Kikers Tree Service & Stump Removal

I called them again this Monday for tree removal in or rental property and I haven?t heard from them yet. They were recommended by a friend. They were very careful not to drop any of the big pieces to the ground. However, once they dropped a piece on the house, but it didn?t cause much damage. They were pricey, but overall they were good and it seemed reasonable.

These guys are great! Very responsive and prompt in scheduling.

Disappointed we never received a call back as promised. This was especially frustrating since we were trying to get this done during one week of vacation time.

They are prompt and they stack the wood for us. When they removed our trees, they took everything out including the stump. I didn?t have to worry about a thing. They were punctual and have good personalities. They are respectful.

Having seen this companies workforce, I knew a good deal about cleanliness, equipment etc. before hiring. I also checked neighbors before and after. I did contact several others not on Angie's List but "certified" types or with certified arborist on staff that didn't even reply. Another was honest gardener tree care that was on Angie's List was very prompt answered call but was equipped to do my job.

His price was by far the most reasonable we found. We think he can keep prices low by selling the firewood from the trees he takes down. He was punctual and responsive. He had a professional team that worked quickly and safely. We are very pleased with the results.

We had two large dead trees in the front yard of a rental house. A representative came and gave an estimate for cutting down the two trees and removal of all the wood. They came when scheduled and did an excellent job - the yard was left clean and free of debris.

Mr. Kiker responded right away to the phone message left for him. He came out the next morning and gave us a price for the work we requested. He waited until the yard was sufficiently dried before he brought his heavy equipment in so the yard would not be suffer any more than need be. When they started the work, they worked all day and came back the next morning to complete the work. We kept adding trees and bushes to be taken down, but the added price was very reasonable. Mr. Kiker and his crew has done work for five other families on our street and came highly recommended by them. Mr. Kiker was very professional and we would highly recommend his company for any job regarding trees and bushes you want done.

They were prompt at returning my call and delivering the firewood. I asked if the firewood was seasoned and he assured me that it was and ready to be used; however, we have had about 5-6 fires with this wood and it is clearly NOT seasoned. While all of the other kindling around the logs burns just fine, the wood that we received just smokes and whistles but never produces a flame. We have 2 stacks of wood outside (one that is covered with a tarp and one that is not) and we have not had luck with either stack. While it may be just fine next winter, that is not what we bought it for.

Although they were not able to make it for the initial date/time that was set, they did call to reschedule. The firewood was delivered on a Sunday afternoon, and I did not even realize it had been delivered since I was not there at that time. The great thing was that the wood was neatly stacked on the stand, and our stand is a good 50 feet away from the driveway. The quality of the wood also looks good. Only when they called me to request payment, I realized that the wood had already been delivered, and I did not even notice it. Would highly recommend.

Good-they do good work for a fair price.

The service was great. My call was answered on the first try. Scheduling was very flexible and quick. And, the wood was neatly stacked right where I requested.

They came out the next day with a truck load of firewood. They stacked it themselves! The wood was cut to fit our fireplace and the wood looked dry. Their price was reasonable too. They were really helpful and professional as well.

Delivered on agreed upon date and time, split into appropriate sizes.

They did a great job, worked fast and left the site clean when they left. I would use them again.

It went well. This was the 3rd time we used Kiker and it was by far the largest job we ever gave them. The whole job took 2 full days with a crew of 5-7. They cut down all the trees and threw in a few that we later added. We ground stumps and even some extra ones that they didn't even cause. We also added another part of the yard later and they accommodated us. As things were shaping up, we asked them to trim some other trees and they did that as well. They did knick one large pine tree, but they put some protective seal on that area. They also broke one small landscaping light but it wasn't enough to really bother telling them about because their price is so much cheaper than anyone else. We thought what's one small landscaping light when we're saving $10K from what other tree services quoted us!

If you want the cheapest bid, Eddie Kiker might be for you. If you want to have work done with any degree of certainty, he certainly isn't the guy. I certainly would never consider having anything to do with him again!

Service was so-so. Called first number got wife and then had to recall cell phone number. Delivered wood one day later than promised. Wood was delivered in the light rain. When I showed them where to stack it (about 20 feet from back of the truck, the worker seemed bothered. I can't judge the quality of the wood because it got wet from the rain.

Polite, on time, stacked wood where requested (in drive way), made sure stack was far enough away from garage doors as not to inflict damage. I will use him again.

