FORGE FENCE SYSTEMS

We scheduled an appointment for an estimate 2 weeks in advance. On the evening prior to the appt someone from Forge called and said they couldn't make it as they had double booked themselves. I called back to talk to someone to see what the issues were with the appt and Chuck (the owner) happened to answer the phone. I told him who I was and when my appt was. He just repeatedly told me that I wasn't on his schedule and he didn't know who was to come to my home. Then he said what is it you want. So I told him the type of fence I wanted, how long, how tall, etc. He said I will just give you a quote over the phone. Estimate: $4,000.00. He gave me the quote which was a joke as it was $1000 higher than all the others and then he said there was no need for anyone from his company to come out to see our home/project. He said good-bye. As I thought about it, I said to myself and there is no need to do business with someone who is rude and unprofessional. I would not recommend this company.

I first called Forge and left a message with my information. No one called after a week so I called again and spoke with a man I believe was the owner. He apologized and told me he would get someone to call me back to set up a appointment for an estimate. No one called back. I called the next week and spoke to Tina who promised she would call me back by the end of the day. Tina never called. I called back and was told that they wouldn't be able to help me out. I asked why and Tina told me they couldn't work with me on scheduling an appointment before ten A.M.. I tried to get the owners number to schedule directly with him but she didn't offer any way to contact him. The whole experience dealing with Tina was infuriating. It seemed as though she was covering for herself for forgetting to follow up. I was extremely disappointed that no one bothered to try and help or make things right. I couldn't believe they were on Angie's List. It's to bad they lost out on a 7500.00 fence.

Forge Fence were quick and inexpensive.

Overall a great experience. We initially had Chuck come out a year ago but decided at that time it was out of our price range. He located our quote from last year and there were minimal increases to the new quote. The process was a bit slow going at first, since we had to have the surveyor come out and then have the utilities marked. However, once those were out of the way, Chuck's guys had the job done in a day and a half. They were very professional and diligent about their work. They ran into some challenges having to install the fence around a few large trees and a shed, but they came up with a workable solution that looks good. The only snag was that they cut our cable when installing a post, but I think it was more the fault of Time Warner for not marking the location very well. Chuck and Ricky are extremely personable guys, and it was a pleasure to do business with Forge.

They did a great job. I'd give them an A+.

I called the company to request an estimate. A person answered the phone and told me they didn't mean to answer the phone and asked me to call back and leave my information on the answering machine and they would get back to me. They never called back.

It went very well. Before I even had a quote done, Chuck recommended I get a survey of my property done. It turned out my neighbors and I had completely mistaken one corner of my property. My sprinkler heads were four feet in one neighbor's lawn and another neighbor's fence was two feet on my property. Chuck agreed to work with my neighbor and move his fence in conjunction with building mine in order to save him money. The work crew was very efficient and hard working. The materials and installation were high quality.

It was a excellent experience. Chuck was prompt in returning my call and came out the same day. He gave me the estimate and got to work the next day. The fence was complete in only 2 days and looks great. Wonderful crew and will recommend to others!

Based on the high ratings this company was called for an estimate on a fence. My first call was answered with a promise to get back to me, which took place over a week later (after I assumed they were not interested). Came on site to do a quote. Gave good information and did an excellent job of answering my questions. Quote was written as a single number on the back of a business card. Not selected for the job because it was deemed they could not be trusted to do the work so a larger company who charged a small percentage more was selected.

Chuck was prompt, professional and competitive.

Chuck's crew was the most professional team of guys I've ever seen. They were so respectful and easy to get along with. They don't assume anything, but get the facts and question what they are not sure of. They strive for perfection and in my book did a perfect job. The job site was cleaned after perfectly. The crew is clean, courteous, respectful and I would not hesitate to have this company do any fencing job I might need in the future. I will recommend this company to anyone who needs any kind of fence job.

