Makeover My Yard!

It went well. The only problem we had was that we didn't like color of the retaining wall, and that it didn't match the photo they showed us before work began. To rectify the problem, they changed the color of the caps and border, and added six more shrubs. It looks beautiful, and functions just the way we wanted. The quality of the workmanship is top-notch.

Eric listened to what my style preference was and what kinds of plants I liked. His design was right on the money and I absolutely love the look. It has down poured since the installation and no erosion! I will be hiring them back to redo my entire yard....as long as the plants don't die on this first go around. They do not warranty the plants. That's the only I'm uneasy about.

Evan came out and listened to my ideas and drew up a plan of how a patio could look, he included GREAT ideas (that I did not even think of) like up-lights in the trees, a firepit and a complete outdoor kitchen (including a pizza oven!!!). I ended up deciding on going through with the proposal and within exactly the amount of time promised MakeOverMyYard completed the work. In several areas in my humble opinion, they went above and beyond what the "contract" required, including planting grass on the path where they passed their tools and equipment. I have since entertained on my brand new patio several times and it is definitely the HIT of the neighborhood! Thank you Evan, thank you MakeOverMyYard!!!

work was done professionally and on time. All work done looks great and company offered to return promptly if any issues arise. So far all plants and trees seem to be flourishing as expected. can not wait till spring to see the plants and trees in full bloom.

great, the work was done in a very professional manor. there was a lot of clean out that needed done before the landscaping project could be done and at the end of each day the yard was left neat and clean. Final work completed and looking great. We have requested some additional items to be added which they are working on getting us bids for. would highly recommend

MMY are awesome, and I highly recommend them to anyone. They have a great team who are all very easy to work with, and the crew is very professional and very conscientious about their work. They installed a 230 sq ft paver patio for us in our back yard, which looks great. I worked with Katie on the design concept, and we were given ideas and options for materials and planting. We then scheduled the work and the crew did their job very well. They do things properly, and have a very high standard, which I love. I've used them 3 times over the past few years which tells you a lot. They don't cut corners, and provide excellent service. Special mention to Brian, Katie, Evan and Brett. My 'go to' company for landscaping needs from here on!

Katie is the best. She came out to our home on several occassions to understand what we had in mind, our preferences, the style of garden and to survey the grounds. She came up with an excellent design that fits our property. She listens, asks pertinent questions, and responds with picutres of what she has in mind. When we had suggestions to rework various areas she was open to comments and made the necessary changes. We scheduled a mutually convenient time to install the garden. The installation team arrived on time and worked steadily to complete the garden within the planning window. Evan layed out the garden and placed the plants, bridge, fountain and steps perfectly. We didn't have to realign any of the plants or bed layouts. The plants were placed in the right symetry and design as planned. It was so hot while they installed the garden, but the workers kept at the work, taking times for breaks as needed. I was concerned that the irrigation system would be set up properly. However the layout of the design seems to work very well. Several weeks have passed since installation and we are enjoying the gardens very much. Despite the very hot temperatures and dry conditions that plants seemed to have taken. What we need now is natural rainfall! I would definitely use Make Over My Yard again. As we continue to devleop our property Katie will be the designer we will consult with! Katie, Evan, and installation team, thanks for a job well done!!

It is an absolute thing of beauty. Brett and his crew did a fantastic job that far exceeded the expectations of my wife and I. They were on time, ready to work, had positive attitudes, kept me informed, did an outstanding job and was very professional. Brett was the foreman and made sure that I understood everything that was going on and Katie, which was the young lady that did the design with me stopped by to ensure that I was getting the exact product and design that we discussed. The Make Over My Yard crew did a wonderful job from start to finish.

