with four shelves and he gave us estimates on a lot of other work. Everything he installed is sturdy and seems to be a very well done job. The fan needed a brace in between the joists, so that added some extra time to get the fan installed, but I think it was a good thing we had a pro install. Otherwise, I might have a big hole in my ceiling and fan on the floor right now! All in all he gets the job done.

Noel did an excellent job. He arrived on time. He was extremely knowledgable and informed me of exactly what was happening the whole time. I forgot to buy water supply lines, so while I went to the store (with the instructions he gave me for what I needed to pick up) he continued to work. After the job was completed he told me if I had any concerns to contact him. I did have a small leak under one of the sinks and I called him. He came out the next day (a Saturday) and fixed the problem for me. The problem it turned out was not something caused by his work. Even with that being the case, he helped me fix the issue at no cost (except for materials). Noel is great and he's now my "handyman". I will call him for all "small fixes" around my house.

He did all the little things that I needed done. We even had fun chatting while he was here. He's a very kind and helpful man and I will definitely call him the next time I need a handyman.

This handyman does great work with great care. We will recomend himt to our friends and neighbors.
