Joe and his wife were great to work with from the start. Very cordial and professional. Joe arrived on time, inspected the roof and gave us a quote within 20 minutes. We felt it was reasonable and asked him to start as soon as possible. I heard back from them within a couple of days that they'd be out to remove the chimney on Wednesday. He came precisely when he promised and did a beautiful job. The shingles are an exact match (minus the weathering, which is to be expected) and we are very pleased to no longer have to look at that awful metal chimney or put up with its leaks! We have a few more years left on the old roof, but when the time comes to replace Roofing by Joe will be the first number I call. Great job, great service.

Joe came in on Saturday 3/16, a day after I called his office, to give me an estimate. Then he scheduled the work for 3/26 and arrived on that day right after it stopped snowing in spite of that day being one of the coldest days we have had this season. They completed the whole job in less than three hours and did it very well. At the end Joe emphasized his work is fully guaranteed and asked me to call him back if anything didn't seem alright.

Everything went really well. Joe was thorough, easy to communicate with, professional. Joe and crew always showed up on time. They worked steadily but didn't look like they were rushing through things. They paid close attention to details. The end results were excellent. We highly recommend his services.

We have had two days of rain since the work was completed and everything looks fine. They arrived on time and assessed the problem within 15-20 minutes.

Because of his high evaluations at Angies List, I called Joe when i first saw a loose shingle in Nov. He was busy and would not be able to come within a week and he recommended Smart Repairs. They came almost immediately and fixed the shingle but showed me a major problem with all of the shingles sliding. Smart Repairs called Joe and he came immediately and gave me a price as the whole roof had a sliding problem due to incorrect installation when the house was built in 1999. Due to bad weather, Christmas holidays, a busy schedule and no emergency on my part, Joe came on Jan 28 and finished the work on the Jan 29th. Work appears to be excellent. They spent more than an hour cleaning up the trash from the job with a special hunt for nails around the house. it is nice to find a contractor who does great work.

Very hard to get on their schedule. But once they scheduled, they were very prompt and professional. I forgot to remind them of the 5% Angie's List Coupon so it did not get applied. Price was very competitive.

They did a good job - the new roof looks great. Once they were able to get to me they worked very fast and only took a couple of days. We had to wait a couple of months for them to get to us, but they were worth the wait.

Great job. Joe was there each of the two days. Joe kept us advised what was occurring. Clean up was fantastic. It looks great!

Called for an estimate along with several others. Joe was not the cheapest but we wanted to go with him because we felt he was the most knowledgeable. We tried to negotiate a better price but were unable to but we still decided to go with Joe. The repair was set up for 10/16 at 8:00 AM but Joe didn't show. We had reserved the entire day for him so we would be home. I called the office a couple of times and there was no answer. His wife finally called me back at 10:30 AM saying that the product had not arrived and she had been dealing with the distributor all morning. She said she was supposed to pick up the product at 7 AM. I asked why they would schedule a job for 8 AM when they weren't even picking up the product until 7 AM that day since the distributor is a half hour away. What if, like now, something went wrong. She said nothing had ever gone wrong before, and that she would call me back by the end of the day or early the next day to let me know when the product would be in so we could reschedule. Several days went by and no phone call. My husband and I have both called and our phone calls have not been returned. I can only assume that they don't really want the business. Most disappointing since all the other reviews on this contractor had been favorable.

The crew showed up as scheduled and promptly started work. The work contracted for was removal and hauling off of the old roof and installation of a new roof. The job took two days. After the roof was replaced, the crew cleaned up my yard, including running a large magnet around the yard to pick up stray roofing nails. By the time they left, my yard was completely cleaned up. They reused flashing, etc as much as possible and replaced the seals around plumbing, etc. The price was exactly what we had agreed to and it was done on the day agreed to. Tough to complain about that. The new roof looks good. It has been on for about a month and I have had no problems with leaks or shingles blowing up. If I have any problems, I will post another review on how Joe honors the warranty. The warranty is a 2 year warranty. I would use them again.

Joe provided a quote that was very fair, not the lowest but low enough to give him an edge. He was very responsive to my requests and made sure that we were on the same page before he began. I was amazed at the speed with which he worked and it looks pretty good. I did walk the roof after he 'finished' and found quite a few nail heads showing; it seemed like perhaps he was going too fast and was not focused on quality. He was happy to go back and cover the nail heads with sealant but I would have preferred if he had just done that from the beginning. However, my main complaint is that Joe treated the young man that was his helper terribly. I was on the roof working on another project while he was working and it seemed like a fairly constant stream of curse words and foul names were directed at his helper. It was not professional and it was just not nice. In total, I would use Joe again. The price was right and he did a decent job

The job was completed very quickly taking less than two days; the end result was a fine looking roof and clean-up was excellent. The only minor complaint was a slowness in responding to phone calls whilst we were negotiating the details of the job and contract. Also, more for interest, Joe's contract papers state that if you wish to make changes to the contract you may send a telegram to him. I doubt if many people know how to send a telegram these days. An email address would have been most useful. Both Joe and his wife were very pleasant to work with, and very knowledgeable on all the aspects of the job.

Other than being 3 hours late getting started I couldn't have asked for a better job. Roof looked great and they cleaned up so well you couldn't even tell they had been there.

When I called Roofing by Joe, their scheduled openings didn't mesh with mine, but they recommended someone else. I did hire the other business and was very pleased by what they had done, and our gutters are working great. I would recommend Roofing by Joe, we were very impressed with them and their willingness to make a recommendation for another small business.

Joe was able to find the source of our leak and repair my roof for just 75 dollars, he did the work right then and we are very pleased.

All contact from beginning was very professional and prompt. His wife is a sweetheart in setting things up. We are just now seeing the roof or we wouldhave reviewed earlier. I highly recommend Joe.

They are supposed to come by the 15th of this month to do the work. Their quote was right in the middle. They got behind because of the weather but I knew it would be at least 30 days when he gave me the quote. They came when they said they would for the quote. They were very professional.

Never met in person-- we were able to conduct all the business over the phone. I was not on site while the work was being completed. He did what he said he would do in a timely fashion. He worked quickly and the final product was very well done.

Made appointment. Showed on time. Surveyed the roof. Explained the need to remove and replace all shingles. Discussed option of changing to all metal roof. He was thorough in his explanations and accurate with information. I have worked on roofs for Habitat for Humanity and considered doing the work myself. He left me with his proposal in writing.

I called for an estimate and Joe was proffessional and concise. He arrived on time and was very knowledgable and thorough. He and his crew were on the roof for a while, and they were very patient with my questions. They pinpointed the problem and explained in detail how to repair the roof. Their proffessionalism was appreciated and valued. I would highly reccomend this company.

Joe promptly came out and looked at it and gave us an estimate that we accepted. A few days later, he came back and fixed it - for the price quoted. All in a few hours. No more water leak.

I called Roofing by Joe a few weeks earlier and they were booked solid with work. Because I had such a good experience with Joe before, I waited and called yesterday (Friday) and asked if he could come out to look at some shingles that had broken off my roof and look at a gutter issue I was having. Joe came out the next day (on a Saturday) and fixed up the shingles, cleaned the gutters, and answered all my questions about my gutters' performance. He charged me $50 but I gave him $60 because he was prompt and came out on a Saturday. I plan to use Joe for all my roofing problems in the future.
