+ 0 moreWent very well. We just recently moved to Hendersonville and the house needed some plumbing work. Sumney has done several jobs for us, including repairing the hot water heater (replaced heater coil), fixed a toilet that would not stop running, replaced a sprayer and hose at the kitchen sink and hooked up the ice-maker on the refrigerator. All the work has been professionally done and done correctly. They put in a shut-off valve for the water to the refrigerator when they did the work. They will only do the work the way it should be done and do not take short cuts. They wear booties in the house so as not to get the floors/rugs dirty.
Description of Work: Hooked up ice-maker in refrigerator. Added plumbing since none existed to refrigerator.

+ -1 moreSolved the problem completely. We had been plagued with low pressure for a long time, and other plumbers failed to notice the source of the problem. Summey knew right away and went straight to the problem. We have three stories, and it takes good pressure to get water enough to shower on the third floor.
Description of Work: Water pressure kept dropping till it was completely off. He replaced a corroded nipple from the bladder tank (I have a well) to the house plumbing. Solved the problem completely. He replaced the old galvanized fitting with a brass one.

+ 0 moreThey are a local company that I have been using for 10 years. They gaurentee all of their work. I have only had an issue one time and they were back the next day to fix it. They are a public company with a good crew. Whenever I have something wrong they are able to fix it quickly. They even put little booties over their shoes when they come to your house.
Description of Work: They redid my dish disposal and gas stove. I use them for all my plumbing needs.

Made the decision to use a "friend of a friend" to get this particular job done quickly while saving some on our remodel budget. In the long run, that cost us - not only financially, but we didn't get exactly what we wanted because they were working with fairly expensive non-returnable parts purchased by the other guy instead of starting fresh and doing it right. We'll call Summey first next time. They are very professional. They show up when they say they will, work diligently while they are here, and do the job right the first time.

+ -1 moreI think Summey did a great job. I feel that if I had follow up concerns or problems they would address it. They even called me to follow up and make sure it worked. I felt like they were wonderful.
Description of Work: A previous plumber had replaced the nipple for the faucet in the bathtub. However I understood from Summey that there was another part that needed to be replaced. Summey ended up installing brass fittings for the tub spout which included a 1/2 in brass nipple and other parts. The job initially was not done completely by the original plumber and to my satisfaction because I continued to have rusty water coming out of my tub spout when I initially turned it on even though it cleared up after a few seconds. No other location in my house had this problem. They also had to determine if it was rust or mud. Summey diagnosed it properly and added the additional parts that were needed and their work did not cause secondary problems or leaks. The problem was resolved.

They charge a fair price and they don't want to linger and add on to it any more than they have to. We haven't received the bill from the last service. We will absolutely continue to use them.

+ -1 moreThey were prompt and did good quality work. They were solid in their work and they also called me regularly to keep me informed about the work. I just wish that they were low on the price, but I guess I get what I pay for. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used Summey Plumbing & Heating Inc to do some plumbing work in my house. I had another contractor to do some work and he didn't do it properly and so I had them come out as a back-up. They fixed the drain that was not seated properly in the sink. They also replaced the garbage disposal.

+ 0 moresee above explanation. Summey Plumbing was not available for our emergency situation, even though they do business in our neighborhood.
Description of Work: Called for service on Friday at 4:40 pm. Got a recording which gave their emergency number. No return phone call. Called the emergency number again an hour later. and still got no response. Thought they would at least call us first thing on Monday morning, but NO Response. We had an outside pipe leak, and had no water the entire weekend..Finally had to call another plumbing servicer. Summey will not get any further business from us or our acquaintences.
