Description of Work: Joe was recommended by another Angie's List contractor who had done work on our house. Except for inevitable delays caused by weather (of only a few days), the work was completed as promised, we have experienced no problems, and are very happy with both the quality of the work and the price. We were especially pleased with the work crew and the way in which they cleaned up, not just at the end of the job but everyday. I have recommended Joe to all our neighbors.

Description of Work: They came out to inspect my roof very quickly after I contacted them. I knew I had some pipe boots leaking and was planning to do a reroof. After Joe looked at the roof he informed me that the pipe boots were cracked, installed incorrectly and I had some damaged shingles(from a fallen tree limb). He let me know that I had around 10yrs left on the shingles and was only going to recommend a repair. They were at my house within two weeks and had the work completed/cleaned up in a couple of hours. I will be contacting them if I have any more issues.

Description of Work: They were here within 2 day for the estimate, Answered all our questions and explained things we were not sure of. They started the roof on Monday morning,when I got home from work that early evening there was no trash or shingles anywhere in the yard. They finished the work on Tuesday and again there was no debris anywhere. Very professional. I would use this company again without a second thought

He was very honest and understood that I needed advice quickly on my roof damage from that storm. I really like Smart repairs that Joe recommended to me. Description of Work: Initially Joe came and estimated the repairs needed to our metal roof very quickly. He left a written estimate for us to think over. We card back repeatedly and finally got someone to say they would send out a contract. Never received contract and then no one would return our calls. Would have liked to seen someone to work on our roof as we have been fighting this for almost a year. Nothing but another waste of our time and effort.

Description of Work: asked this company to provide an estimate for a new metal roof. after seeking several estimates, we chose this company for the contract; however, every time we called, there were excessive delays in getting called back and even obtaining the contract. at one point, joe provided a lot of education about the materials, colors and the process. we found this information quite helpful and was key in our decision to hire this company. yet when it came down to actually starting the job, there were only delays and miscommunications. for example, we were asked to go a metal retailer to look at samples, but when we arrived, the samples we wanted to look at were not there. we ended up choosing another company to do our roof.

Description of Work: The most honest and capable roofer I have ever had the opportunity to work with. Joe told me "if you don't choose me here are the things you want to ask". Then he gave m a list of things to check on. In the end he was the best price and the clean up was amazing.

Description of Work: We had 2 skylights replaced in late June of this year. The estimate and repair work was very easy and they were friendly and punctual. In late October we noticed the flashing was coming lose around one of the skylights. We called numerous times and did not receive a return phone call. Finally, in mid November I did get a hold of them after hours and they said they would come out on a Saturday afernoon (November 17th). They did not show or call that Saturday. Description of Work: Tore off an old roof on a garage and main house and replaced. I provided materials since I could buy at a discount. He provided me with a complete list of materials. He was always prompt and worked steadily to complete teh job promptly, even working around some bad weather. His clean-up was the best I have ever had and this is the 5th roofing job I've had.

Description of Work: Joe and his associate showed up on time on Saturday morning. I had called to get a quote on reroofing my home due to a small leak and the fact that my roof is 23 years old. He gave me a quote which seemed reasonable. This was my first estimate so I had nothing to compare it against. He informed me that he could also just repair my roof and it would have about 2 more years left on it before it needed to be replaced. I gladly had him make the repair and plan to get the full life out of my roof. When the time comes, Roofing By Joe will be my first call. Tommy

Description of Work: Initially we called Joe to give an estimate for a new metal roof. Joe came to give the estimate at the time he said he would and provided us with three options. We ended up going with a new architectural shingle roof because the price fit our budget. Joe provided an estimate for the price including a contract and we decided on the color of the shingles. Joe scheduled the time and date of installation and was on time each day. When he arrived there was some confusion as to what type of shingles will be put in a flat spot on the roof but it was cleared up quickly and the shingles we agreed upon were used. The job was finished within two days, they used a magnet each day to pick up nails and the roof turned out spectacular. Joe took extra care to make a chimney flashing that would be protected against the elements. We got a great roof at a great price from a very professional team. Joe really knows what he is doing any has great advice to give! 1500 sqft roof for approx $1700

Description of Work: I got Joe's name from Angie's List to replace my hail damaged roof. His estimate was reasonable. He and his crew showed up at 8AM on the day we agreed upon to start job. They removed the old roof and put on tar paper. They showed up at 7:30AM on the next day and installed the roof. They showed up at 7:30AM on the third day to completed some additional work. The crew worked the whole time they were here. Joe and his crew were professional and cordial. They were very conscience about cleaning up, particurlaly nails. From his performance at my house, I would recommend Roofing by Joe.

Description of Work: Requested 3 quotes for what we thought was an extensive roof repair after finding a leak in an upstairs bedroom. One company never returned our request for a quote after two calls. Dropped them. Company two came out and looked around. Suggested extensive repairs including a new roof. Joe came out. Saw the small area in which the leak originated. Basically, a nail had rotted in one area where the two peaks came together. Failure of the builder to properly construct the roof. In a heavy downpour rain sneaked in under the shingle and drained thru the area where the nail had rotted away. Joe saw this immediately and suggested a repair. we asked him to survey the roof and provide feedback on the need for extensive repairs and a new roof as suggested by the other company. He told us that the suggested repairs were indeed not needed and a new roof would not be needed for 5-7 years. He even suggested calling a fourth company to get an opinion on his opinion if we were not comfortable. We knew rain was in the forecast and he did the repair that day in about an hour. Since then we have had torrential rains and no leaks. I've been in the attic and no rain water was noted. Joe said if it rained and we saw any water in the attic he would come out right then and personally examine the leak. We have not had to do that in over a month and after several bad storms. Bottom line; highly recommend Joe without reservation.

Description of Work: On time for estimate. Gave me choices for patch or redo a whole (small) roof section, with the pros and cons and prices of each choice. I chose redoing the small roof section. It was shallow pitch so he put on the rubber stuff. He showed up as scheduled, did the work and left the place neat and clean. He also cleaned the gutters while he was up there for no additional charge. I would hire him again in a minute.

Description of Work: A portion of my roof needed rotten boards repaired and re-roofed...We were extremely pleased with the job done by Joe, and in such a timely manner. Joe's roofing has been a pleasure to deal with and would most definitely recommend them!
