Generally they showed up when they were supposed to and did a good job. With their recommendations for watering and cutting plus the treatments my lawn improved. However, whenever there was a problem the did nothing to correct it. Aeration and over seeding was done poorly (they missed many areas). The work was guaranteed by Scotts and the customer service manager came out and agreed it was not done right. They never did anything in two years to correct it or retreat it although I called them repeatedly. Another time the tech spilled a large amount of dry chemical on the grass in one spot and did not clean it up. I scraped it up as best I could, but it killed the grass in that spot and took more than two years to begin to grow back. The customer service manager came out to look at it when it happened and refused to take responsibility for it.

They were good. We just started using them a few months and will continue to use them.

My yard was a real mess and that's when I decided to get some professional help and so far I have been impressed with them. They are courteous, thorough and they leave a note for me explaining what to do. They also come twice a year to do reseeding.

The aerating and over seeding went fine. However, although the "Closed Gates" checkbox was checked by the technician, our side gate on our backyard fence was left wide open. My dog was let outside when I got home and I noticed she wasn't around after a while - I walked outside and noticed that the gate was wide open and my dog was nowhere to be found. After 2 hours of searching for my dog, I finally found her 3 blocks away roaming the streets. I called the local office, spoke with a manager who offered very little remorse for what had happened and simply said that he'd make sure there was a note stating to keep the gate closed for the future. As I walked back outside again to make sure the other gate was closed, I noticed that one of the spokes in my aluminum fence was completely dented in, most likely from being rammed by an aerator. Of course, no note was left about the accident - very unprofessional. Needless to say, I called corporate and canceled my account.

Pretty good service. They show up when they say they will, and do what they say they will. My one beef is that they didn't seem to actually look at my lawn when treating it. I had huge broad leaf weeds springing up and when I pointed them out to the guy, he said he'd make a note of it and they would treat it next month - if the weeds didn't die of natural causes (colder fall weather) first! I was less than impressed that nobody had noted this very obvious weed growth already. I was less than impressed. In general, I find the big flaw with these companies is that their price and service is based on a regimen of weed treatments and pest treatments and so on, pre-determined by a single examination in spring and without regard for what the lawn actually needs (i.e. new weeds) on a continuing basis. I would much rather deal with a company that said, "Tell you what - you give us $60 a month and we'll make sure your lawn looks good," than delivering services that might not be necessary.

I've been very pleased with the treatments applied to my grass, but when I hired them for aeration and overseeding I was very disappointed. They didn't aerate everywhere and didn't even come close to overseeding.

MY LAWN HAS REALLY GREENED UP QUICKLY THIS YEAR. IT HASN'T BEEN THIS GREEN AND HEALTHY ANY OTHER YEAR THIS EARLY. IT LOOKS REALLY BEAUTIFUL. I AM REALLY PLEASED WITH THE WORK THEY DO. THEY REALLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

THE YARD LOOKS PRETTY GOOD SO FAR. I HAVE NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM ABOUT THE WORK. THE LAST TIME THEY CAME WAS ABOUT TWO MONTHS AGO SO THEY SHOULD BE BACK SOON.

WE CHOSE THIS COMPANY FROM THE PHONE BOOK. THE APPEARANCE OF OUR YARD HAS IMPROVED TREMENDOUSLY. AFTER THEY NOTIFY YOU OF YOUR APPOINTMENT, THEY ARE PROMPT AND PROFESSIONAL.

I've used this company since last fall, but I plan to switch to a new company to begin treatment. They charge for a full yard treatment, yet they have only treated the back yard 2 times (when I've been home). When I'm not home they skip it.

WE HAVE USED SCOTT'S FOR REGULAR LAWN FERTILIZATION AND WEED CONTROL FOR ABOUT A YEAR. THEY COME AND APPLY FERTILIZER AND WEED CONTROL PRODUCTS AS APPROPRIATE. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON SCHEDULE AND ARE EASY TO WORK WITH. FOR THE AERATING AND SEEDING, HAD TO RESCHEDULE A COUPLE TIMES BECAUSE OF RAIN, BUT THEY CALLED AND LET ME KNOW THEIR PLANS EACH TIME. THEY CAME WHEN I WASN'T HOME AND LEFT A BILL. I HAVE BEEN PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS AND, SO FAR, WE ARE HAPPY WITH THEIR WORK.

THEY CAME OUT WHEN WE WERE OUT OF TOWN AND LEFT AN ESTIMATE IN OUR MAILBOX. WE MIGHT HAVE GONE WITH THEM, BUT QUEEN CITY FOLLOWED UP THEIR ESTIMATE WITH A PHONE CALL TO SEE IF WE WERE INTERESTED IN SERVICE, SO I JUST WENT WITH THEM INSTEAD. THEY WERE A LITTLE LESS EXPENSIVE PER TREATMENT AS WELL.

MY LAWN IS A COMPLETE DISASTER. DESPITE HIRING THE COMPANY IN JAN, NO PRE-EMERGENT WAS APPLIED UNTIL MARCH, AND THEN IT WAS DONE IN THE RAIN. I HAVE WEEDS AND CRABGRASS EVERYWHERE. CALLED TO REQUEST RE-TREAT AND MANGER ''COULDN'T SEE ANY PROBLEMS''. I DECIDED TO GIVE THEM A SECOND CHANCE, BUT AFTER THE NEXT TWO TREATMENTS WERE APPLIED WITH THUNDERCLOUDS LOOMING (AND RAIN WASHING AWAY THE PRODUCT WITHIN AN HOUR OF TREATMENT,) I HAD ENOUGH. I TREATED MY OWN LAWN FOR 5 YEARS AT HALF THE PRICE, AND IT LOOKED 10 TIMES BETTER.

WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THEM. THEY DO A NICE JOB. THEY HAVE COMPLETELY TURNED OUR LAWN AROUND.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB, AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. OUR YARD LOOKS REALLY GOOD. WE HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED AND ARE GOING TO CONTINUE USING THEM.

TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO, I HIRED SCOTT'S TO TREAT MY LAWN. I ASKED ONLY THAT THEY COME WHEN SOMEONE WAS HOME, BECAUSE WE HAVE AN OUTSIDE DOG WITH AN ELECTRICAL FENCE WHO DOESN'T LIKE TO COME INSIDE. IN THE FIRST YEAR, MY RESULTS WERE GREAT. HOWEVER, LAST YEAR THE SERVICE BEGAN TO DECLINE. THREE TECHNICIANS LATER, I AM STILL EXPLAINING OVER AND OVER WHAT TIMES OF DAY I CAN ACCOMMODATE THEIR TREATMENTS. MEANWHILE, MY YARD, DESPITE REGULAR WATERING AND CARE, NOW LOOKS WORSE THAN IT DID WHEN WE STARTED. IT IS A SNARL OF WEEDS. I WOULD HAVE FOUND IT MORE SATISFYING TO SET FIRE TO THE WHOLE PILE OF CASH THAN TO HAVE WORKED SO HARD AND SPENT SO MUCH TO END UP WITH NOTHING.

THE GRASS HAS STAYED THICK AND GREEN THIS SEASON AND THE CLOVER IN THE LAWN IS GONE.

THE PROGRAM I'M ON INCLUDES 6 ANNUAL TREATMENTS FOR WHICH I PAY PER APPLICATION. IF I SEE ANY PROBLEMS THEY HAVE ALWAYS RESPONDED BY COMING OUT WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS (THERE'S NO EXTRA CHARGE).

CALLED AND REQUESTED AN ESTIMATE. IT TOOK ANOTHER PHONE CALL AND SEVERAL WEEKS PASSED BEFORE ANYONE SHOWED UP.

WE HIRED SCOTT'S LAWN SERVICE FOR OUR LAWN AND OUR TREE AND SHRUB SERVICE WHEN WE MOVED INTO OUR HOME WHICH HAD BEEN VACANT FOR 15 MONTHS. THE GRASS WAS NOT IN GOOD CONDITION. AFTER SEVERAL VISITS FROM SCOTTS, OUR GRASS TURNED BROWN. IT TURNS OUT THAT WE HAD BROWN PATCH DISEASE LIKE MANY OTHERS FROM ALL OF THE RAIN WE RECEIVED OVER THE SUMMER. STILL, OUR GRASS CONTINUED TO GET WORSE AND WORSE. THEN WE WERE TOLD THAT OUR PINE TREES HAD PINE BARK BEETLES AND THAT WE COULD CHOOSE TO TRY TO SAVE THEM WITH INJECTIONS. WE CHOSE TO TRY AND THAT WAS APPROX. $200. THEY ARE DYING. OUT OF FRUSTRATION, WE ENDED UP TEARING OUT THE ENTIRE LAWN AND RESEEDING (LIME, SEED AND FERTILIZER). THE LAWN LOOKS AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL AND PLUSH, AND WE ARE GROWING GRASS IN AREAS THAT SCOTT'S TOLD US WE WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO.

COULD BE CHEAPER BUT MY LAWN NEEDED SERIOUS HELP. COSTS ABOUT A PENNY A SQUARE FOOT FOR MONTHLY TREATMENTS. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN RESPONSIVE AT ALL FROM BEGINNING IN REQUESTING A QUOTE TO FOLLOW-UP ON MISSED AREAS DURING REGULAR SERVICE. HAVE USED THEM FOR ABOUT TWO MONTHS NOW AND I WILL GIVE THEM ONE MORE TO TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE. IF NO RESPONSE, WILL LET THEM GO. DISAPPOINTING TO SEE CONSIDERING HOW MANY OTHER POSITIVE REVIEWS THEY HAVE HAD.THEY SIMPLY HAVE NOT BEEN RESPONSIVE SO FAR...THEY MAY HAVE TOO MUCH BUSINESS OR MAYBE I HAVE A BAD EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY ACCOUNT. I WISH THEY WOULD SIMPLY BE MORE RESPONSIVE AND THOROUGH IN THEIR DUTIES.

THERE IS A SERIOUS COMMUNICATION PROBLEM WITH THIS COMPANY. I GET THE FEELING THE LEFT HAND DOESN'T KNOW WHAT THE RIGHT HAND IS DOING.

INITIAL EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY WAS EXCELLENT BUT MY FINAL TEST OF THIS COMPANY WILL BE IN THE FALL, AFTER ''CRAB GRASS SEASON''!

REPLACED TRUE GREEN WITH SCOTT''S BECAUSE MY YARD LOOKED TERRIBLE. THEY HAVE BEEN DOING THE WORK FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS AND MY LAWN LOOKS MARVELOUS. EVEN MY NEIGHBORS ARE COMPLIMENTING ME ON HOW GOOD THE LAWN LOOKS.

THEY AREN''T TERRA SYSTEMS ANYMORE. THEY HAVE BECOME SCOTT''S LAWN SERVICE.