THE ESTIMATE HAPPENED WITH GREAT EASE AND PROMPTNESS. GETTING THE WORK TO HAPPEN WHEN ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED WAS ANOTHER STORY. WE FOLLOWED UP WITH A CALL TO RESCHEDULE AFTER THE FIRST NO-SHOW. IT WAS THEN SCHEDULED FOR A WEEK LATER. THAT DAY WAS RAINY. WE RECEIVED NO CALL. THREE DAYS LATER, WE FOLLOWED UP WITH ANOTHER CALL. HE CAME OUT TO CHECK AND SEE IF IT WAS TOO WET OR NOT. THE NEXT DAY THE WORK BEGAN. WE FEEL THAT THIS COMPANY COULD HAVE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE BY CALLING TO RESCHEDULE WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO BE UNABLE TO COME AS SCHEDULED. THEY DID A NICE JOB GETTING THE TREES DOWN, HAULED AWAY AND STUMPS GROUND WITHOUT DAMAGING ANYTHING MAJOR (HOUSE, POOL, WELL ETC.). 3 TREES WERE VERY BIG. THEY DID, HOWEVER, DAMAGED A LOT OF NEIGHBORING TREES IN THE PROCESS. WE WERE NOT EXPECTING THAT. THEY RETURNED THE NEXT DAY AND SPRAYED BLACK PAINT ON THE BARE AREAS OF THE DAMAGED TRUNKS. WE KNEW FROM A PREVIOUS CONVERSATION WITH AN ARBORIST YEARS AGO THAT THIS IS OF NO HELP.

I CALLED MR. KIKER EARLIER THIS WEEK AND HE SAID HE WOULD BE OUT THE END OF THIS WEEK OR EARLY NEXT WEEK. HE CALLED TODAY (FRIDAY) TO SAY THEY WOULD BE HERE IN 20 MINUTES. STACKED A NICE 1/2 CORD OF WOOD AT THE END OF OUR DRIVE. AN EXTRA $10 PER PERSON (TWO DELIVERY PEOPLE) IF WE WANTED IT PLACED IN THE LOG STAND WE HAVE IN THE YARD.

GIVES A WINDOW OF WHEN HE'S GOING TO BE THERE. DOES A GREAT JOB. LEAVES INVOICE IN MAILBOX. HE LEFT THE TREE IN THE WOODS (THAT'S WHY THE PRICE WAS SO LOW).

EVERYTHING STARTED OUT GREAT--THEY WERE PROMPT AT RETURNING CALLS AND GETTING US AN ESTIMATE. HOWEVER HE DIDN'T SHOW UP TO DO THE WORK ON THE SCHEDULED DAY. MY HUSBAND HAD TO CALL HIM TO SEE WHY AND HE SAID IT WAS BECAUSE HE HAD TO FINISH ANOTHER JOB. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE WE HAD PLANNED TO USE THE LONG HOLIDAY WEEKEND TO RE-LANDSCAPE AND CLEAN UP FROM THE TREE REMOVAL. HE APOLOGIZED AND AGREED TO COME THE FOLLOWING WEEK. MY HUSBAND CALLED A DAY IN ADVANCE TO CONFIRM THAT HE WOULD BE COMING. HE DIDN'T REMEMBER WHO MY HUSBAND WAS OR WHAT THE JOB WAS GOING TO BE. HE SAID HE COULDN'T DO THE JOB THIS WEEK EITHER BECAUSE OF A POTENTIAL INJURY. WE DECLINED TO USE THEIR SERVICE BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF RESPONSE ON THEIR PART AND RESPECT FOR OUR SCHEDULES AND TIME. I UNDERSTAND THINGS CAN CHANGE, BUT CONTACT AND RESCHEDULING SHOULD HAVE BEEN HIS INITIATIVE, NOT OURS.

THE WOOD IS CLEAN, THE SIZE IS PERFECT AND IT WILL MAKE EXCELLENT FIREWOOD NEXT SEASON. HE STACKS A VERY NEAT AND TIGHT PILE. IT TOOK ONE PHONE CALL. HE DELIVERED ON TIME! I WILL DEFINITELY PURCHASE FROM MR. KIKER AGAIN. MY FIREWOOD EXPECTATIONS WERE MET 100%. PRODUCT WAS REASONABLY PRICED. HE IS A VERY HARD WORKER. HE'S THERE TO DO A JOB AND GET PAID NOT HAVE A CONVERSATION. I RESPECT THAT!
