Central Carolina Air Conditioning Company Inc Central Carolina Air Conditioning, looked at my air conditioner and was going to charge me a whole lot of money to replace it. The guy didn't want to do the work it took to fix it, he just wanted to sale me a brand new one, and never gave me any options. At the time I only had one income coming in and couldn't afford it so I got a second opinion. On the second opinion, the guy fixed the problem, and didn't try to sale me a new unit. Central Carolina Air, kept calling me trying to get me to sign a service agreement with them, I told them they had already charged me for doing nothing and about what had happened. I felt like they were just trying to make more money from me, they never called me back, and they didn't care about what had happened. I have worked in customer service for many years and I said they have bad customer service and didn't care about making their customer happy at all. It took longer to get my air back on because of this and it was a hot summer. I was very disappointed in them!

The men who installed came just when they said they would and immediately checked to make sure the salesman had told me it would probably take 2 days to do the work, He had and it did! There were modifications that need to be made as far as clearance and ductwork to make the unit inspection compliant. They were very nice and cleaned up beautifully ( a hallmark of this company's service). The unit passed all inspections easily.

We have a contract with them and we see them twice a year. We pay about $200 per year. They are polite, knowledgeable and quick. They don't leave a mess; they clean up after themselves. We've always have a good experience with them.

Technician Jason Hayes (a really nice guy!), immediately identified the problem and source of a loud noise the day before. He called the company who made the unit, went and picked it up and installed it right away. We were grateful as the outside weather was really cold! Jason is very professional and personable. He always wears booties in the house (as do all the people from Central Carolina) and I never mind having them work inside or outside my home.

The service person came out the next day; very prompt, professional, and courteous (even wore shoe covering in the house!). The unit is 30 years old and presented a number of unusual problems for service. He ended up working on it half a day and calling in for special problems. He explained what he was doing every step of the way. While he suggested getting a new unit, there was absolutely no pressure. The air works great now and I'm happy to say we will use this service again when needed.

I have a service agreement with them; where they come out twice a year for routine maintenance. Over the years I have had some emergency issues, and they responded quickly

as scheduled and on time. Friendly, capable, neat personnel

New parts had to be ordered to replace defective Lennox factory equipment immediately after installation. Those took six weeks to arrive and be replaced. Technicians needed months to resolve other concerns like intermittent loud noises in the middle of the night (which still are happening occasionally) and noxious fumes throughout the house. Taping all the joints with better tape resolved the bad smells. It seems the tape they originally used was not top quality. Most recently (Jan 2010) I was concerned that an estimate given for some non-emergency plumbing repairs was four times the estimate of a second reputable company. I would recommend getting a second opinion before signing a contract with this company.

They are very patient and always explain everything. They are very professional and don't track dirt through the house.

The service went very well. They were professional and knowledgeable. They were easy to work with and honest. They clean up after themselves. I would recommend them.

They are awesome. They might be a little more high priced, but they do know what they are doing. They even wear the little booties over their shoes when they come in the door, so as not to get any flooring dirty. My wife feels comfortable around them when they are here, so I do not have to be here.

We hired CC Air because the previous owners had an annual contract with them. The service is a bit pricey but they are courteous, competent, reliable and prompt.

Called another company first (see my reviews). They didn't show for 2 hours. Called this company. Serviceman out in 30 minute. Fixed 15 minutes later. Courteous, helpful. Funny, sympathetic. Really nice experience. I signed up for a service contract with them to make sure my HVAC stayed functional. No complaints, and service at 9pm!

