Lead time is a bit long, but worth the wait. They show up on time, worked hard and completed in a reasonable amount of time. When I emailed or called it was returned promptly. Professional folks that I would do business again with.

Rob and his team were great through the whole process. During the initial assessment and quote, Rob explained what was needed to accomplish what we wanted and provided information and recommendations to help us make informed decisions. They communicated well and responded to our calls and e-mails in a timely fashion. The work was performed when scheduled and completed to our expectations. After the sod was installed Rob made sure we clearly understood the near-term and long-term watering and care requirements to ensure our lawn became well established. The sod was installed in Jun 2014, 7 months ago, and I am happy to report it has more than met our expectations. Based on information and recommendations from Rob, we chose Empire zoysia sod due to the fact our front yard has direct sun most of the day and we wanted a lawn that did not require a lot of maintenance after it became established. It remained full and lush throughout the year, with minimal maintenance, and is now, as expected, dormant for the winter. We're very happy with the work and results from RB landscaping and will use them again in the future.

Initial consult was great. Rob was very responsive to our questions. We had a landscape designer draw a set of plans and had more than five companies quote on the job. Rob was not the least expensive, but the company had good reviews and we liked Rob. It took about two months for us to make a decision. Once decided, Rob placed us on the schedule. We had an initial start date delay of two weeks. Once on site, the work proceeded smoothly. Rob was on vacation during part of the install but his foreman did a great job. A little communication issue in the middle kinda put us off; but when Rob returned, he made everything right. Overall, we were very pleased and would not hesitate to use Rob and his crew again.

This is the 4th time we have used RB for landscaping needs and they continue to be great. Rob is very attentive and hands on with every job. He follows out to make sure we are satisfied after all the jobs are complete. I would strongly recommend him for any landscaping needs.

we are halfway through our poject at this point but so far we are thrilled! we were having major drainage issues (this winter turned the backyard into a mud pit). we wanted to level out the yard and increase the drainage. so far, not a single mud puddle! more to come once the project is complete...

I have used RB Landscaping for a couple of years and to be honest with you I haven't ever actually seen anyone because I am never there when they come to take care of my yard but I love the work they do on my yard. They are very meticulous and pay attention to every detail. They not only mow and edge my lawn but maintain a couple of hills I have in my yard and control the weeds that spring up. I would highly recommend them. Their prices are reasonable. I gave the professionalism a B only because they require you to submit a autodraft form which I'm not in love with because I don't particularly like giving up that control and chance to review the charge before it is made.

The patio looks great and has held up over the winter with no issues. We are very happy with it.

It went very good. We're still planning and to have proper timing, we have other stuff that needs to be done before we do landscaping. I like their responsiveness, time in understanding the work that we needed doing and being responsive to that set of parameters.

Went smoothly...Rob is great and gets to the point and the quality and price were just right...affordable and I did not wait months to get the job done....only a few weeks and they wrapped it up in a day with full crew...very well done...They were referred by other neighbors in our development and all had great reviews of the work which I had seen...

Without much notice at all, received letter stating they were not going to continue service in my area. Left me and other neighbors without any alternatives. Very disappointed!