Everything went exactly as planned and discussed. The work crew was punctual, friendly, and actually worked hard and efficiently. I was shocked and extremely impressed with the level of service provided when they swept and hosed off the street each day at the end of their shift. It isn't every company that has employees who care to do these little things. I have waited a few weeks to post this, hoping for a good, heavy rain storm, and Mother Nature has provided. We had monsoon type rains recently and I couldn't be happier with the drainage results. We finally had no standing water when all was said and done. The sod has taken very well and is ready to get mowed for the first time. We couldn't be more pleased with the service, the work, and the entire process of dealing with Makeover My Yard! We requested bids from three providers. One didn't bother to show up, and the other two were competitive with each other. The difference came down to responsiveness from Makeover My Yard as well as willingness to take a smaller job while we save for the larger project of getting a new patio installed as well as other plant landscaping work. We will most definitely be repeat customers!

Fourth time using Makeover My Yard for a residential project. Paver walkway first discussed last fall during landscaping project. Provided very detailed explanation of work to be done and estimated cost. Revisited this spring using the previously discussed plan. Work took 3-4 days to complete an 80'L x 3.5'W walkway plus trenching. Very happy with end result. They are excellent communicators, both via email and phone. They want to make sure you're happy with the process and final product. Katie, the designer, is an excellent listener. Listens to what you want, and creates a plan that best works with it. Brian, the owner, is very involved with with construction phase, and would stop by once per day to check the status and make sure the workmanship met his standards. Price was competitive with others, but feel like they set themselves apart from others with their customer service skills. They truly want to make sure you're happy with their work. I've referred them to one neighbor for a landscape project and two other neighbors for paver projects. All of them are very happy with the process and product too. Would highly recommend to others.

They arrived on time every day and worked long hours (past 5) to get the work done. They even brought a large tent to work under on a day that we had light rain! They answered any questions we had through out the project and encouraged good communication. The project was completed in the time frame we were given. We are very p!eased with the finished project. We will definitely call Make over my Yard for any projects in the future and will definitely recommend them for any outdoor projects.

They came 2 work days later and started the job and then finished it the next day. They were very careful to put down plywood so the wheel barrels used to removed dirt and then add back the replacement top soil and sod didn't damage the rest of the yard. The sod helped keep the back yard usable for our dogs and the overall job was completed as committed, on time, and looks beautiful. And even more important, the drainage problem is totally resolved. I would definitely use Makeover My Yard again for complex lawn and landscaping solutions again..

MMY did an outstanding job, the quality of the work was excellent, they were on time and easy to deal with. They finished the job in 6 working days as promised. We were unsure of the Pavers that we wanted to use so we entrusted them to make our selections based on our house, the design and colors they chose were excellent, the final product turned out fantastic.

Katie came to my house after I called and explained I had landscaping needs. We walked the beds and talked about what I wanted to get done. She made notes as we talked and then took pictures and measurements. She emailed an estimate with explanations about what work would be completed and plants that would be installed. i asked her to come back by just to be sure we were on the same page. We discussed the specific plants I liked. Later that day she sent a drawing of all beds with the layout of everything that included the plants. Katie's choice of plants were excellent. Work began the next day with old plants being removed and beds being amended and tilled. The following day stones and plants arrived and were installed and mulching began. The third day everything was completed. I found everyone at Make Over My Yard was polite and well mannered. Every request was fulfilled even as I made changes during the project. I would recommend them for any landscape needs and will use them as needed in the future.

Working with this company was a great experience. Do begin by calling and requesting an on site visit by their design team and being an active participant in the project.

Great experience overall. Very punctual and answered any questions during the entire process. Great attention to detail even with clean up afterwards. We also appreciated the follow up communication after the work was completed to make sure there weren't any concerns. Higlhy recommend.

I can't say enough about the dedication and passion for their projects. They do awesome work. If I had to complain (and its not a huge complaint) is that they hire more workers. They have so much work at times it seems they spread themselves thin, but the owner is a stickler for perfection and quality of their jobs. I had some major technical issues come up with my project having to do with being in a town home and HOA issues, but that didn't stop him or his crews from making sure the "fit & finish" of my patio project met my satisfaction and more so it seemed, a project that exemplifies the a "makeover my yard" project. I found out about them through a referral and there was high praise that followed that referral. I see why having gone through the experience myself. Again, when my project was done it was probably in the high demand summer months, but despite some scheduling issues and missed calls, the owner more than made up for it by "doing the right thing" because a happy and satisfied customer mattered the most. In summary, it was a pleasure working with Makeover My Yard.