We were pleased with the whole process. Chuck is very personable and his team was very professional. Once they began work, they completed the fence in two days. The installation process and materials were both high quality. We would not hesitate to use Forge Fence Systems in the future.

Chuck was very responsive throughout the quoting phase (we had lots of questions and concerns) as well as during the demolition and installation. His guys were professional, and they worked for 2 1/2 days straight to get the job done. The fence looks nice. Our only issue is that the fence pickets were not consistently stacked with sides touching, so there are small gaps between pickets, which kind of defeats the purpose of a privacy fence. Chuck admitted it was simply human error, and although we felt that replacing the entire fence was too much to ask, we did ask that they replace the section that separates us from our immediate-next door neighbor. He quickly and kindly agreed. They repaired within days. We discovered a few warped boards and a faulty gate several weeks later, and Chuck responded promptly and repaired the issues within a couple weeks.

They twice said someone would call to arrange an appointment to see the fence and provide a written estimate. After two weeks, no one ever called.

Mr. Rogers returned my call promptly and emailed an estimate for installation. I replied to his email with another question which he promptly replied to. Forge's price for installation a 2 rail, split rail fence with wire was substantially higher than five other companies I received quotes on ($3.25 a foot higher on average). Mr. Rogers emailed and told me that the price is due to the quality of the craftsmanship with ''not hiring cheap labor and sending them out unsupervised.'' I felt that price to be a little extreme still.

Chuck was very punctual and responsive. Offered ideas and showed us photos of previous work that he had completed. He was approx. 2-3 weeks out on a start date and he always kept us informed and ended up starting sooner than we had expected. They were able to remove the old fence and completely install the new one in four days! They by far exceeded my expectations.

They did a great job, were real quick, and got the job done. They called me back right away and they were very pleasant to work with. Chuck was great to work with. They cut back the fence to where it should be, and they've really taken a burden off me.

It was a pleasure to work with Forge Fence. I had a few issues with the gate. Chuck and his crew came out, listened to my concerns, and fixed all issues very quickly and effectively. I would definitely hire them again.

Excellent company to work with. We have two giant dobermans and a pool and when we bought this house in Union County with no fence, our insurance company said we had to have a fence immediately. Chuck put a large crew on the job and they even worked Memorial Day. We have over an acre and a half and they put up a fence in about 3 days. I cannot say enough good stuff about them, they are fantastic to work with. I highly recommend them.

Call was going fine with Chuck when he told me the cost would be $900 including a minimum trip charge of $325.00. I let him know that another estimate I had received was significantly lower, hoping he may try to work with us on it. However he immediately took a bad attitude and told me that I was under no obligation with just a phone call and maybe I should go with the other company. I found it completely uncalled for and would not recommend this company.

Chuck was very responsive, always returning any call within minutes. His crew came out on a Saturday to remove the old fence and by Monday afternoon, the new fence was up and the debris removed. I had priced out the fence and his was the most reasonable and within the range I had set for the project.

The overall experience was excellent. Chuck came out and estimated the work. The next week he scheduled a work time. The crew was out early on the scheduled morning and had the old fence out by 10am. By 4pm they had the new fence completed and all the debris carted off. The fence looks good.

Just returned my call 3 weeks later.

Chuck and his employees know how to run a fencing business with professionalism and promptness. Chuck returned my call promptly and scheduled a consult and quote. He went beyond the call to return at his initiative to come back when my husband was available. His input was invaluable in helping us decide on the fence right for our family and our needs. His crew was as professional as he was. You can tell they take pride in their work and the results show. They did an excellent job on clean-up and follow-up. We would recommend them to anyone.

They were terrific. They built a facing on the inside of the fence so there is nothing to push outward, and the pipes in the ground are sunk deep inside larger pipes and cannot be moved by a dog. The boards are close together and there is nothing for the dog to watch. The company responded immediately and fixed my problem the same night so Goldie could use her yard when she felt like it.
