So, I am writing this review 6 months after Roofing By Joe did our roof. I understand the logical question is, “Why now?” I don’t know if you have ever had “something stick in your craw” and despite trying to let it go it has just continued to fester. Well, that is exactly where I am. Joe did our roof toward the end of March. At about the same time another roofing contractor did our neighbor’s roof who has the same type gutter system we do. It was windy during that entire stretch of time. After Joe finished, it was my wife who first noticed how our gutter system looked all bent and wasn’t working properly so I did a ladder inspection myself and then called the gutter installer to come because we had a problem. Not only was there a small problem but it was significant enough to require quite a bit of work and cost related to carefully lifting roofing tiles to get to the gutter to fix or replace. On 17 November 2020 I emailed Joe’s Roofing and wrote that I did not want them to attempt an install when it was raining because way back when I worked part time for a building contractor there was one basic rule he lived by, “never let your building materials get wet.” Well, it wasn’t rainy, but it was very windy and I assumed Joe’s Roofing could deal with that fact. I was so wrong! I talked to my neighbor to see if he had any gutter damage from the wind, again because we have identical gutter systems. He said “No, my contractor was worried about that and he told me he was putting bundles of shingles on the exposed gutter to hold it in place.” Wow, what a simple solution! I emailed Roofing By Joe on 16 June 2021 and attached pictures to show the damage. I did not ask for any type of compensation because of his neglect but I did share my disappointment. He called sometime after that to say, “It wasn’t their fault because it was windy” and just dismissed it and hung up. Joe and his crew did a great job. They were on time, polite, hard working, and respected my property. Joe was on site during all of the roofing and provided me with an update every day, The crew was friendly and greeted me with a wave each day. The area around my house was cleaned up every day and looked better than before the crew arrived. The roof looks great, there were no surprises and I am completely satisfied with all aspects of this process. I highly recommend Roofing by Joe.

Joe came out within a few days, and determined that the leak was due to loose trim around the dormer window. He caulked the trim at no charge. We've also had water leaking into our basement through the chimney. I asked Joe to check it while he was on the roof. He took pictures to show me some cracks and missing mortar. I need to find a mason to fix it.

Joe came and repaired flashing on my roof around a window where it was causing a leak. In my mind at the time he was a God-send and was very kind to me. He guaranteed his work. Well a year later I woke up to a big puddle of water in the floor, and contacted him right away. Within just a couple of hours they contacted me and said they were sending him out. How thankful I was! I couldn’t take a vacation day so a good friend who was caring for her dying mom came and stayed at my house the entire day to wait for him. He never showed. That was 15 days ago. He also never responded to any further messages. Honestly that breaks my heart because I held Joe up as a man of great integrity. I can’t in good conscience recommend him now though, unless I find out there is some emergency that rendered him unable to respond or keep his word. In the meantime I have a towel shoved into the hole in my roof, and more rain is in the forecast. I know it is a little job, but I will be in the market for a new roof in several years, so these “little jobs” lead to larger ones with companies who don’t disregard their guarantee or their word.

I called and left a message that I needed to have some repair work done. I received no response, so I called again a few days later. I still have not received a response.

Joe came out right on time. He checked it out and told me exactly what the problem was, he then made the repairs at a very fair price, guaranteed me no more leak, and they stand by their work.

Excellent job replacing entire roof. Promptly came out to provide estimate and kept us informed about start date. Joe was on the job the entire time. Clean up of nails and bits was comprehensive (even on Friday afternoon). Satisfied customer.

Joe came out to look at a roof leak. He was able to assess the problem and resolve it in the same trip. Joe has great experience and knowledge - when it comes time for me to replace the roof, he will be the one I hire.

We called Joe because of a stain near the chimney. Joe put a roof on this place several years ago. He has come out twice now to work on leaks around the chimney. Neither time would he let me pay him anything. Great service, and great work

See above. One roof had a couple of nail pops, the other had a bad exhaust boot. He was very thorough at looking at both roofs.

Pouring rain. Water dripping from ceiling. Called and Joe came out that day. Inspected roof and found that water leaking in from siding. Doesn't repair siding but recommended company to do repairs. Offered twice but would not take any money. Joe was very professional and will definitely use him for any future roofing work.
