Kikers Tree Service & Stump Removal

Travis Kikers’ crew came in cut down the tree, cleaned, raked up all debris that was in the yard and did a great job. This is the second time that I have used Kikers and I highly recommend their services.

I would highly recommend Kiker’s Tree Service. They were efficient, affordable and polite. I had a total of 6 quotes to get trees trimmed and taken down. Kiker’s Tree Service came out to be much lower in price, then the others. Travis was a pleasure to work with, he made the process easy and comfortable. The staff was professional and communicated through out the day. The team finished a big project in one day. They were all knowledgeable and friendly and they cleaned up perfectly. I even added extra stuff to the project the day of the job. They were very accommodating with reasonable pricing. I would certainly use then again for future projects. You will be total satisfied with the results you will get.

Kikers Tree Service arrived on 07-25-2019 and began working immediately. They cut down 7 trees that were huge. Four trees at least 100' or more. This was our 3rd time using Kikers Tree Service and each time we are pleased. After calling other tree services we decided Kikers was the one that could best handle our needs. They cleared all debris and blew off our deck and patio. They were precise and orderly. We had the trees removed due to storms. During a recent storm one tree lost limbs that fell on our roof and fence. We were very fortunate no roof damage only satellite dish damage.

Hired them twice a few years ago and they did a great job. I have moved and wanted to use them again. Left multiple messages through website, email, phone and never received a reply. Gave work to someone else

No problems. Job was done quickly and satisfactorily.

After 4 or 5 no shows, I gave up. Unfortunate, he did a good job for me a few years ago.

I called to get an estimate. Was told he would be at my home within an hour. An hour and a half later still no one came. Called back. He did come in about 15 minutes that time. He gave me an estimate and I accepted. He said they should be able to schedule my job for the end of the week. I never heard from him and he never called. I tried to call numerous times and never got a call back. Finally the end of the next week I got a call saying they were on their way to my house. I told him to go ahead and do it. Only because I had contacted another tree service and they never even showed up for even an estimate. They did an okay job. Cleaned up the tree debris pretty well. But the workers left a water bottle and an apple core laying in my yard.They also parked one of their trucks in the yard and apparently left it running and killed the grass underneath it. Also, I gave them a check but they did not bother to give me a receipt. I would never hire them again.

I have had Kiker provide service several times and have always thought they did a good job.

Set appointment they never bothered to show up or call to say they could not make it.

Terrible. Kiker did not do work nor did they return calls.

They stacked it nicely to the side of our driveway which made transporting it to our wood pile a lot easier than if they dumped it.

I have used Kiker several times over the past 5 years and been very pleased with their service and prices. I called them 3 weeks ago about two trees that I wanted removed (one which was partially fallen and braced against another tree about to hit my fence). I called multiple times and left a voicemail for Travis. He finally called back and agreed to come out to give me an estimate. After this didn't happen I called back and left several more voicemails over many days. He finally came out and gave me the estimate. When I gave him the go ahead to remove the tree I never he heard back. Multiple calls and voicemails - no response. It is incredibly unprofessional to simply not return people's calls and stretch this whole process into a 2-3 week ordeal and waste everybody's time. I'm not sure if my job wasn't big enough to warrant his attention or exactly what the issue was - but I wish he was honest with me and didn't drag this whole thing out 2-3 weeks for nothing. The inability to reach him on the phone or get return phone calls was very frustrating. I have gone elsewhere and much better service with another company.

Went well. We called and left a message at night after the storm. We got a call back at 8am the next day and Travis came out a few hours later to give us an estimate. The crew came about 6pm that same day and had it all done within an hour. They cleaned up everything besides the wood chips from the stump grinding that they used to fill the hole with.

I was very satisfied with the response from Travis and the quick timing to get the job done, especially since the tree was down on my neighbor's property. His men were very polite with my wife and did a great job.

First call was not returned but when I called again the next day, I had wood delivered that night.

Travis came out and viewed the tree that I wanted removed. At that time we discussed the fact that the ground was wet and he said that was no problem and he would place plywood sheets on the ground to keep from tearing up my yard. He said that they would take the tree down without damaging the split rail fence next to it and cut half the tree up into fireplace lengths and stack that wood by the fence, rhen he would haul off the large pieces of the tree trunk and grind down the stump. We agreed on the $1000 price and he was going to perform the work by Thanksgiving if he could- if not then the following week. The following week it was raining and he came by while we weren't here and when I called him he said it was too wet again so he promised that he would come on Monday and cut the tree down at which time I told him he needed to keep in touch with me and call me if he couldn't make it ( I was always the one calling him trying to find out when he would be here). He left me with the impression that my job was just a "fill in" job that he would do when he had nothing else. He didn't show up Monday or Tuesday and never called so I have made arrangements for another company to come out and give me a estimate and remove the tree. I went back to the reviews on Angie's List and am seeing the same problems with Travis that others have had.

I called Kikers in the morning on monday to have seasoned firewood delivered. They came that evening as promised, delivered, stacked and covered the firewood. This is the 3rd year we have used them and they are terrific!

Totally unreliable. Travis has honesty issues. Even his father Edie admits he spends more time at the racetrack than on the job. I see I have the same complaints that others that have dealt with him. He does not return phone calls. He does not keep his word. I begged him to be honest with me. I asked him to tell if he could or couldn't do the job, and he just kept lying to me. Totally dishonest, totally unreliable.

Set up and appointment, no show, finally answered call after 3 times, set up new appt, no show, now won't answer calls. Travis was very nice and seemed professional upon coming out for the estimate. Really nice guy and good estimate but never showed up for the work and stopped answering calls.

Contacted Kiker's after reviewing on Angie's List. Travis came out same day to provide an estimate. Original quote was $225, and he agreed to take it to $200 with the Angie's list discount. He seemed genuinely interested in my needs as a customer. I let them know timing wasn't urgent, but to give me a day's notice so I could make sure cars, etc. were out of the way when they came. We played a little phone tag, but settled in on a date. Travis gave me a call beforehand to confirm when they would arrive. His team worked with precision. Safe tree removal, avoiding mailboxes, other trees nearby. As they were grinding up the branches, I asked if they could cut up the trunk into reasonable sized logs for the fire-pit, and they did without hesitation. They ground the stump up below ground. They did a great job cleaning up remaining debris in the street and in the yard. You would barely even notice they were here (except the missing tree of course!) Would definitely use again.

Awesome - they arrived super fast after placing the call and getting the estimate. They had the tree removed and the area cleaned spotless in about an hour. They gave me the option to grind the stump but I chose to have it cut close the the ground, and you'd never know a tree was there. They raked and used leaf blowers to tidy up and did a great job.