We were contracted with Central Carolina for 9 years. In the summer of 2004 (6th year of contract) we called to report a buzzing noise from the attic. A day or 2 later, they replaced a transformer in the attic unit. The buzzing noise began almost immediately after he said it was fixed and had installed a new transformer. I caught him outside right before he left and SAID the buzzing started again. He went back in the attic and said that it is NOT the transformer, but something wrong with the humidifier. I actually had no idea there was a humidifier. At that point, I asked what we should do? He said we could replace it or just turn it off. I told him to turn it off in the long run it should have been disassembled.) We thought we had a humidifier that was not functioning properly. They continued to service us with the annual contract. Between 2004 to 2007, I started to develop hives and rashes as well as sinus congestion on a regular business. My husband had reoccurring sinus infection and overwhelming fatigue for both of us that gradually became worse. The fall of 2006 we realized something serious was wrong because we started noticing an unusual odor in the house. I developed and continued an increased nauseous and vomiting feeling. My husband also suffered a mild heart attack during this period as well. March of 2007 a technician came to renew our contract for that following year and to do the spring preventative maintenance. I told him what had been going on with us and our home. I mentioned that my husband and I were quite ill and I thought something in our house was making us sick. I asked him if he thought we should add any additional filtration to our system or anything he could think of to help the air quality in our house. He told us he would first check out some things. He went to the attic. A few moments (less than 10 min) he came down with a 5 x 15 in inch filter 1/2 inch thick loaded with mold. Black and other colors, but lots and lots of black. The technician showed it to me and also reported that the first 6 feet of our duct work looked the same as our filter. When I looked at the filter I noticed there was mold. The tech said that he wasn't supposed to use the term "mold", but he conquered that it was. In regards to the humidifier and mold in connection with the A/C, I didn't understand why he found the mold filter in the humidifier because it had been turned off in 2004. He told us that just because the humidifier had been turned off, all air was still flowing through the humidifier vents. He dis-attached the humidifier and taped it up. He also told me a man named Jerry would come the next day to talk to us about replacing the system or anything else he could do. Tech said his hands were tied. I did not want Jerry to come out and talk about a new unit because I was so blown away that this had happened and didn't trust the company anymore. After all the years of services and trusting this company no one ever looked.

The job supervisor was very professional and provided several options to meet our needs. The installation crew went above and beyond our expectations. Their warranty is excellent, and their follow-up maintenance crews are also efficient and professional. Central Carolina Air is the real deal if you want those old-fashioned concepts of personal service, efficiency, and competence. They walk the walk and do what they say they will do. I would not hesitate to recommend this company. If Angie's List had an A+ grade I would give it to them!

The price is a little more than I would like it to be, but they have a good service. We have a yearly contract with them for this service. They are completely reliable and answer all of my questions. This is the case where you get what you pay for. You are paying for a dependable and professional company that does awesome work!

After we had the furnace installed there was a problem with an area of the duct work. It took a while for them to come back, although when they did get here, they fixed the problem. I also felt their price was high.

They were always responsive and conscientious. One of the things I liked was that they wore booties inside my home, which I thought showed a lot of respect for my property. The units work fine. The men were polite, professional, and they also came when they said they would. The price was just a little high, but we got results.

We got good service from this company, but we think they are overpriced. They did come as agreed and were professional and courteous. I also feel that they were very dependable and responsive, but because of the price I just don't think we'll continue with them.

I have only good things to say about this contractor. They come as agreed and are very courteous and neat. We also think their professionalism is good because they always call us ahead of time to arrange the best time for us. We think their price is fair for the great service we get.

They are great with my yearly contract as I get emergency service free in case something goes wrong, they come straight out. The crew that they sent out was very clean and respectful. Every time they come they are on time and they send me a reminder every 6 months to let me know it is time to service the units.

They are very responsible and they always make sure to answer all of our questions. They are always on time and the quality of the work is excellent. I would recommend them to other people because they are dedicated to the service and really take good care of your equipment.

I like them pretty much. They're a little pricey for me right now. I'd rather find someone equally good but a little less pricey. They do a seasonal service in the upper $70s or low $80s. They conduct themselves rather well when they're out here.

WE'VE HAD BETTER SERVICE FROM IN THE PAST. I SEEM TO NOTICE A LOT MORE DUST IN MY HOME. I DON'T THINK THEY DID A THOROUGH JOB. I DO THINK THAT THE SERVICE PEOPLE ARE PLEASANT AND DO TRY HARD TO MAKE YOU HAPPY.

THEY ARE EXCELLENT. WE CAN CALL THEM 24 HOURS A DAY 7 DAYS A WEEK IF WE HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AND THEY WILL COME RIGHT OUT TO TAKE A LOOK AT THE UNIT AND SERVICE IT.
