Dryer Vent Wizard

My appointment was from 11-3. Technician came at 2:30. Tech was very friendly and I think the work was done throughly. The price was high, and he kept wanting to sell me additional services, like a warranty and new pipe on the back of my dryer. He told me my main problem was a bird's nest in the vent, although I never saw it when he did the cleaning. Overall, not bad, but I would suggest getting the estimate and then possibly a second opinion due to the high price.

Their price was unbelievable. I liked everything about them except their price. Their price was terrific. It was a complete shock as it was $175 for a dryer vent. I would use them again in the future if need be.

She did a great job. The price was reasonable. She did an excellent job. The owner came out but she has sold it since then so I don't know who is doing the work now. She and her husband owned the business at the time I used this company.

The performance of my dryer improved dramatically after service. It was more expensive than I expected but after a couple of months I have realized that it was well worth it!

Dave at dryer Vet wizard of Charlotte was recommended by someone else that I found on AL. He responded propmtly to my call, set a time to come out, called the night before to verify the appointment, called again prior to coming out and arrived on time. After inspecting the system, Dave gave me a complete rundown on the problem, proposed a solution, and quoted me a price that I agreed to pay. He completed the work in a timely manner, cleaned everything up, and went over everything again to make sure that I had no questions. It was a real pleasure to work with a real professional like Dave. I would, and will, use his services again.

Technician was on time, knowledgable, polite and professional - explained everything in detail before beginning any work. The pricing of services was higher than I expected, but the work was excellent

Dryer was taking way too long to dry clothes-- suspected dryer vent needed cleaning. He came out and confirmed it needed cleaning, and also informed us the cheap foil hose connecting the dryer to the wall was a fire hazard. He installed a new rigid metal connector and cleaned a PILE of lint out of the vent (we have a long 22' vent from dryer to outside). After completion he showed us the mph of the air traveling thru the vent had increased from 7.8 to 15 mph. He was very knowledgable about our (rare) dryer model and knew his service. He was prompt and cleaned up. Would definitely use him again. (I only gave him a B on price because everyone who performs this service is priced pretty high).

It went very well except for the surprise that the builder did a bad job on the vent to begin with.

They are a very good company, I like them very much. They did a good job. They were very clean, professional and nicely dressed in their uniforms. They were polite and knew what they were doing. They came out the same day that I called them. It was an okay price for the work and he could have used a longer ladder for what he did. I would recommend him.

I thought the issue was the machine, but it was because there was so much moisture in the vents under the house. They were very responsive and came the next day. They came in, completely replaced it and took almost all day to repair it. I was very surprised, it was such a big thing to do but they were very good.

Was visited by two techs (one in training, I think), who were very polite and professional. I had spoken to the owner, Emile, prior to the visit, and she thought that, given the distance between the dryer and the exterior wall, the duct cleaning should be around $125, varying somewhat by how dirty it was. After having inspected it, I was given a price of $150, well in excess of the high end of the phone estimate. In addition, if I did not have the work done, I was expected to pay a $39 inspection fee (waived in the event you have the work done). Accordingly, I felt compelled to have the work done at the higher-than-expected price, and that's not a good feeling! In addition, I thought that the installation of the transition duct and the exterior vent (at $89 and $58, respectively) was a very poor value considering the cost of the items and the minimal amount of installation time.

They were prompt and courteous when they came. They were dressed like service people, very professional. They cleaned up afterward and didn't leave a mess.

The company was punctual,actually early. However when tech arrived she immediately tried to cross sell a different dryer vent material.. I asked for a price and when she quoted me the price for the new materials she then informed me the cost of the cleaning was $159.00. I knew this is not what I was quoted ($118.00) . She said she would call the owner and double check because the owner had just charged her previous customer $130.00 when it should have been $400.00, she indicated they sometimes have mis-communication. She did confirm with the owner the price I was quoted. Very little lint was removed, even the tech was surprised how little there was... again I needed the more rigid vent material for a better improvement in air flow. In fact she may be correct, but I had lost all confidence at this point. She was here a total of 15 minutes (including time it took to confirm the correct price)- so I don't feel I received a good value for my money and very little lint removed. I was never told that I was not up to NC code or that I had a potential fire hazard. I was told that I would most likely get improved efficiency with my dryer if I switched to a more rigid dryer vent. And as far as making me a satisfied customer, I have not heard a word from the company. Bottom line, if the technician had informed me of the code violation and I had more confidence in the company, I would have purchased the product.

They are very good. They bring your dryer run up to cold. She also gave me a discount and they are excellent.

They do good quality work. They guarantee everything they do and I'll use them again.

Work was done as promised and the technician was professional. The price was on the high end of what I expected but went ahead with it anyway since she was there and getting estimates for a project of this magnitude is inefficient. The only criticism I have is the old vent pipe was not removed from the crawl space and discarded.

Everything went well and the difference was seen immediately. My questions were answered and the rep was professional while in my home.

They were very professional and they were on time. They were quick, they worked fast and gave us an exact price. I would recommend them very highly to others. Just very nice and friendly to talk to and work with.

Holly arrived promptly and did a great job. She suggested replacing a flex foil hose with a safer rigid hose. The price for changing the hose seemed pricey, $89, but I didn't call different companies to check prices, so it might be a typical charge. I'll probably do the job myself next time since I have a pretty simple setup, but I'd call them again if I had a more difficult setup, or for HVAC duct cleaning. They did a great job and they know what they're doing. I'm rating a B for price, but I didn't call other companies for quotes.

I was really impressed with what a good job she did! She did a better job than any other technician we have ever had. They were early to arrive and used shoe covers. They let us know the price and the repair needs before they started. She noticed the washing machine hoses needed replacing, and took care of that was well. The insurance company had informed us of that about a year ago, but we never followed through. It was nice that she had the hoses with her to do the repair then and there.

We tried to clean our vents ourselves by snaking the line and using a leaf blower. We had birds nests in our vent and who knows how much dog hair(we have two large, shedding dogs). We were able to dislodge some of the debris, but could see there was still a lot remaining so we called Dryer Vent Wizard. They removed an entire lawn size trash bag full of lint and other debris! We were very pleased with Dryer Vent Wizard's service. The technician, Emilie, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She arrived on time and performed the work quickly and efficiently. Prior to this service our dryer was taking an average of 140 minutes to dry a normal size load of laundry. After Dryer Vent Wizard service, our drying time was cut in half! We'll save money on our energy bill and it's more gentle on our clothes. After hearing about the danger of fires related to clogged dryer vents; we feel so much safer knowing that our vents are clean! I can't say enough good things about their service!
