Kikers Tree Service & Stump Removal

He was to remove a big tree 3 feet from the eves on one side and 5 feet from the power line on the other. Others would not even make a bid or their estimates were significantly higher. It was too close to the house; it had to come out. It went surprisingly fast. By the time I got home to 'manage' the removal they were done and gone, everything buttoned up, like the tree was never there but for a small mound of wood chips.

Prompt service and helped us stack the wood into the storage rack.

I had called around all over town looking for ready to use firewood with no success as we are a little late into the season. The person I had used previously was not an Angie's List provider and had ripped us off by bringing unseasoned (green) firewood and only about half of what I had paid for. Mr. Kiker had a full truckload of wood here within a few hours. The gentleman who brought it was very professional and courteous and stacked the entire load for us. Now we'll be warm for the winter and can enjoy fires with our family over Thanksgiving. Thank you Kiker Tree Service!

I was very happy with them. I was very happy with the price, it was very affordable. They did great work and cleaned up my yard perfectly. They were very efficient. I had a lot of difficult trees to take down, and they were able to remove them without damaging my house. It was a good value for what they did. Most of the other quotes that I got were much higher.

Came and cut down trees. Asked me to leave cash in an envelope taped to my front door. Never came back to remove logs and limbs. Would not return calls.

I phoned Kikers yesterday asking for 1/2 cord of seasoned wood to be delivered. Travis said he would be at my home today around 3:30. He was here on time loading the firewood into my stand, beautiful seasoned wood. This is the 2nd year we have used Kikers for firewood and will phone them again when we run out of wood... Professional nice guys. Please note: The coupon on Angies list is only for tree service not firewood.

Based on the high rating on Angies List I called Kikers Tree Service and left a message saying I wanted a load of firewood. They returned the call within a couple hours and that is reasonable. We made arrangements to have a load of firewood delivered the following week, payment upon delivery. We did not set a specific date or time but they were to call me the day before delivery. I didn't have a problem with that. They did not call and they did not deliver the firewood. I did not call to find out what happened. Instead I made arrangements for another provider to deliver firewood and get my $125. I gave Kikers a D instead of an F because their price was in-line with the other providers I contacted and they returned my first call within a reasonable time.

He said he would be there next day. Called the next day he said he was late so we waited. He didn't show up and never called back. Then the next day we called, no answer. Then a week after homeowners association charged $50.00 because service provider never came. So after all of that I had to go and find a new provider, which in turn I had to pay more money.

The work went very well. They knew what they were doing. Went to extremes to protect surrounding bushes. Cleaned up well.

Travis Kiker came to the house on a Sunday afternoon to talk about the work and quote the job. He was very courteous and helped with ideas on how to get the best result by balancing the tree levels. The crew came on time and was very efficient. I was impressed with how clean they left the yard when done. I plan to also buy a 1/2 cord of split wood from them in the fall.

Second time we have ordered firewood from Kiker. Will call again.

I emailed the night (36 hours ) before the big snowstorm was supposed to hit. The next morning I received a call @ 8:15 and arranged for delivery early afternoon. The gentleman called me 30 minutes before the arranged time, to let me know he was on his way. He arrived on time and stacked every piece of wood by hand carrying it from his truck. He was very courteous. It was cold and took @ an hour, so I tipped him for his prompt and excellent delivery. The wood is burning beautifully and I will call them next year. This time I will not wait till a snowstorm!

They were prompt, professional. The work was done quickly and they cleaned up after themselves.

Although they may call back promptly and show up on time - they don't provide all the wood they say they will. I paid them in full $100 for a cord of wood and Jeffrey apologized for showing up with not enough wood. He expected to be paid in full but requested we call him when we were ready for the rest of it. We just called and he doesn't remember us, nor is he planning on delivering more wood. Note to future buyers - don't pay in full if you don't get the full amount they promise. You won't see them again unless you want to pay them more money.

Delivery of the firewood was prompt and the wood is well seasoned. In fact, the delivery was just ahead of the schedule.

We got great firewood from Kiker's last year. Just called again for this year. He said it could be delivered today or tomorrow. Great service and price.

Responsive to initial call; came out the next day. Did come on the correct day for the service and did a thorough job. Our problem was that the time between initial contact and when they actually came to do the job was 6 weeks - they kept putting it off to the next week, and at one point failed to return several calls over a five day period. So, if you don't need the job done quickly, these guys are worth using.

Ordered firewood from these people 2 years ago, promising 1/2 cord of seasoned wood. They delivered more like 3/8 of non seasoned wood. After complaining through angieslist, they delivered the rest of the wood, although it was not very seasoned. Decided to give them another try given the ratings. Was told they'd be by today in the afternoon. When asked, I said I could flexible about time but to give me a call when they had a sense for when they'd be by. Never showed up, never called, never answered phone when I called to ask the status. So, by all means, use them if you want somebody who is non-responsive, doesn't show up on time and doesn't deliver what they promise.

Called initially on 10/3/2013 - he indicated that he was going out of town and would call me on Monday to come give an estimate. No phone call on Monday. I waited till Wednesday, 10/9/2013, to call him back and he remembered me. He came to my property the next day and gave me an estimate on cutting down a tree in my backyard. I agreed with the estimate and he indicated that he would have his team there either that evening or on Friday to complete the work. That was 2 weeks ago and haven't heard a word since. No phone call or visit.

Overall, very good work. Although there was some delay in getting them to my house, once they arrived they performed the work in a professional manner. They cut down 7 trees, ground 2 stumps, and chipped all of that wood plus a pile of limbs I had in the backyard. They cleaned up the site, including at the edge of the street where their chipper was located. Couldn't even tell they had been there. I plan to hire them again in the spring.
