Call 704-886-7078 to schedule an appointment. Calls are routed to our national franchise Scheduling Center while we are on the job for faster scheduling. Our Scheduling Center is available from 8:30 AM Mon-Fri and until 2:00 PM on Saturdays. Dryer Vent Wizard was established in 2004 to meet the needs of a very serious problem that is often overlooked by most people. Dryer fires are one of the leading causes of home fires today. We work exclusively with, and specialize in dryer vents alone. A $49 service/ inspection fee is charged to each job. Post inspection a written proposal is given to the customer, along with any suggestions of improvements, and the work is performed at that time. Clogged dryer vents cause dryers to operate inefficiently wasting time and hundreds of dollars a year in energy bills for the average household. We work hard to keep our services reliable and affordable. Our professionals will come to your home on a scheduled day. Dave, the Service Technician, arrived on time and thoroughly inspected the 'old' hose and dryer vent system. He explained to me how efficient and safe a new, improved and more quality dryer vent system was recommended . Dave worked very hard and thoroughly installed a new dryer vent and explained to me any questions I might have.
Description of Work: Dave, the service technician, inspected the old dryer vent (hose) that had lost its effectiveness fully drying clothers and towels and explained to me, why a newer and more efficient needed to be installed for safety reasons.

I could not be more pleased. Before the cleaning it took several dryer cycles to dry my clothes. Now they are finished in less than one cycle! I only wish I'd thought of this earlier. Everything about this job (responsiveness, on time arrival, speed of work) made me very very happy.
Description of Work: The serviceman surveyed my dryer location, asked to see the access to the attic, checked the connection from the dryer to the vent and the washer connection. I asked to have the washer hoses and dryer connection replaced and advised him where the dryer vent exited the roof. He first checked access to the vent on the 2nd story roof, scrambled up there and measured the air speed coming out of the vent with the dryer running (7 mph). He replaced the dryer connection with a solid metal vent and the rubber washer hoses with stainless steel. He cleaned up behind the dryer before putting it back, then went back on the roof and cleaned the vent with a snake because dryer lint sticks to the sides of the vent and doesn't come out well by blowing. Final air speed after cleaning was 20.4 mph.

David was prompt and extremely helpful. He explained everything clearly, and his work was outstanding. Our dryer used to take two cycles to dry even the smallest of loads, and we haven't had to dry more than once since David cleaned the vent.
Description of Work: Cleaned dryer vent and inside dryer lint trap area, installednew vent cover outside, and new flex hose from dryer to vent.

Went very, very well from start to finish. Punctual, professional and very courteous. Would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends/neighbors.

Overall pleased with the service done. Would definitely recommend Dave and the company.
Description of Work: Dave was on time and very professional. He explained that I really didn't need a cleaning, but gave me a credit toward another service. He pointed out that the foil tubing used for venting was a fire hazard and should be replaced with proper metal tubing. I went ahead and had him install a new metal tube and he also still cleaned the dryer basket as well. The cost was just an additional $28 which I felt was fair. Saved me time and energy doing it myself! Good job!

We felt the company did a great Job!!
Description of Work: Cleaned dryer vents but I guess we had the wrong type of hose running from dryer and it wasn't to code ( Not Real Sure that was the case my wife was there not I ). That is the only reason the rating was a B on the price because it wasn't that much of a savings once they sold us a different Hose.

So many consumers don't realize that foil and plastic venting are not code compliant and are actually considered to be a fire hazard by dryer manufacturers, Section M1502.4 of the South Carolina Mechanical Code, Section 504.6 of the North Carolina Mechanical code AND Section 112.1 of the State Fire Code. As a matter of fact the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) just released their 2012 "HOME FIRES INVOLVING CLOTHES DRYERS OR WASHING MACHINES" Report last month. It states: In 2006-2010, there were 16,950 home structure fires per year reported to U.S. fire departments where clothes dryers or washing machines were the equipment involved in ignition, with associated annual losses of 34 civilian deaths, 430 civilian injuries, and $209 million in direct property damage. Dryers alone accounted for 92% of these fires and 87% of the reported deaths. The leading factor contributing to ignition was failure to clean. We only install code-compliant materials and as the building codes change - so do the parts we install...to keep homes safe in case of a dryer fire. It was a pleasure servicing you. Happy Drying! The whole thing went very well.
Description of Work: The young man who came to fix and clean our dryer vent was the owner's son (sorry, I forget his name). He was very professional and filled me in on everything that needed to be done. Once the work was agreed on he completed it quickly and with quality.
