we just moved into a new home and had some roof questions. When I spoke to Joe it turned out that he had done some roof repairs for the previous owner. He let me know that his guarantee would still be covered even though i am the new owner.

I called Joe the roofer in the early afternoon, he said he was finishing up a job and would stop in on his way home. Joe stopped in with his helper, looked at the job and rather than go home they repaired it right away

I guess I discussed that above...it went very well. I will definitely use Joe whenever I have a roofing issue.

My insurance company suggested Roofing by Joe after I filed a claim for wind damage. I am very glad they did. Joe and his crew did a phenomenal job. The work was done quickly and ahead of schedule. The new roof looks great. I hope that I don't need their services again, but if I do, I won't hesitate to call them. Very happy with the work. Was very pleasantly surprised by some of the little touches. Thanks again.

I have never written a negative review on Angie's List before. Based on great scores, I contacted this roofing company through the "Schedule Now" feature on Angie's LIst, waited 2 days, and no response by phone or email. I then called the main number and got a recording saying they would call back. Waited another day, and no call. On day 4, I called the same number, and got the machine again, so called the alternate number and got another recording. Left a message and a day later, no reply. I'm not sure why this company is not contacting a prospective customer. Even if they called saying they were too busy, or my home was too far away (about 25 mi.), or something, that would be better than being ignored. So I contacted Angie's List and they said to leave this comment, and they would help find another contractor.

They were great. On time, cleaned up so it looked better than when they came. Answered and responded to all questions asked. Truthful.

Joe and his small crew came right out on time and started working in small sections of the roof at a time as to maintain the amount of nails and debris that was coming down from the roof. There was obviously the amount of scraping, hammering and noise that you would expect with a new shingles roof, but there were never the piles of debris that you sometime see at other roofing sights. It seemed there was always someone on the ground collecting either the old roofing, packing materials or walking the yard with their rolling magnet, looking for the old nail pulls. Really, the site was always fairly clean and organized. Joe and I had coordinated the color of the shingles, and trim pieces ahead of time and everything was on their truck when they arrived. It was also nice that Joe has his own trailer to haul away the old debris, so a construction dumpster wasn't needed. My roof is steep and has a lot of angles, which took a little more time to finish and the whole job took 3 1/2 days to do. Everyone on the crew was courteous, respectful and truly friendly. Joe had suggested ahead of time that there might be a little decking problem where there had been some shingle damage, but when he pulled that section, the deck was sound. They kept me up to speed on everything they were doing and the timelines of when they would do what. I guess the best surprise of the job was that there were no surprises. It sounds like a cliche', but I really mean it......I wish all the contractors and repair folk I will need and meet were as down to earth as Joe. He really is a simple, small business man that cares about what he does. Of course, time and weather will tell about the longevity of the labor and the materials. But if they go off like the installation itself, I will have no worries.

Joe was called on a Thursday, came to the house on Friday morning. He determined the roof leak was due to leaves blocking the gutter and installed a drip edge all in about and hour and a half which solved the problem. He also quoted a (very reasonable) price to inspect the entire roof, make any necessary repairs and set up a maintenance schedule. He was on time, reliable and professional. We will call him first for any future problems,

I called Joe's and got voice mail. I left a message but never heard from them. A few days later I called and got a lady. She made an appointment for later in the week. the app't day came and nobody showed. I called and got voice mail and left amessage. Never heard from them.

Cleaned everything and hauled to landfill. On time every time. Excellent> job, looks great.

Overall great job. Brought a crew out right away to take care of minor issues. Have found only 2 nails on the property the past year.

Joe showed up on time - even called ahead to see if there was snow on the roof - gave us a reasonable estimate, explaining exactly what the problem was and how he planned to remedy this. He was able to come back later in the day and complete the work.

He was very good. Our experience with him went very well. It was fabulous. If I needed a new roof, that is who I would go with. They did a great job and were very professional. They left a very clean job site. I cannot say enough good things about them. Roofers are hard to come by.

Joe was professional and prompt. He said I would not be disappointed with the results and he was right. It took 3 days, they cleaned the site every evening before leaving, were especially careful of my shrubs, and did a super job.

I needed a new roof and after getting 4 estimates, I chose Joe for the job. I live out of town and he took the time on Sunday to meet me when I was in town. His estimate was the most thorough, he was extremely informative on all aspects of the roof, flashing, and what I needed to have a good roof. HIs estimate was not the cheapest or the most expensive - he was right in the middle, but I chose him for his thorough up front estimate, as well as his responsiveness to questions, plus the fact that he is right there with his crew working. I felt like I would know what I was getting. He did an excellent job, got the job on his schedule much earlier than originally promised and I'm very pleased. From start to finish Joe and his wife were great to work with. Highly recommend.

He was on time when he came for the estimate, explained thoroughly what would be done and what was included. When he left we knew exactly what to expect. He showed up with his crew as scheduled. They worked hard, cleaned up after themselves, and checked the yard for stray rubble and nails each day before leaving. They were finished in 2 days, as promised. Joe and his crew were polite and professional. We would definitely use them again, and highly recommend them to anyone needing roof repairs.

Done in one day. Joe himself was on the job. Nice work, painted the vent pipes to match, and really cleaned up all the nails.

I don't have the easiest attic space and the fans weren't installed in the best fashion by the previous owner. Joe did it all with a smile and Great work, fast, and he did a great job educating me on what they were doing and why. He also blew the leaves off my porch roof, no extra charge. I will need a new roof in about five years and will be calling Joe back to take care of it. I highly recommend him.

Now this is what I call service: It's a torrential rain, your roof is leaking/damaging your ceiling and there is no break in the forecast for a few days. Good luck getting help with that right. After calling 2 other companies who said thank you very much and call back when it stops raining I found Roofing by Joe. Joe came out and quickly installed a tarp around my old unused chimney to stop the leak, then returned once the rain stopped to remove the chimney, patch and repair my roof. Thank you Joe.

A painter and the dry wall guy who repaired our celing noticed the crack was opening up again and the "mud" was bubbling. The dry wall guy climbed in the attic on a rainy day (a Saturday) and sure enough, the roof was leaking at the chimney flashing. I called Joe, spoke to his wife Chris, and they were able to come out on a Sunday. Joe saw exactly the 3 areas in around the chimney and plumbing vents that needed repair. We were put on the schedule for Tuesday and Joe & his crew arrived well within the appointment time frame. No more leaks so now the LR ceiling can be repaired & painted. Joe dos excellent work at a fair price. He installed a Velux skylight for us last year and also repaired the chimney flashing at my parents house. His wife Chris sets up the work schedule and always calls back if you leave a message. Highly recommend them.

I was not there, but my neighbor overseen the project. She was very impressed with how organized they were; the carefullness they put into the project; the cleanliness by using a shoot to put the old shingles on which dropped into a garbage receptical. She said they did an amazing job. I went over the same day to check the work and I was very satisfied.

Phoned on 12/6 left message and got return call the next day. Scheduled an estimate for 12/14 at 9am. Nobody showed up. Called back on 12/16 to find out what happened and to reschedule. Never received a call back. Update: I had no calls or messages that were left from the service provider. The day they were supposed to come out it was not raining so I dont know what they'rer talking about.

I called Roofing By Joe yesterday and he came on time today (on a Saturday). The job was done quickly. He explained what he had done. I learned some things about roofing that I did not know. He is friendly, reliable and I will certainly use him again in the future if his services are needed.
