He was prompt and on time. He obviously knew what he was doing. He went up the roof, did the repair, and was out of my house. He impressed me as he was someone who was very reputable and someone that I would call again.

Roofing By Joe came over and did a really good job. There wasn't anything bad that I didn't like about him. I'd give him "5 stars" in ratings. He showed up right on time and was very explicative when he told my wife what to look for and what he attended to do. The only thing I didn't like, but it wasn't a big deal, was when we called and they told us he wasn't available. His wife picked up the telephone, but I understood that he was busy and he gave us 2 or 3 hours before he showed up. Overall, I think that was not a big deal and I was very satisfied. He even fixed not just the roof of our home but also our tool shed. He did a pretty good job on some of the shingles that had fallen. I liked that when we called him 10 days later just to put some type of material for shade creation on our patio that he was very wise in telling us that he was not qualified for that job, in other words not just for the money. He was very honest and he called and said, "I cannot do that job and we recommend somebody else if you want." He was very respectful. Joe was excellent and in a matter of fact there were two more people here and they share the same opinion as me and they saw him working. I think the pricing was the same actually. We thought he was going to charge us more than that, like $150, but $125 was fine for what he did and he didn't charge us anything for the shingles that he replaced on our tool shed. We haven't had any problems since then and everything was fixed and no leakage of any kind and everything looks fine. He wasn't as quick as I wanted, but I understood that he was pretty busy and was with other customers and it's okay. He said he was going to be here within two hours and he was right on time and he came with his wife actually. For sure I would hire him again, actually, and I would not only do that but also recommend anybody who wants to work with him. One of the main reasons why we hired Joe was because of the reviews we saw on Angie'sList.com.

Joe showed up with a helper around six...I showed him where it was leaking....Joe went on the roof , looked at the sky-light came down and told me why it was leaking, and what it would cost to fix. An hour or so later the problem was fixed. It's been over a month, we have had a lot of rain and NO LEAKS

It went great. I am very happy with the job and would hire Joe again anytime. I've worked with a lot of contractors in my 61 years and quite a few homes and Joe is up there at the top.

After searching our area on Angies List for a good roofer, we called Roofing By Joe for an estimate. Joe came out promptly with an estimate we couldn't refuse. He said he was booked for 3 months, but was able to come the following Monday (this week) and arrived at 9:00 AM and finished at 3:30 PM. It's now 3 days later and we've had rain every day and the sunroom is dry inside and the new roof looks great. It's too soon to report about the endurance of the roof, but we see no reason to think anything but positive about the quality and workmanship. Joe and his 2 workers worked diligently to finish the roofing before the rain came as they were cleaning up. We would recommend Roofing by Joe to all Angie's List subscribers in the Asheville/Hendersonville/Etowah/ and Brevard, NC areas. ( In addition: For the same job, an estimate we were given by another company four years ago was $4,000.00!!) We'd like to thank Joe, Mike and Toby for a job well done, with professionalism and quality workmanship.

Outstanding service! Joe came over to Brevard on a Saturday after we called Thursday. We had three leaking skylights which other people had tried to repair. The worst of them is 35-40 feet up in a cupola-type peak and extremely challenging to get to because of the steep angle. We had another "roofer" tell us he'd have to bring in a cherry-picker to get up there and repair it. Joe gave us an estimate of $275. He thoroughly explained why the skylights were leaking and what he needed to do to repair them. He repaired all of our skylights the same day (including one that was not actively leaking but would have started because of the way it was installed.). Initially, he had said he could repair the one in the cupola, but couldn't warranty it because of the shoddy way it had initially been installed. When he'd finished, he said the cupola skylight wasn't done as badly as he'd thought and gave us a one-year warranty on all of his work. We could not have been more satisfied customers.

The work was done on time and as promised. Given my past experiences with incompetent contractors in the Weaverville area, working with Roofing By Joe was a definite change for the better. I was even provided with pictures of the completed job via email.

Joe and Christine are very professional. Joe arrived in a reasonable time frame after I called to request a bid. He is very knowledgeable and was patient with me as I asked many questions about the roofing project. I received several other bids for the roof; I chose Joe because of his punctuality, professionalism and his commitment to stay on the job site with his crew for the entire project. I confirmed all of the arrangements with his wife, Christine, who was very easy to work with.Joe and his crew of two arrived on a Monday morning at the time we had scheduled. I provided half of the money up front for materials. He stated that they would be finished with the project by the end of the week. They worked section by section, tearing off and re-roofing so as to be careful that the roof remained weather-tight as thunderstorms were prevalent that week. At the end of each day, they cleaned the property thoroughly and left everything in a tidy condition. Joe was on site for the entire job. They were finished by Wednesday afternoon. Christine then sent the bill for the rest of the cost and a 2 year workmanship warranty in writing. The cost of the project was exactly as Joe had bid.Simply put- Joe arrived when he said he would, did the work as he said he would, and finished by the time he said it would be finished. The roof looks beautiful.

