They did well, we had no complaints. They were prompt, and were not pushy regarding repairs.

Service person arrived exactly on-time and introduced himself. He used shoe covers and proceeded directly to the basement to work on the furnace. As there was an outside door to the basement, he requested permission to use that door so as to avoid having to go through the living spaces of the house. He spent about one hour cleaning the furnace parts and adjusting controls. He replaced the filter as part of the service at no additional charge. He was polite, professional, and appeared very competant throught the visit. He informed me that the maintenance for the air conditioning system would be performed in the Spring. I was very impressed with his professionalism and happy that I had chosen to purchase a yearly service contract.

They have been really good. We are very satisfied with them. They have taken care of our house for nineteen years. We had to replace this unit which was for two floors and they took care of it and did a great job. This house has three floors and the previous unit heated and cooled the second and third floor. We have another unit which they put in several years ago on the first floor which was an outside gas pack. It cost much and the reason it cost so much was because then the standards in North Carolina were that we had to do zoning. Our second and third floors were done by one furnace and it wasn't zoned with thermostats on the third floor. What they had to do was they had to totally zone the second and third floor with the one furnace and it was all like automatic. Everything changes by the way we set the temperature which was not the way the furnace was before, so they had to do that and I think that was an additional $1400 and it came up to about $7000. The furnace was up under the eaves, so they had to dismantle all that and take it all out. It wasn't just like the downstairs furnace which was about half that price. They had to redo a lot of things. It is really nice. We are very satisfied with it and we are very satisfied with the workmanship. We have had them before since our house was built in 1992. We just kept them. It was a lot of work because they had to make some changes and things like that. It was quite a massive job. I think the guys were here like three days. They were very professional and they really knew what they were doing. They had their own inspectors. My husband went up and looked at everything they were doing too and he said their craftsmanship was excellent. Everything was cleaned up. There was no mess. We had no mess to deal with or anything. They had to take everything up to the third floor because it was up under the eaves on the third floor. There are two finished rooms up there, so they had to go through a little doorway to get in there and work. It wasn't the easiest thing in the world to do. They were very careful about what they did. Actually for inspection we have our own carbon monoxide detectors and they installed more because they said that was what the inspector was going to request. It was fine with us because the house is gas heated, so they installed more carbon monoxide detectors than what we had. Everything was fine. The air conditioning worked right. My granddaughter has her bedroom on the third floor. She can do the heating and air conditioning to her likes or dislikes. I don't have to run it at the same temperature for both floors anymore. It zones. Up on the third floor even though it is insulated it becomes warmer. We are really happy with the unit. It has been really great so far. It is very quiet. The other one was noisier. We have been with them for nineteen years. They are very prompt. They have done two furnace installations for us. One was about four or five years ago which was an outdoor gas pack which we really have enjoyed and have got no problem with. We get our furnace checked in the fall and we get our air conditioning checked in spring which is a good thing. We do regular maintenance. It is well worth it. The one upstairs almost lasted nineteen years. It was an extremely hot spring. My husband and I don't care about not having the air conditioning that much but our son and granddaughter especially her up on the third floor it was really horrid and they come out if we call them with an emergency or anything like that. We have never had to call them over a weekend or anything like that because we have had maintenance on it. When we get inspected if anything goes wrong, I think it is like after thirty days there is no charge for another service call because they have inspected the units but if something goes wrong in a certain period of time, when they come out to repair we only have to pay for the parts and things like that because we sign up for a contract with them every year. We stayed with them because they did the original installation and they would have the original information on it. We would continue to use them in the future.

I have had a service agreement with them for years where they come to service my system in the spring and fall. Typically they do preventive maintenance and it has worked very well. I have stuck with them because they seem dependable and they are here when they say they are going to be. I ask for a certain technician by name because I have used him for a long time and he does a great job. I could probably find something cheaper if I shopped around, but I want someone I can trust if something goes wrong. They have a 30 guarantee on their work and the service agreement gets me priority if something goes wrong.

They are very responsive and professional.

I got them from Angie's List. Moreover, I have been dealing with them for three to four years. They contact me when the service is due and arrange for the time for the technician to come. I like that, as I do not have to keep up with it. They are always very professional. They put booties on their feet so that they do not muck up my floors. They have always done an excellent job for me. Since they have me on their contract, anytime I have an emergency they are here the same day. I do not have to wait. As far as their services are concerned, if I am on a one-year contract with them I get a discount and I move to the top of the line if I have an emergency.

We have a service contract for $250 for a year where they check all the systems and change the filters. They have always been excellent. We've never priced anybody else for the annual service. We got 4 or 5 other estimates for putting in the system and they were the best. They were prompt and did it all in one day. They cleaned up all the mess. They were very responsive and we will absolutely continue to use them.

