My sister-in-law recently bought a home in Etowah which she needed to update, especially the bathrooms. We hired Paco's Custom Tile & Stone to re-tile both bathroom floors and convert a tub to a walk-in shower with new tiled walls, shower floor, and curb. She specified Schluter's waterproof system with Quadec curb and wall edge metal trim. We're very pleased with the results. Very good balance between costs and aesthetics.

Great experience. From the initial estimate to final completion perfect. I have 35 years of experience as a general contractor. Paco and his craftsman are among the best I have worked with. Paco is a real tile expert, communicates well and is very responsive. His employees are well trained and work hard to keep job clean. Workmanship can't be matched. The price was very competitive and he is also highly recommended by tile suppliers in the area.

Excellent. I told him I needed the work done in 3 days and Paco came with a big crew and knocked off quickly. The quality of the work was excellent. I was going to buy the the tile. He offered to buy it and passed on the 40% savings

Paco was very responsive and communicated with me during the entire process. His crew worked hard to install the floors in record time. It looks beautiful and we like it so much more than the old floors. I would highly recommend Paco and his team!

It didn't go. They never showed up.

Only complaint was that we were in a rotation of work. Understandable that things had to be paused...dry cement etc but once out of the rotation had to wait a bit...

Paco left a message the day before the appointment asking if they could come at lunch time or early afternoon - but at 3:30pm the day of the appt. I had to call them - still had not heard from anyone and had been sitting there waiting for hours. Finally his crew (2 guys) showed up. When I asked how much 300 sq ft would cover - wondering if the bathroom floor could be done also - they started talking in spanish but never answered me. Asked about the caulking along the tub and they said they didn't have any with them because they were not made aware that I'd requested it. Even though I have copies of emails sent asking about it and the pictures of it that Paco asked me to send. So they then tried to use a bag of old grout I had in my shed to do the repair work around the tub. The very next day it was chipping and cracking off even though I waited the full 24 hours before using the shower like they instructed me to. Now it looks worse than ever. I contacted Paco via his email on Angie's List telling him what was happening and asking if they could please come back and use caulking to ensure it is sealed up. I was even willing to pay to have it done to be sure it was sealed. He has never respond. He got his money and obviously could care less. And I found it disrespectful that his two workers had conversations in spanish every time I asked questions but several times ignored what I was saying. What was all that about? The back of the shower where they cleaned the grout looks god but around the faucet it is still discolored - so all in all a really bad investment and poor service!

He never showed up, did not call. Finally answered my call and want me to wait an additional 35 minutes when he was already 30 minutes late.

My guest house has a shower that started leaking out of the walls, I had no idea what was going on. They came by and were extremely kind and professional. They ended up just telling me it is something little( I have to just replace the shower valve because it was rotted) and did not charge me. I was very surprised and very happy thinking this was going to be an expensive fix. I TRUST them and will be using them in the future.

Paco and his crew, Dennis and Rego were attentive to detail, and flexible to work completion. Tiling is one big puzzle and there is always one area that would be problematic, which is how I judge the quality of work. We are very happy with the result. (I just completed one of our other bathroom and that is how I can judge the tile work)

While it took some time before Paco returned our initial phone call and emails, he did eventually reply and was punctual on the agreed-upon date. His two workers did an excellent and thorough job of cleaning the tile and grout throughout both of our bathrooms. The work took two hours with mainly his two workers here, so @$25/hour (= 4 labor hours), it was a good value for a professional job that went beyond normal housecleaning. So excellent service + so-so initial responsiveness (based of course on being busy) = a good deal.

I contacted Paco through Angie's List messaging service to schedule an appointment for an estimate on floor tile installation. He responded a couple of days later and we picked a date (6/5/15) and a time frame (1:00-4:00). He said he would call 30 minutes before arrival. I provided him with my address and phone number but never heard from him on the scheduled day. Have not heard from him since.

Paco replaced the tiles on the hearth of the fireplace. Week or so later some in the front became loose and separated. He came back about a week later and regrouted. Few weeks later tiles came loose on one side of the hearth, called, he said he would come back few days later, nine a.m. I waited, he never showed. That happened couple of more times, never showed, never regrouted, never mind the time I sat there waiting for him to come, having said he'd be there between eight and nine a.m., or whatever time. He did a beautiful job on the tile originally, just never followed through and regrouted. And so it sits!!! Unfortunate!

We talked and he said he would call me before he came out the next day to see the job and give me a bid. I stayed home, he NEVER called and he NEVER showed up. This is very disappointing because he had been highly recommended by several neighbors. This is 4 days later, and still no phone call to apologize. BAD BUSINESS PRACTISE!!

Two men worked tirelessly for five days. Excellent work ethic, friendly, professional. Cleaned up as much as possible after messy parts of the job. We'd gotten an estimate for the shower surround, then asked Paco to replace the floor tile as well. We were delighted at the final price which was definitely lower than what we'd anticipated it might be. Both the shower tile and floor tile look wonderful, tiles are laid well, and grout sealed. In addition, they replaced flooring under the toilet when they found that it needed repair. They also installed a grab bar in the shower and Paco re-grouted part of the shower stall in our additional bathroom. We could not recommend Paco and his crew more highly! Their energy, trustworthiness, and craftsmanship was admirable. We would re-hire them in a heartbeat.

Went very well. I recommended Paco's to a friend who was also very impressed. Will definitely use Paco's again.

Paco and his assistants, Felix and Luis were prompt and quick and did an excellent job. This is the second time that we have used Paco's service and will continue to do so. You cannot go wrong with Paco's Tile and Stone.

Paco's crew was professional and attentive. The cleaning was thorough and detailed our floors look brand new! Thank you Paco and Angie's List!
