The initial visit was performed by a very young and inexperienced plumber. He had never seen the kind of faucet we had with the extremely long valve seats, so he wasn't able to diagnose the problem. That's ok not everyone knows everything. He called a more experienced plumber working in the area and he knew right away what it was and that the parts were no longer available. I was glad the younger guy was able to say, "I don't know." and call someone. Better that than trying a repair over his head. As I mentioned before the second visit went very well. I would say they're probably a little pricier, but you get a quality and timely service in return!

I have used their $25 discount that was provided on Angie’s List. I have had a very good experience with them. They were very professional. They tested the washing machine if there was clog in the drain and after they removed it they tested it several times just to make sure that it worked correctly. Their parts are good and they probably have a 30 days warranty on it too.

Awesome service! Had both problems fixed in no time and for a more than reasonable price. The guys told me everything going on with the toilet tank as well as the facuet.

We used them initially for a leaky toilet which they repaired and then caulked the toilet to floor. Per all the Holmes on Homes and DIY type shows they say to NEVER caulk a toilet to the floor. Then we called them for a quote to replace a power vented gas hot water heater and their price was crazy high. We went with Bill Bradley and were very happy.

The next month I phoned and placed the order and set up the delievery date and time. Mark and his staff were on time, prepared to drain the existing equipment, wrestle it down the narrow stairs from the attic. The covered my carpets with plastic and removed and installed the new water heater in under two hours. No scratches on walls or nicks in paint. Because the install took less time than anticipated, Mark brought the project in under his original estimate and so my price went down $200 to $1,100. I really think I found a plumber to trust - I am thrilled and Eastern will be the first call I make should I have a problem. Fair, professional, willing to educate the consumer, on time, cleaned up after themselves and made sure to commit no damage while they were in my house. How fabulous is that? Recommend, highly!

Evaluation of the back-flow preventer was conducted and results were reported to Greenville Utilities company. Repair of the leaking toilet was conducted in 2011 and the solar water heating system was removed in June 2012. All work was completed efficiently and at reasonable cost. Office and plumbing staff members are knowledgeable and personable. We will use their services in the future.

Called and asked for appointmen,t it was a week out but I was just putting in a new toilet in a house that has three so there was no rush. The service man was on time, very polite and respectful. Did the job quickly and left everything clean. Pleased to finally find a plumbing company, hope the good relationship continues as I had been seraching for a while, choose them based on reviews here at Angie's list.

We had a disaster. Water from the upstairs washing machine had come up through the toilet on the bottom floor, water everywhere. Had to use every towel in the house to get it up. Brian came out after hours, worked very hard and fixed the problem. He was very nice, knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely go back to them. Even bought and signed a service contract.

I called Eastern Plumbing a little after 8:00am on a Monday morning because a friend had recommended them to me. The man I spoke to was courteous and professional and said that he would have someone out to my home that afternoon to address two separate minor plumbing issues. No one ever showed and I did not receive a phone call.....still waiting two weeks later! Hope that means they are very business and do good work for the people they get to.

They were prompt. They carried out the inspection, made the repairs, and there were no further problems.

They did not do the work for me and I ended up doing the work myself, but they provided me with a fair assessment. I would use them again in the future if I needed.

All five problems were fixed that day, but after Mark left I realized that he had replaced my toilet insides with new ones which were much shorter and allowed for a much smaller amount of water to be collected in the back tank. It was difficult to flush completely with one flush. So Mark came out a second time and replaced these with "Kohler flappers", which allowed much more water for flushing. Unfortunately, one of the outside faucets started leaking again and I had to call Mark out a third time. He replaced an O-ring in the faucet handle, and that seemed to do the trick. I was pleased that this company stands by its work and doesn't attempt the most expensive "fix" first. A few years ago I had one of my other outside faucets which leaked fixed--but they cut off the handle and re-soldered the replacement, which cost over $250. Now I wonder if that faucet could have been fixed by "repacking". I graded the company a "B" on punctuality because on Mark's second visit, he was an hour late and neither he nor the company called me. What made matters worse was they were having a problem with their phones so I could not call in to them and leave a message if no one answered. Overall, though, I felt that I received very good service and will use this company again.

They were very friendly. It was a simple fix and they didn’t even charge me.

I found mold in a closet wall and called eastern plumbing. They were out that day about 30 min late.My plumber opened up 3 spots in the wall before finding the pipe fitting in the ceiling, He replaced the fitting and explained that the water was running down the pipe and puddling on floor. He did well explaining it and was quick with his service.

Replaced old water heater with a new one. They provided same day service and were easy to work with. They gave us a quote before installing which was very resonable, especially since it required two guys and was in a tight space under house. They were prompt and professional! We will definitely use eastern Plumbing again and will recommend them to neighbors and friends.

Drain lines in an old house (ca. 1929) get clogged. I call, they work us in that same day. They came and rodded out the main drain line and suggested that we go ahead and replace the old terra cotta pipes and put in a real clean-out access. I know we need to do this, but cannot afford it right now..would involve digging up the line from the house to the street, etc. No complaints against them at all. They have a great receptionist at the office and everyone does a great job. I guess that's why they cost more!

We had an intermittent drain problem. Toilets sometimes did not flush without plunging. When I called, the receptionist was very polite, took my information, and said someone would be there in about an hour. The repairman arrived promptly and started work. He was there less than 45 minutes. My only objection is the cost. $170 and some change is a lot for 45 minutes, especially since the job was not a highly skilled task. My cardiologist charges less per hour (maybe I'll see if he does any home plumbing - lol). 4/12/2012 After reading the response from Eastern Plumbing, I wish to add: 1. I am the person that requested service. I gave them contact information to reach me. 2. I was not in the office when the service was done. Any signatures obtained before or after the service was not from anyone authorized to request or pay for services. I was not contacted. 3. The price was NOT quoted up front. I would seem fair and courteous that the provider tell the customer up front what the price will be if it is readily known from their "flat rate pricing". This act alone could have avoided a less than satisfactory experience. I hope the provider will consider this for future clients. 4. The written response by Eastern Plumbing is the first time that I or anyone in the office has heard that a camera inspection was done and the results of the inspection. Also, no on in the office uses feminine napkins, and the inspection was done after the drain was supposedly cleared.

EASTERN PLUMBING - Water Heaters Eastern Plumbing, came out checked out the water heater seen it was no good, he went and bought a new one, came back and installed it. He took out the old water heater and clean up everything (rusted water and dirty pipes) afterwards. He was very nice and very professional.

EASTERN PLUMBING Eastern Plumbing, came to do our water heater 8 years ago when we moved in. He was so professional, and cleaned up after himself that we use him again. They also sent Bryan out here and he is very professional, very, very nice, easy to deal with and did a thorough job. Was here exactly when he said he would be and he found the problem.

Everything went very smoothly. The repairmen showed up when they said they would and were very professional.

Don't expect them to show up on item, or more importantly give you a call to let you know that they won't make an appointment. They told me they were out at my house at 3:30, but I was standing in the driveway and the inspector called me at 3:45 to tell me he was late. Not sure how he could be at my house at 3:30 and call me to tell me he was behind schedule? They tried to stick to that story too. I guess I don't know how to read my watch.

Called for an appointment, they scheduled for 5 days later. They arrived on time, reviewed things to be done, provided an estimate and proceeded to complete the various chores. Cleaned up after themselves, polite, professional, and extremely pleasant. Hauled away all trash.

The appointment was an hour window and they showed up a few minutes early, got right to work, and finished in 30 minutes or so. Great experience, would absolutely recommend and use again.They also have coupons in the phone book for $25 off service.
