BEWARE OF EASTERN PLUMBING!!!!!!!!My mother was extremely satisfied with Jeff and his professionalism for years but the owner and receptionist were horrible. My mother told me the receptionist had been very nasty with her one time a few years back with an emergency issue but Jeff was so nice she decided to let it go and keep using them. And we have used them on multiple occasions since then. After years of being loyal customers giving many many referrals (several family members and close friends)and thousands of dollars spent the owner showed his true colors. I’m a recently retired from the US Army out of Ft Bragg’s Special Warfare Center and School with 20 years of service and multiple combat deployments. Just to give some perspective and background. I attempted to address the issue with the owner after I had an issue with the receptionist myself while scheduling an estimate for my aunt’s bathroom remodel and repair. The receptionist was extremely rude during initial contact but I went through with scheduling. When no one showed up and I called she gave all these excuses about wrong phone numbers etc. I knew her background from not only my mother but other customers and employees. So I went over the phone number several times during the initial contact and had her repeat it to me. After several hours of wasted time because of the no-show the owner came for the estimate. Once I went over the issues with the receptionist he placed all the blame on me rather than accept the fact he has some serious issues with his employee. I will not go into the disrespect I encountered regarding my military service as I provided background to the owner in an attempt to assist in fixing the issues with his incompetence as well as his receptionist. But what I will do is start WARNING as many military veterans and elderly potential customers in the Greenville and New Bern areas about my family’s disgusting customer service experience. DO NOT USE EASTERN PLUMBING!!!!!!!!!!

Service was performed quickly and efficiently. Serviceman was very courteous.

Hard to get parts were found and replaced. Excellent job.

I felt as though I was interrupting them. I wanted to know how it worked and they told me to look at the book. I understand they have a good reputation, and I might have caught them on an off day.

We were quoted $500 to fix leak/plumbing only, or $5,000 to replace shower stall on 2nd floor. We had the work done by another company for half the price. Had a new shower stall put in.

Eastern Plumbing sent out Jeff a week prior to the work to give me an estimate, which costs up front but is removed from the cost if you agree to have the work done by them. Jeff was very professional and was able to do the estimate relatively quick and understood exactly what we wanted accomplished. Jeff gave me the estimate and said to talk it over with the wife and give the office a call if we wanted to schedule the work. He also stated that if we scheduled it, he would be the service rep doing the work. I called the same day to schedule the work for the following week. On the day of the scheduled work, Jeff arrived ontime and proceeded to get to work. He was polite enought to entertain any questions I had while he was working. He took the time to show me the shutoff values for the new plumbing in the barn and explained to me what he did. My wife and I were pleased with the work done by Jeff and Eastern Plumbing. My wife and I really do like the "up front" estimate that Eastern Plumbing gave us. There was no hidden surprises/costs on the day of the job.

Thee service went well, will definitely call this company again.

Eastern Plumbing arrived at my rental property one day after I called (it was not an emergency.) Mark was prompt and very courteous. He called to confirm work and price. He then called to confirm the work was completed and since it took less time, he discounted the quoted price. I could not be more pleased with their professionalism. Would definitely use again.

I have had them change fixtures and they replaced our hot water tank with a tankless gas model that was mounted outside the house (no more leaking tanks inside!) They are wonderful and honest.

They came the same day, at the promised time and did everything very well.

I called Eastern Plumbing this morning asking for a service call for a leaking bathtub faucet. They were able to send someone within a couple hours. I appreciated their professionalism, responsiveness and punctuality. They called prior to coming, as agreed. Brian was friendly and knowledgeable. He advised me on needed repairs, performed a couple of minor repairs and did not pressure me to make a decision right then & there on how I wanted to proceed. Once I get over the sticker shock for a new faucet, I will proceed with having the work done by them.

Please note I don't remember the exact date but it was May 2014. John was so nice & he did a great job. He worked really hard at unclogging our sink & getting the garbage disposal working. He offered to clean up but I told him not to bother. He gave me helpful tips as to what not to do & what not to put down the disposal so this doesn't happen again. He even put up with my friendly but wild dogs. That meant a lot to me as I did my best to control them & he recognized my efforts. Thanks John!

He was very professional and friendly. After the work was completed he cleaned up the work area. Everything was done to my satisfaction.

Did not take away old garbage disposal (put in my small kitchen trash can). Felt price was too expensive for services rendered.

We called the office after he left because we had a sink issue. He went under the sink and snaked it out and got the water running properly. The snake got stuck while he was using it but he got it out and the sink worked perfectly. He was clean, very neat, and did a great job.

We moved into a home with an issue that the home inspector missed. The half bath downstairs kept making an odd sound in the sink every time the toilet was flushed. We tried snaking and plunging but it did not solved the issue. We called Eastern Plumbing and they resolved the issue right away. My Angie's list coupon was accepted and paid a balance of 119.86.

This was on a weekend....a wet hardwood floor-- when I walked into the kitchen,opened the cabinet and found 2 inches of water throughout the cabinet,all supplies wet, a mess. Responded in an hour and stayed for about 3hours.

I chose to have him do it thus saving me from having to go to Lowe's and purchase a switch and then call an electrician to come and install the it thus saving me some time and additional money. James, the repair man, is a very polite young man and his work is very thorough and neat. I am very pleased with his work.

The appointment was at 2pm and they called to see if they could come early. Brian was there at 12, very friendly and got right to work. He gave a few suggestions, answered all of my questions and was done faster than I expected! He accepted my $25 off coupon and I have no complaints at all! He will be my first call for any other plumbing service needed!

Our main water line ruptured under our house. Eastern came out the next day and provided an estimate. They returned on the date stated (the only negative I can say is that was 6 days, which just means they were busy), on time, and replaced the line from the meter to the house's main above ground copper pipe. They finished the job quickly, and quietly, backfilled the trench they dug and re-planted a few plants displaced during the repair. The price was as quoted, and the work was warranted for a year. This is how it's supposed to go, I think, and I would use them again.