Contractor did not have proper tools for the job - it involved much cutting of stone cobbles, and he did not have a masonry saw with wetted blade, so the dust was everywhere - screen porch should have been covered, and was not, and cleanup was awful with dust in the furniture, rug, etc. The ground was not properly prepped for the sod, nor was the sod properly installed. Workers tore the sod instead of cutting with a knife. Edges were not clean, so there were gaps that created low spots, and edges that died. The ground was not graded properly and the area is very uneven.In some areas, the promised top spil was not laid first, and the sod installed directly on the hard earth, where it did not take. Workers ruptured a main line for the irrigation system (that had been marked) installing a tree, and the first repair did not hold. Ultimately we were not able to water some sod/ plantings for a few weeks. The trees included six ~6 foot tall cryptomeria, which after they were installed we found were infested with a wood boring insect. Initially the contractor blamed us, saying they had become infested on our property (in a week), and refused to replace until the source nursery acknowledged they were having problems with such trees. Some had been planted too deep, and when they were pulled up, we could see that on a few the root balls had not even been cut open before they were planted - they were still wrapped. Hard scape was poorly done, with wide gaps between walkways and edging. The design was intended to curve around the house and gardens, but the contractor changed to straight lines wherever they could, and consequently curves ended up looked flat or lopsided. Where curved areas are lined with edging, they avoided cutting the edge pieces with are 18" long, contributing to the curves looking flattened. One 2-ft high half-round retaining wall is completely lopsided and looks awful, which was to have framed a showplace garden. Where edging and wall caps were installed on a curve, they not cut into pie-slice shaped pieces as you would expect, but irregularly. They were able to affect the curve along the outside edge, but because they were not cut to the same size and shape, these areas look odd. In general, things are unsymmetrical where they should be symmetrical, and it looks bad. The design was all curves, and they were not skilled enough to handle curves. The contractor did not agree, and said it should be ok with us. Some work was not performed as he had explicitly agreed, such as using polymetric sand to fill cracks between cobbles in the walkway and patio. Instead he used a fine gravel that is still way too course. He agreed to fix many issues, but did not address them all, including replacing the plantings and sod. He demanded final/full payment before replacing the sod, but we were holding back the last ~$2300 until the job was complete, so he removed the replacement trees that had been installed as well as some shrubs. The job was not completed, much of it done poorly. We are now having the sod replaced and trees installed by another contractor at our expense. During the course of the work, when we raised issues the contractor stated that we were being too "picky." He insisted we wait until parts were completed before reviewing the work. When we were not happy with completed sections, he became belligerent.

From the very beginning dealing with Rob at RB Landscaping the experience was pleasant. After his initial visit to our home, he recommended that we get a proffesional design done, which we did by Laura Kipper designs who we would also recommend, so that he could give us an accurate bid and scope of the project. He returned multiple times to our home and my office to tweak the proposal to get it exactly the way that we wanted it. We we came to a final decision on what we wanted and agreed on a price Rob set a date to begin the construction project. He ultimately ended up starting a week EARLY and ending the project before the originally quoted start date. This was a very pleasant surprise! The overall quality of the project was outstanding and we are very satisfied with what we got. Rob and his crew from RB landscaping were very respectful of our property and did a thorough job of cleaning up the job site and repairing unavoidable damage before the job was concluded. He personally was on site most days and did the final walk through on the property to ensure that the lights were postioned appropriately and the irragation system worked as planned. Rob did a great job of communicating with us on a regular basis during the whole project to keep us up to speed on the project as well as make recomendations about possible changes we would want to consider. All in all I would certainly recommend RB Landscaping for anyone looking to get a high quality landscape job done. We will be using him again in the future for more landscaping needs.

They did an excellent job! They came in and did the work without any talking and they were on time; they clean up after themselves, they did what they contracted for, and their price is reasonable.

Everything about the deal - 4 hours two workers - was easy. Good price. Outstanding work. Flexible. Gave recommendations on a better layout for my plants, which I went with. I would highly recommend them, and would definitely hire them again.

Would definitely recommend Rob and team. Very knowledgable and they do a great job. The drawback to RB Landscaping being so good at what they do is that they are not as timely to respond to questions - because they are so busy. I would trade off timeliness for quality work 100% of the time. Always being busy is a sign of an in-demand contractor and one you want to use! I absolutely am pleased with the work they have done and will use them in the future, not only for sod work, but the other services they provide as well. Great job!

They are prompt and knowledgeable. My lawn looks beautiful. Any concerns I had are being addressed. I am having more work done by them.

Overall the job went very well and on time. Rob and his lead guy were on-site most of the time and happy to explain what was going on and identify possible issues with the original plan.....alternatives were always proposed. There workers were very good and always willing to discuss the job as it progressed. On a large complex job like this it is not surprising that there some minor mis-understandings as to implementation of some of the details, but these were mostly quickly and agreeably resolved.

The contract obligations were met in a timely manner. We were kept informed throughout and if RB had questions, or concerns, they contacted us for direction. Wonderful results! Great people! We highly recommend them!
