Dryer Vent Wizard

It was great! Needed a lot of work because of the builder so the price was a little high, but i'll definitely use them again when I need the duct work cleaned out.

They're great to deal with. They were very neat, they covered the end of the ladder so they wouldn't hurt my siding, and they were terrific.

Serviceman arrived early, examined dryer, detailed work for my approval by explaining procedure and options; performed work. He could have cleaned up lint/debris around dryer a little better.

David Newton was on time. He assessed the cleaning & repair needs quickly, explained service options clearly, and performed the work efficiently!

He came, hooked up his machine and soon was done. The service was quick and there was no mess.

Called day before to confirm appointment. Call again 30 minutes before arrival. Tested dryer vaccuum capacity and inspected the vent line and dryer. Explained the services they offer and the cost. Determined to clean the entire system and replace transition vent from dryer to wall. Total service was about an 1 1/2 hours. Completed the work and cleaned up afterwards.

Mr Newton was on time knowledgeable about repairs and reasonable.

The appointment window was 11-3. Received call a little after 11 that Dave was 10 min out - it was really almost 40. Once tech was on site Dave did an excellent job of explaining & then completing the tasks.

David was great. Evaluated problem. Showed us pictures and quickly repaired the pipe. Went the extra mile. Put needed plate around opening in dryer closet. Worked after hours to complete the job. A+

David called exactly at the scheduled time and arrived when he said he would. He explained their procedure, inspected the dryer and vent and then reviewed an estimate for the job. He explained everything very thoroughly. Dryer works like a charm!

Excellent! Very professional, showed up at stated time, call 30 min ahead to say they were on the way. Explained recommended charges and only performed work agreed. One comment - phone consultation / phone rep needs to be trained to provide rough estimates and act with greater respect.

They are truly an outstanding company and the owner, David, really cares about your experience from start to finish! The technician was wonderful and made sure to go over everything he recommended along with the cost of each service before beginning the work. He was very knowledgeable and considerate. Each time he entered the home he made sure to put shoe covers on and handled the work as quickly and quietly as he could. It's rare that the owner of a company calls after the appointment is over to make sure that the job was done well but this is a top notch company that truly cares about its clients!!

Another contractor came to clean our dryer vent line, but after inspecting and discovering old plastic pipe with heavy lint build-up (used for 18 years but never cleaned!), they recommended against cleaning (plastic pipe with ridges could not be thoroughly cleaned, might crack due to age, etc.), and suggested replacing it with a metal line. They recommended Dryer Vent Wizard for installation. When I called Dryer Vent Wizard, they set up appointment for the next day between 2:00 and 6:00. As promised, the installer called about half an hour before arriving shortly after 4:00. David N. was especially pleasant, assessed the situation inside and outside, explained what he proposed to do. With our $10 Angie's List coupon, total price was $509. for new 25-foot pipe as well as outside vent cover and new hook-up to dryer . He installed pipe in 2-foot sections above the drop-ceiling in our basement -- mostly in a straight line but working around existing pipes and columns. I offered to move desks, other furniture and assorted clutter to provide better access to ceiling along his path, but he assured me he could reach everything. He completed the work within about 2 hours, cleaned everything up, and secured the old plastic pipe in a large plastic bag. Overall, a very pleasant experience, much smoother and less disruptive than expected. I would happily recommend Dryer Vent Wizard!

Excellent job. This is one of the best companies I have ever dealt with. I have used them several times before and have been very pleased with their work. Michael did a great job. He was very knowledgeable , efficient and so nice. He solved my problem completely. I'll continue to use their services and highly recommend them.

The service went great. The technician who came out had a trainee with him and explained what he and the trainee would be doing. They told what I needed and I okayed the work. The only problem I have is the price. The vent cleaning was $178 and then the lint tray was an additional $25. Plus there was a $49.00 service fee. I had the work done but feel it shouldn't have cost me almost $300 - Feel it should have been around $150-200 range.

David Newton was at our house for 2 plus hours to perform the work I described. He was very thorough, courteous, professional, and informative. Explained everything to us and took pictures of the vent before and after the maintenance to show the work that was done. The company responded within 24 hours of the my service request. Was very pleased and would use this company again.

I have NEVER had a MORE PROFESSIONAL TECH in my home for any kind of service than we did with Dryer Vent Wizard!!!! I was completely blown away by the compassion, understanding, manners and integrity of our visitor, David LaValle - absolutely THE most amazing service provider I've ever had! David went to great lengths to locate, clean and purge our dryer vent system. He took extreme care with our home, inside and out, even cleaning up every speck of lint that came out of the system into the yard. He removed shoes, gently moved items in the way, asked permission to do so before he did anything......I just cannot say enough about his intense sense of respect for his customers. He educated us about his process, told us about how to keep things running smoothly, and showed us PROOF at the end of his work that his service MORE than pays for his time spent at our home! Our dryer had an air flow reading (I think that is what he called it) of around "0.8" prior to his service, and was at almost 3.0 when done. Our dryer instantly worked in less than 1/2 the time to dry a full load of clothes! Thanks David, for being TOTALLY above and beyond! You will be our ONLY call when we need service for our dryer vent system!

He was very clean and professional. He knew what he was doing and did an outstanding job.

Technician was very professional. I knew this company was more expensive by checking Angies List but surprised by just how expensive they were. I felt that I wanted someone who knew what they were doing inside of a handyman cleaning out the dryer vent. My clothes dryer was taking longer and longer to dry clothes and I had the dryer fixed (or so I thought!) before I hired this company to take care of the vent. He did a good job explaining everything he was going to do and I was given the cost upfront. I think the only surprise in the pricing was that there was a $39 service charge (after $10 Angies LIst discount) even though I was getting the work done. Many companies will wave the service charge if you get the work done. Unfortunately the dryer is not drying clothes any quicker. I think I may need to replace the dryer but at least I will have a clean vent to hook it up to!
