Clean Sweep Chimney Solutions

The gutters had not been cleaned in a couple of years so it costs more. They called to give an estimate of a new price and asked if I still wanted the work done. They cleaned on the spot. I called on a Thursday and they were able to perform work on a Monday. I was satisfied although they did leave too much gutter debris in my yard.

We used A Clean Sweep last year to clean our chimney and were happy with their work. He was very prompt. He was scheduled between 10:30 and 11:00 and showed up at 10:40. We have a chimney cap, but for a couple of months it has sounded like we had birds in the chimney. When he checked, he found a lot of droppings on the top of the cap but no damage to the cap. He explained that this was common, and birds sitting on top could sound like they were in the chimney. Since I wouldn't have known better, he could have told me it was damaged and charged to replace it.

Everyone was pleasant and helpful. I was given a choice of $1,300 for a custom made cap that would cover all 4 shafts, or $600 to cap them individually. I went with the 4 caps but later wished I had looked closer at the caps at Home Depot and did it myself. I have a very large chimney.

From what we could tell, they worked hard and did a good job. However, we did receive a follow up bid for replacing the lining in all of our chimneys. This seemed like a complete set up. The chimney sweep report indicated that we should not use any of our fireplaces until repair work is done. The repair bid is ridiculously high ($5000) and neither the materials nor labor cost are detailed out. So we are now left wondering whether we have to pay $5,000 or be "playing with fire" if we attempt to use any of our chimneys without repair. We need a second opinion. Any suggestions?

They were extremely polite and courteous and answered all my questions. Cleaned up after themselves and left no dirt or ash or lint anywhere.

I was able to speak to a person when I called, though I couldn't get an appointment for 3 weeks. On the scheduled day, the guys called ahead of time and were running early. They arrived and gave us an estimate that was certainly less than we feared it would be. An hour and a half later, the gutters were clean, there was no sign of debris on the ground, and they had stacked up the mesh gutter covers, per our request, and even boxed up the screws. They were very polite, and efficient. We will be calling them again, no doubt!

Company came out and gave me an estimate. The work was scheduled and performed the next day with no problems. Gutters were cleaned, rinsed, and the sidewalks, around the house were blown of debris from gutter cleaning. When I originally called for information about gutter cleaning, I learned that the company also performed chimney inspections/cleaning, so I scheduled that work as well.

On time, stayed in communication, respected the homeowners and their property, cleaned up well, and responded quickly to issues that came up.

They were polite and prompt and did their best to accommodate us in their schedule. I was gone while they performed the work, but we couldn't tell that they had been there, because they had cleaned up so well. We looked out our upstairs windows at the gutters and could tell they did a thorough job.

They were actually about 10 minutes late but called ahead, very polite and since it basically was an all day job I felt the price was fair and would use again.

Tony was on time and figured out the problem. I appreciated his extra effort in pulling out the washer/dryer from a narrow closet.

Good. Pleasant people. Left a little soot on hearth...not bad.

I called them in the morning and they were able to come out in a few hours. The two guys that came out were very professional and they did a good job. They did not push the new chimney cap, they offered it but didn't push it me, to me that is very important.

Cleaned gutter & down spout. Have had service from company before, & we are always satisfied w/work done. Nice job.

They were on time, put on booties to protect the heart of pine floors, lit our pilot lights, explained everything as we went along, made suggestions but did not try to sell me on additional service. He answered all my questions, and was very considerate of the areas where they were working.

Very professional. Gave good advice on how to prevent smoke from coming back into house. Would definitely use them in future for cleaning and repairs.

The men were very polite and on time. A clean Sweep even called between the two services to try to come at an earlier time to help me. It was a very favorable experience.

Two men arrived EARLY! (I called & told them if they could come early, they could.) :) They were nice, knowledgeable, & handled a chatty kid quite well.

The two men came on a Saturday in December. They were on time and careful about cleanliness. They gave a $10 Angie's List discount.

WONDERFUL. NO COMPLAINTS. DID A GOOD JOB. THEY FOUND AREAS THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED, AND EXPLAINED AREAS WE COULD DO OURSELVES IF NEEDED.

OVERALL THEY DID A GOOD JOB--THEY WORK ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL,COURTEOUS AND CLEAN. HOWEVER THEY BENT ONE OF THE SCREEN DOORS TO THE FIREPLACE A LITTLE.

I RECEIVED AN ESTIMATE FOR 5 HOURS @ $500. ACTUAL WAS ALMOST EXACTLY THAT. TC, EDDIE & SARGE DID THE WORK AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COURTEOUS. EDDIE CARRIED MY HANDY-VAC AROUND WITH HIM TO CLEAN UP ANY MESSES. WHEN FINISHED, THEY INFORMED ME OF A COUPLE REGISTERS THAT WEREN'T WORKING PROPERLY AND HOW TO REPLACE THEM. ALSO SOME TIPS ON KEEPING THE INTAKES CLEAN.

CONTRACTOR ARRIVED ON TIME AND PERFORMED THE WORK SATISFACTORILY. I TOLD HIM THAT I WAS EXPERIENCING PALMETTO BUGS AND WASPS COMING DOWN CHIMNEY AND REQUESTED A RECOMMENDATION. HE RECOMMENDED A SPRINGLOADED DAMPER AT THE TOP OF THE CHIMNEY WITH A PULL CHAIN TO SEAL CHIMNEY FOR $275. I'M NOT SURE IF THIS IS THE BEST APPROACH TO THE PROBLEM.
