Description of Work: I did not actually use them for tree removal as their initial price was 20% higher than a competitor. However, the sales person was very professional and followed up a few times. Eventually I was offered a lower price but it was now 10% higher than competition. If my first choice didn't come through I would have used Davey.

+ -1 moreDAVEY TREE SERVICE DID AN OKAY JOB ON THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDED. THEY GOT THE JOB DONE AND WERE PROFESSIONAL DURING THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE. HOWEVER, I FEEL THEY OVERPRICED A LITTLE FOR THE WORK PERFORMED.

+ -1 moreComplaints (calls and written) to the local office and then to the national home office went without follow up. Curious that the local BBB says this company has no customer complaints in the last 3 years when I myself have filed one with them. This is a terrible company. They obviously don't give a damn what their customers think about them. I wouldn't refer them to my worst enemy much less use them again.
Description of Work: This company was hired to clean out vegetation overgrown and grind out existing stumps in my yard. They kept cutting off an inch or two off the top of the stumps with a chain saw and refused to grind the stumps completely out. The veg removal was similarly half a**ed. I refused to pay until the work was complete, it never was. Additionally the crew damaged my concrete driveway and porch with their heavy equipment. The salesman seemed to be quite happy to promise anything I asked for to get the job but didn't seem to grasp what any of that was. Repeated requests that a stump grinder be brought in fell on bricked up ears. Even after being told that the job was not complete he kept insisting that he was finished and that I pay him on the spot.

+ -1 moreI am not happy with this company. They did not put the right amount of trees in or enough of the white rocks. The job never got finished. I explained to them, I wanted the job done before I paid them. They never did finish.

+ -1 moreTree service was great. They trimmed up both of our huge maple trees to get rid of the dead branches. While they were there, they double checked the harness that was holding together a split trunk. The personnel are punctual and great communicators.