Brian's team was very professional and always kept me updated with what was going on. They put in some hard work and it turned out beautifully!

In general, I was pretty happy. They did a nice job on the patio and a nice job laying the stone and what not. I did not get the value that I thought I was going to get with the landscaping. I know I did not get the value as I did some pricing of the plants that they had put in and I could buy the same ones at Lowe's for half of what they charged me. Several of the plants have died and I've had to take them out and replace them. They also put in a tree and they said it would look better and it really has not. I think it is going to live but the leaves were all brown and shriveled and most of the tree is still the same way. I hope it is going to recover or I will have to replace that as well. The only item I was unhappy with was the landscaping as the stonework with the patio looks good. If I used them in the future, I would not use them for any plants. I kept bringing the plants to their attention and they were not very responsive and when they did respond they said it was normal.

They cancelled on me five times and did not show up four times. There was miscommunication among the employees, but they kept making mistakes. There was always an excuse why they were not showing up. They finally did show up and planted the bushes, the trees, laid down the soil, and the pine needles. Within two days everything washed away. I called them up and they didn't believe me until I sent them pictures. They finally did come back two and a half weeks later, and told me "I got what I paid for." He said he'd do me a favor and come down and fix his work, as well as put some extra bales of pine needles. Another rainstorm came and it washed away again. I called because my junipers were yellowing. He knew I was on vacation, and he still told me that I over-watered the bushes. He then told me I had under-watered the bushes. Two separate answers from the same person. He did come out to replace it, and, again, not enough soil and it washed away. They made a few recommendations for saving the junipers, even though it was under warranty. The consistency of the dirt is hard as rock. They did bare minimum of what was quoted to me. I had to go out and get more soil to put around all the bushes. I have wells and holes, which I pointed out to the father-in-law, and he said someone else must have stepped there and created those holes. The owner of the company has not come to my home to inspect the work, he sends his father-in-law who doesn't have any experience in landscaping. Please do not allow them to move your sprinklers as it will cost you more in the future! Just read his reply and got a very hardy laugh. There is a reason why his employee moved on to another company. Never once did the owner come over my house apologize, recognize, correct the situation, or even take responsibility. Buyer beware!!!!

I wanted a 12 ft x 12 ft Pergola built over my Paver patio so I got three bids from top Angie's List providers. Brian is the owner of the Company. His bid was only slightly higher than the lowest and because he has a good reputation on Angie's List, I chose him. Brian came out the first day and explained everything in great detail to me so we would be on the same page. I asked for the ends of the top beams to have a different cut, more fancy and paid a little extra, along with spacing the to 2 x 2's at 3 inches instead of 6 for more shade. Brian is very knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. He aims to please all his customers. His crew was very efficient. I now have a very good looking extremely well built Pergola. I highly recommend MakeOver My Yard for all your Landscaping needs.

I emailed this vendor on April 27th with specs of the job I wanted done. I requested a quote. As of today, May 8th, I have not received a reply.

Estimate and initial contact were excellent. Follow up customer service was horrendous. Based on this alone, I would not recommend going with this company. Also, was informed they recently changed their products because previous products were faulty. Lack of follow up communication and news about previous products fading in sunlight were enough red flags to go in another direction.

Brian and his team are total professionals. They do what they say within the estimated time. I went through 3-4 bids and everyone except Brian estimated 6-8 weeks but Brian said 3-4 weeks and they were on target. They dedicate their crew to see that the work is done and they were on site from 7:30 am to dusk. Not like other contractors where you don't know if they are showing up for the day or not. They are here unless weather gets in the way. Evan and Brian work with you to try to understand what you want and how you want to use the area. Brian knew I wanted my dream fireplace and he gave me one that we have enjoyed with friends and family. It is our focal point. They are very responsive to questions you have, not making you feel like you are bothering them. I have enjoyed the space now for over a year and couldn't be happier.