The whole process seemed to go rapidly, because Joe is a perfectionist, who ensures that everything is done right. I can simplify my assessment by saying that another workmen came by our house on an unrelated matter and said our roof was the best roofing job he had ever seen. Joe has all the qualifications he needs, having worked on roofing for years and in Florida, which has higher standards than in NC. I am confident this roof will last for years.

Arrived on time and performed all work in two days. Work and materials was as described and bill, 1/2 down - 1/2 upon completion, (while not the cheapest) was to the penny. Very satisfied.

I am EXTREMELY PLEASED with the work Roofing By Joe did on my roof! When I called to ask for an estimate he came the very next day, exactly when he said he would. He was very pleasant to deal with. He gave me a contract price that I felt was EXTREMELY REASONABLE for the amount of work and materials involved. He did the work when promised. The results look very professional and BEST OF ALL, his work stopped the leak! If you need roofing work done, you should DEFINITELY give this guy a call!!!

Called late in the day on a Friday not expecting to get any help until at least Monday. I was wrong Joe showed up within an hour and did a complete inspection and gave me a fair quote. They then showed up on time and got the work done in a timely manor and left no mess. I would highly recommend them! PS - just had some heavy rain and no leak!

I bought a house that needed a new roof. I got several estimates one of which was from Roofing by Joe. Although not the least expensive bid Joe impressed me with his knowledge when we discussed the roofing job. I awarded the job to Joe ... he was on the job early and worked late, they completed the job just beating the rain. The roof looks great and the flashing is the best I have seen. I would recommend Joe to anyone.

We had a water leak around the chimney. We had called several roofers for estimates. One roofer failed to show, the other never got back to us for an estimate after looking at the job. Joe, on the other hand was completely professional in every regard. He replaced the siding on the chimney, replaced flashing, and painted the siding. Did it it a matter of hours. I would use him again. And when it becomes time to replace my roof he'll be the one I call.

He came on Saturday afternoon when we were out of town, and we sent him a check. His wife was very nice on the phone. I had no problems with the price.

We called and scheduled an appointment with ROOFING BY JOE , they showed up on time, provided us with a written estimate and answered some questions we had. We called them back the next day and got in his schedule for our roof to be installed, again showed up on time , completed project , cleaned up and hauled away all trash.

He was prompt, knowledgeable, and did the work that needed to be done. He saw immediately what needed to be fixed and repaired it and inspected the roof for any other problems. He was honest and thorough and my friend was very happy with Joe and the work and very grateful for the recommendation. She would use him again & recommend him to others.

Joe and 2 young men arrived on time - worked hard 2 ½ days through clean up and job well done. Joe was here entire time!

Joe, arrived just a couple of hours after I called, even though it was raining. He applied temporary patching and told us what he would need to do to solve the problem permanently. Told us the cost would be $175, that he would be back in 3 days to complete the work. He fulfilled that promised. We had a rain storm a few days after the repair. No leak!

After searching on Angieslist for a roofer, I selected Roofing by Joe. I liked the idea of dealing with a small company and he had good reports. In late July I called to set up an appointment for an estimate and Joe came a few days later on a Saturday morning at 10 AM. He was on time and listened to the problems I had with the roof. After checking the roof he explained the possible causes and said he could fix these problems. He gave me an estimate at that time and I later added putting gutter guards on the gutters. I signed a contract on August 4 and scheduled the work for September 6. We planned to be out of the country until August 27, but due to a hurricane our flight was canceled and we were not able to return home until August 30. Because I was to pay 1/2 of the fee before the work began, I kept in touch with Christine as to our predicament, but I felt sure I would be home in time to meet the deadline. At this point communication broke down with unanswered emails and phone calls (I think there was illness in the family), so the job was postponed until October 17. Then because Joe had a conflict I was asked to move the job to October 10. Joe showed up on time with a couple of helpers. Due to rain that week and one helper quitting, the job took five days. I found the work to be neat and the workers polite. Every day all nails were cleaned up and materials collected. Joe is a very hard worker and does a great job.

Preparation to have work done. 1. Make sure your driveway and access to your roof is clear. For carting off debris, and supply of new materials. This will enable your contractor efficient use of thier time on your roof rather than carting debris and new materials back and forth. 2. Because, it was cold in the mornings, I offered a place to warm up in a heated three season room on my deck. It turned out that these guys got busy so quickly upon arrival to work, that it was not neccessary, but appreciated. 3. Cutting the grass and blowing the leaves away from your house before work starts, also enables the roofers to conduct magnetic sweep for fallen nails and debris clean-up more efficient.

Time will be the ultimate judge of the work. I hope it is lasting quality.

Everything about the experience with Joe was pleasurable. He was courteous, prompt, knowledgeable, and down to earth. He gave me a great price on a very well done, quality roof. They were very thorough about their cleanup, an area I was concerned about after listening to other new roof horror stories. Only time will tell about the integrity of the workmanship but I don't have any worries about that. I will update my review if anything changes, of course. I highly recommend Roofing By Joe.
