Called Joe , he showed up next day right on time as promised. Joe inspected the problem area, and explained what he would have to do to correct the improperly repaired roof and flashing around chimney. Fixed my roof a week earlier than expected, very good instructions on future roof care. Cleaned up after finishing work, a real pleasure to deal with. I had a shingle that had blown off during a windstorm and one of my gutters was separating from the house. Joe came out early to my house, got on the roof, and within ten minutes had given me a quote for what he could fix. He ended up replacing two shingles tabs, nailing in some nails that were sticking up, fixed up a section of plyboard, replaced a rotting plumbing flashing on the back of the roof that I would have never been able to see, fastened the separated gutter to the house and cleaned the gutters as well. Considering I got more work done for a price I was expecting to pay for just the shingles and the separated gutter, I was a very happy customer. I would not hesitate to call Joe again.

Joe came to give me an estimate when he said he would AND started working when he said he would. The cost was exactly what Joe estimated, and the work was done well and on time. I definitely recommend Joe- he is very professional.

Contacted Joe by phone and immediately was given an appointment for his services that day! Showed up on time and prices were exactly as they quoted.. Also made sure that there were no other loose shingles on our roof.. Would hire again! Punctual and performed the services very well!

I really liked him a lot but I haven’t used him yet. He seemed to know what he was talking about and he gives a guarantee on roofing which a lot of them don’t. I’m probably going to use him but I just haven’t made the step yet. It’s not like I have a hole in my roof, otherwise I would use him. I thought he seemed very conscientious and he was punctual; he came when he said he would be here. I do not believe he gave me a written estimate; so I would need to call him for that. I do not do anything without it in writing. Although, we are down here in the mountains and things are a little bit casual down here. I prefer to do things kind of by the book. He climbed up on my roof and I asked him if, when he was up there doing the work, he would do a couple of other things for me like paint some of the stuff I had up there that isn’t painted to match the roof and he had no problem with that. I thought he would probably be easy to work with and he had good reports on Angie’s List.

First, he showed up quickly and all options and costs were explained and discussed from metal roofing to shingles. Simple estimate drawn up. Contract and scheduling followed up in a couple of days. They cleaned up daily at the end of the work day. The whole project took 3 days. We were pleased with the quality of work and attention to detail. We feel very confident in recommending this company to anyone needing these services.

Called Joe's number and left message. His wife called back within an hour and was willing to schedule an appointment for an estimate the same day. That was not convenient for me so we agreed on a different day. I said it was probably a small job that could likely be completed in one visit. Joe came about 15 minutes early on the appointed day. He inspected the roof and attic and found a problem with a plumbing stack vent having never been properly installed. He said he could fix it for $175 but would need to leave the site to get some materials. I agreed. He came back in about an hour, repaired the plumbing and made sure the vent was properly sealed. He also thoroughly inspected the rest of the roof and found no other problems. His work is guaranteed for one year.

Joe arrived on time. We had a leak when it rained really hard and at a certain angle. Joe fixed sealant on flashing where the addition meets the existing house. He also went above and beyond and sealed broken brick on a window in the same area that was not previously noticed and may have also been contributing to our leak. He also sealed some exposed nails on the other side of the house that were possibly contributing to a leak on that end. It has since rained hard and guess what. No leaks. I would recommend Joe for sure.

After a hard rain last week, we noticed water stains on our bedroom ceiling. We knew we couldn't put off getting the roof leak fixed -- but we sure dreaded dealing with a roofing company. We've heard too much negative about their workmanship, their high prices -- even the mess they leave behind. Then we remembered Angie's List. Although we subscribe to it, we'd never taken advantage of it. On Angie's List, we found a Gold Star roofer -- Roofing by Joe -- listed in our area. Angie's List showed he had a contractor's license and his web site indicated he had insurance -- requirements we insist our contractors have. We called Joe Monday to schedule an estimate. His answering machine picked up and took our message. We thought we probably wouldn't hear from him for hours -- maybe not until the next day. But in just a short while his scheduler / wife called back and set a 3pm time for the inspection / estimate. We were thrilled the appointment was scheduled for the same day. My husband and I had no idea of the scope of our roof problem but -- fearing the worst -- thought it was probably gi-normous. So between us we agreed to get more than one estimate -- unless Joe's estimate was under $300 -- a ridiculously low amount for a roof repair. Well, Joe showed up right on time, inspected the roof, described the problem and estimated $125 to fix it. ONLY $125! We thought we'd just won the lottery. Joe and his assistant took only 45 minutes to patch our leak and clean up the yard to perfection. Before he left, he told us his work is guaranteed (we knew that from his web site) and if the roof leaks, we are to call him right away. Well, it's been 3 days since Joe patched our roof. Yesterday we had heavy rains. Guess what! No leaks. We are ecstatic with Joe's job quality. He'll be the only one fixing our roof if we ever have another problem.

He came when scheduled to give me an estimate, provided the written contract when promised and did the work as scheduled. He cleaned up at the end of each day, including running a magnet in the yard to pick up stray nails. He hauled all his trash to the dump and completed the job in less than a week. His estimate was the middle of three I obtained. The work was more than originally estimated for; the back half of the roof had two rows of shingles while the front only had one - this did not change the contracted fee though we thought maybe it should. He was not satisfied with his work until we were.

Joe arrived promptly as agreed, installed the snow cutter bar and cleaned the gutters before I even knew he had started.

We were very satisifed with his service and would use His company again. I can't get over how quickly he responded to us. The same day I called he came that evening! His prices were very reasonable too! What one roofing company quoted was four times the amount that He charged us.

Excellent job. Joe presented a very professional estimate and contract. Reported to job as agreed and cleaned up as if no one had been here. Also solved the problem of flashing around chimney and had a metal cap for he chimney manufactured to specifications. Would hire Joe again in a heartbeat.

He works by himself and if needed brings in a builder who assists so the project can be completed in a timely manner. In this case it was done in about six hours beating the incredible rain our area has experienced this season. The entire area around the house was totally void of any sign of construction debris and they went so far as to sweep around the entire house with a large magnet to pick up all nail/screws that might cause a flat tire. Over all this is possibly the easiest work ever to be done at my home. Joe is professional and takes a lot of pride in his work.