Installation crew was excellent. Have used this company for preventive maintenance since 2001. Professional organization with well-trained and knowledgeable employees.

Responded quickly during peak season. Was given estimate and truthful advice on which unit was best for us. Another company only gave us an estimate on the upgraded model and didn't even tell us that there was a lower priced model without the part on top that helped keep leaves out of unit (we have no trees!) The installers came out as scheduled and got to work quickly. They put sheets down on carpet and cleaned up all of their messes before they left. The job took about 5 hours and the guys did a great job. Paperwork for federal rebate was provided and rebate from Duke Energy was processed through their office. Overall we had a very good experience with this company. I would highly recommend them.

AC compressor was not running efficiently and freezing up. Called at 4:30pm the previous day and they were out by 11:30am. Checked compressor, explained why it might be low on freon. Didn't try to sell additional unneeded services. Though not necessary, wore booties in the house when adjusting the thermostat.

This is a Bryant heat pump/ac unit. I'm told it was purchased and installed during a brief time when Mr. Williamson sold the company and then repurchased it. The unit looks like it was assembled by a pack of cub scouts. The electric wiring was found (by another company) to be totally faulty and dangerous. We hired an electrician to repair that, wanting to be sure it was safe. When first looking at the thick folder of previous repairs (which weren't revealed until after closing), I was shocked. After numerous breakdowns (at least one per season, typically on the hottest and coldest days of the year!), I brought in another company to check it out. They were very thorough and told me the unit had already had 20 years worth of repairs. It was at this time 4 years old; it is now 7 years old. They recommended I stay with Williamson due to the extended warranty - frankly I doubt they wanted the business of dealing with this unit. They made a number of recommendations for changes that might put less stress on the unit; it is not undersize but does not have adequate air returns. The unit is on its 3rd compressor and probably every part has been replaced at least once. Bottom line, this is a bad unit. To make the recommended changes would be very expensive. We have decided to ride it out and hope the system lives a few more years. At that time, I won't buy a Bryant and will compare several contractors. I don't want to dump all this on Williamson, but it certainly hasn't been a good experience so far. They are fine on the phone, get here within a few days of the breakdowns, and arrive promptly (definitely an A in that category). The service quality has been average. The price of the annual contract has increased 60% in 7 years.

Pretty good. This group comes highly recommended and there is no doubt that they know their stuff. I was pretty impressed with the response. I did not have an "emergency", but I called around 9AM or so and the techinician was at my door by 1PM. He was able to quickly diagnose and repair the problem.

It went great. Arrived on time and completed the work as requested.

Our air conditioner went out on Wednesday evening. I called Williamson on Thursday morning to tell them that we may need service but that there were some items I wanted to check first. After all of my checks were completed, my wife called Williamson around noon on Thursday. They couldn't come out Thursday afternoon due to the rain (can't get certain items wet under the A/C cover) but they did come out by 1:30 on Friday afternoon which is when they said they would be here. They did a quick diagnosis and had to go get the breaker but we were back in A/C later that afternoon. We weren't charged since out system is under an extended warranty with them.

Service was great. A/C went out on Friday before Labor Day. I originally called another company (referral from neighbor) 3X on Friday with no returned phone calls. Williamson Heating and Cooling was listed first on Angie's List and they were fantastic. I received 4 courtesy calls within the 2.5 hour window from when I first reported the problem on Saturday morning to someone showing up to repair my unit. They were prompt, honest and very professional. As a single mom who needs assistance with issues such as this, I am a true believer in Angie's List now. Thanks to everyone else who submitted a report on this company in the past as it persuaded me to call them first.

They were prompt in coming out. They did a great job servicing the units. They were good at cleaning up when they finished. They did what they said they would didn't do any extra.

Called for repair at 7 PM. Phone service representative said the company would call me and come out for the repair. No answer an hour later. Called back, the answering service said they'd have someone out. Another hour, no answer. Went with another company, which I won't mention (but see my other reviews). HVAC fixed in 30 minutes.

Great...the office contact is very professional, good communicator. They seem to know what they are doing and stand by their work.

Technician, Jody, was sent to me very efficiently. The problem was diagnosed and fixed promptly. He was very knowledgeable and nice to work with, answering all my questions like what caused the problem and how to prevent it in the future. This entire company is very nice, helpful and efficient.

Average - most recent tech was probably less thorough than on previous occasions.

They are very prompt about calling to set up appts. for bi-annual service checks. The couple of times I've called them up ''in between'' times, they have been able to get out very quickly. They seem to take their time, being very thorough, and have always been willing to explain as much (or as little!) as I was interested in. They have at various times given me advice about how I can make my house more energy efficient.

I am trying to nurse this system to death, until I have to get a new one!! They are absolutely phenomenal.

I had an excellent experience with Williamson Heating. We signed a service contract for them to come out twice a year and check the air conditioner. That's how much I liked them.
